  1. I had originally planned on Dreams as my venue. Marilu drove me nuts, so I found Kristin. Her weddings are gorgeous, but out of my budget. While communicating with her and viewing previous weddings she had coordinated, I noticed she is big on the lounge/cocktail area. If this is something you are wanting to replicate, I think you would have to keep in mind if Dreams has the man power to make this happen, or if you are able to find an outside vendor to coordinate with your WC to make sure the site is set up.
  2. Great pics. It looked so fun. It's not a party until somebody jumps in the pool. You looked beautiful!
  3. I know Ann posted a site that custom makes veils, but here's another option. Veil Artistry: Custom Bridal Veils, Wedding Headpieces, and Bridal Accessories On their site they have every imaginable style of veil. Some of them I have never seen before (and some I wished to never see on a bride after the 80's ) But I will say they do have some great veils. I put in for a quote so I will keep you updated on the cost. Toby, (hopefully you see this) if you are still looking for birdcages, they had some very pretty ones. So pretty, I thought how it would look on me for a sec, but I don't think I could pull it off.
  4. Oh crap, I was too late! At least I voted for the one you bought!
  5. First of all, you look awesome in all three. Any choice would be beautiful. But I voted for #1 even though I can't see the front pic. It's very romantic looking. The ruffles are beautiful and I love uniquess of it. Ultimately if you can't decide on how it looks, I would then choose based on comfort. What's better than looking beautiful AND being comfortable?
  6. I'm a little late on this but wanted to share my 2 cents. I never had the "one" feeling. I fell in love with a picture, never found the dress, but tried on a similar one to see what the cut would look like on me. Ordered my dress without ever seeing it actually on. I love the dress...I got a steal on it $778 instead of the retail price of $1100 (see my thread about the accident the bridal shop made while ordering my dress). I deliberated on many dresses and came close to buying others. But I kept thinking about this other dress I never saw in person. I didn't want to spend more than $800 but in the end, I decided I would purchase the $1100 dress. I only got it for my $800 budget on accident. After all this, do I know it's the "one?" No, but I hope it is! I just more than happy to finally decide on one. I can't handle all the decisions and this big one is off my plate.

Edit, I can see the pictures now. Its BEAUTIFUL. Congrats. I can't wait to see it on you. Your dress is beautiful though! I took up your advice and went to David's Bridal to see the difference. David's version has a different fabric. Still gorgeous and it was much more light weight! I fell in love with a different dress though. I found the Tuscana Royale knock off of Maggie at David's as well, but I had to buy the Maggie Version instead. I'm sure there is another dress twin because Grace Lynette is a beautiful dress!

It has a tiny bit of coral in it. It's really gorgeous beading. I can't wait to see it on. I tried on the "Tuscana Vidal-posing as a Tuscana Royale." They are very similiar in cut so I'm not worried. I just want to see the whole dress in color. Not just the tiny sample!
  9. Listen to this- I went to the bridal shop to purchase my dream dress last night- Tuscana Royale. I knew it was a $1000+ dress. They said they had it and pulled out the dress. They don’t print the names on the tag, just the item number. It didn't look right to me, and I thought it looked like Tuscana Vidal. I asked her “Are you sure this is Tuscana Royale?†She pulled out the book and looked at the picture and said “Yep, it’s just in a different color- that’s why it looks different.†I wasn’t too sure about it because the dress even had a different material. They were identical except for the material. Even with doubts, I took her word for it because she rang it up and marked that I wanted Gold with Gold & Coral Lace. I knew Tuscana Vidal didn’t come in that color. I figured she showed me the wrong dress, but I was Ok with it as long as she ordered me Tuscana Royale. On the agreement you sign, they just write the item number and specific instructions (here she wrote the color I wanted.) I signed it thinking- Awesome! Got the dress I love for $300 cheaper. I must have found an outdated price on the internet since this is a Fall 2006 dress. I get home and pull out the fabric swatches she gave me for Tuscana Royale and found my receipt that was attached to the order guide. On the receipt it said “Tuscana Vidal in Gold with Gold & Coral Lace.†Through my research I knew this wasn’t a possible combo. Since all sales are final, I freaked a bit. But I knew they had to change something. The dress they ordered ISN’T POSSIBLE. I called this morning- yep, they made a mistake. Tuscana Royale is $1100 not $778. They corrected it and ordered me the Tuscana Royale, but gave it to me for the $778 price for their mistake. Can you believe that? I saved $300 for their mistake!!! I was stressing about ordering a dress $300 more than my budget, and now I don't even have to worry about it! I'm so excited!
  10. I found this Maggie dress on my last shopping attempt. I absolutely love it, but it was $200 more than I wanted to spend. I know that doesn't seem like much, but I keep pushing my budget further and further. However, I found it on this website: Maggie Sottero Wedding Dress Tuscana Royale [Tuscana Royale] - $0.00 : Wedding Dresses, Prom Dresses, Wedding Accessories at BestBridalPrices.com If you buy a Maggie dress you get a veil (up to $120) and shoes (up to $50) for free. I already picked out a veil and a pair of shoes (the shoes won't be for the wedding day because I planned on not wearing any. They were cute wedges I could wear every day.) I keep rationalizing that this deal will equal out to my 2nd choice Maggie dress that is $800. However, it's just so hard because I didn't want to buy a $1000 dress in the beginning. I feel kinda horrible even thinking about it, but I love it! Did any of you feel this way? What did you do?
  11. Beautiful wedding. I love the Mary Poppins idea. Congrats!
  12. You are so tan! It makes your dress so bright white. Stunning. I also love your colors. The stark contrast of aqua vs orange is gorgeous.
  13. That's what I'm wondering too. I always wondered why Sunday was double price. That would be awesome if you can name your own times. My only complaint about Las Caletas is I wish I could have the ceremony a little earlier. I love the bright vivid ocean in the pics. But I know it would be a lot hotter too so it might be an even trade.

  15. I'm planning on doing the site visit a few days prior to the wedding. But other than that, we booked the site because we thought it was gorgeous by pictures alone.
  16. These are so cute! Nice work Courtney! Very impressive. It's also very cute you made Aaron help. My FI helped with the STD but I only trusted him to tie the knots and hole punch. It was a nice bonding time.

I was getting my hair done and told her I was getting married in PV. She got so excited and volunteered to do my hair. I couldn't refuse....and why would I? It seems that a lot of people love the excuse to take a vacation and seeing your wedding is an added plus.
  18. How much does it cost for each individual to go over to LC early on the wedding day? I know 3 are free, but does anyone know what it will cost there after? Side note- I had so much reading to do since I was on a vacation for a week. And I thought about this forum too many times. It's an addiction.
  19. You got those at the dollar store? Gorgeous. I need to move where there's better dollar stores apparently!

I have the hard time walking on the beach with flip flops. I hope I don't end up looking like a clomping horse walking down the isle. Those are come cute shoes though. Nice finds Ann.
