  1. These are awesome! I'm going to have to put them in the "Save" file too. I haven't decided if we'll do OOT bags yet because we may have too many people to lug all of that stuff down to Mexico but I may have to find a different use for them because they are so gosh darn cute! Good job! I also really like your logo. Did you create it yourself or have someone do it for you?
  2. I sent my STDs out in early July for our wedding next August. I wanted everyone to have as much time as possible to save up if they wanted to join us. I plan to send formal invitations asking for an RSVP sometime in April. I included the TA and accomodation info in our STD package and so fare we have almost 40 people booked already!
  3. Congratulations and best of luck with the "new" planning!
  4. Yay the pics are up! You look gorgeous. I love the lace detailing on the dress and the veil you got is a perfect match. Love it!
  5. Your pics came out awesome. My favorite picture is the one of you laughing on the chair. My fiancee is a State Trooper and he would just die if I got pictures taken in his uniform. That is so HOT! Now you've got me considering it too bit I don't know if I've got the courage for it!
  6. Everything looks so awesome! I can't believe your wedding is only a month or so away. All of your DIY projects came out beautifully. I hope I have just as much luck when my time comes! I've already saved your templates to my "Wedding" folder. Where did you get the plastic covers for your luggage tags? I can't wait till your wedding day arrives especially since I'm getting married at the same resort. I've been patiently waiting for you and Susan to get married already so I can get the full report! I'm sure everything will be great )
  7. I only need to lose about 10 pounds but those last 10 pounds are always the hardest. I figured this was good option since the focus is on eating healthy rather then "dieting". It is scary when you see how many calories are in certain foods that you thought were good for you. Hopefully this will kick my butt in gear although I'm going on vacation next week so maybe I shoulda started when I get back!

She was very helpful and also created the stationary paper for me even though it wasn't one of her standard products. I highly recommend this vendor
  9. Oh and another 80s great.... You Spin Me Round by Dead or Alive
  10. One of my fav songs to dance to is the 80s classic by Lime - Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight. Here's a link in case anyone doesn't know who they are (it may be a remixed version though!). I actually just found out who sang it a few months ago! YouTube - Lime - Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight
  11. Oops I misspoke! Thanks for checking me Jilly! He was $500-$600 cheaper then Claudia's package for the same amount of time (5-6 hours) is what I meant to say! Essentially the same thing would cost approx $2200 with Claudia and $1700 with Michael. I have all the figures on my desk at work so I'll double check everything and then get back to y'all with the details tomorrow.
  12. I sent these out about 2 months ago but just got around to taking and posting the pictures. Thought I'd share to get some more ideas out there. I bought the card stock and paper with the palm trees on it and then printed the text myself and tied it all together with 3 different colored raffia ribbons (which are a bit smushed from being stuffed in an envelope for months!). I was so happy with the way that these came out I'm actually considering doing my own invites now too.
  13. Hi Laura - Not to confuse you any more but I also came across these when I was looking for my own invitation ideas... Just thought I'd share. You can mix/match the paper and ink colors to get exactly what you want. Good luck deciding! Cherry Blossom Wedding Invitations - MyGatsby - Wedding Invitations and More
  14. Has anyone out there tried Calorie King? CalorieKing - Diet and weight loss. Calorie Counter and more. I just signed up last Saturday so we'll see how well it works. So far so good though but I don't "weigh-in" till Saturday morning. I've been sticking to my calorie and exercise plan so hopefully the scale will be headed in the right direction. Would love to hear any feedback you ladies may have.
  15. I believe only Michael Maurus is a photographer but I could be wrong. I believe that Petra is a wedding ceremony officiant that can perfom the ceremony if need be. If you find out differently please let me know! I think that I'm going to go with Michael becuase he has a package that does not include prints, just a CD & website of ALL pictures taken during the time period you hire him for. I then plan to select and "print" the prints myself and create coffee table books for the parents/in-laws. I don't have the exact figures in front of me but I believe this option was about $500-$600 cheaper then Claudia's lowest package. I had also inquired with Claudia if she had a "no print" option and she does but it would only be about $100 cheaper. It all depends on what is important to you. To me, while I want pictures, I don't necessarily want to spend a ton of money on them. Both photographers have great prices to begin with, Michael's are just a little better for a very similar style. Also - be sure to ask that the travel fee be removed from the contract. I was told there was NO travel fee for weddings held in Cancun... which ours are! Every little bit helps )
  16. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it!) they are both available for my date!
  17. I am actually still up in the air about either Michael Maurus photography (Petra's husband) or Claudia. I love both of their styles, which are very similar, but while Michael offers a cheaper package Claudia offers a well known reputation for being very good. What's a girl to do? I did speak to clients of Michael's for references and all were good but there is still something preventing me from making the final decision. Can't quite put my finger on it!
  18. Thanks everyone! I'm 99% sure I'm going with the 1st one. I'm going to go back in a couple of weeks after my vacation to the shore in Maryland and try them on again. I want to see how they look when I'm nice and tan. Plus I finally got my highlights touched up so I won't look like such a schlep in the pictures!
  19. Sherry - Where did you get these reviews from? This has been one of my top concerns as well. I will be VERY disappointed if the DJ is not good. I was under the impression that Dreams hired a DJ from outside of the resort for all weddings and that you had to use that company. I could be wrong though. Have you heard differently? Thanks! Jenn

  21. My good friend just honeymooned in Bermuda last month and loved it. I believe the place she stayed at was called The Reefs. Her pictures looked amazing and it definitely appears to be an intimate place. Here is the website: www.thereefs.com. If you'd like to see her pictures send me a PM ) Good luck!
  22. I really like orange/coral flowers with torqouise as well. Honestly I think anything bright will look great!
  23. Thanks for all the comments girls! I'm definitely leaning towards the 1st one too! I'll let you know when I officially decide.
