i don't have an answer for you but i giggled at your post. i can feel your frustration/curiosity/excitement in picking a location and just wanting to make sure you're picking the best one good luck!! -
holy smokes! that is one late party! i would never make it that late! ours ends at 1030... but because our guests have to take a boat back (1 hr ride) and don't want to force people to stay out. but i'm still jealous that you'll have a crazy long wedding party!!!

i also think this park looks familiar!! i'm sure there are only a few in MN that look like this, ha! I think what you have is good. It is a park and i think here less is more! I love the paper lantern idea.

This is always a sticky situation. I'm with you in that I think that if given a years notice people should be able to plan for it accordingly. However, that may not always be the case, just as the reason they are not coming may not be due to money. We have some people who are pretty against this whole DW in the first place that seem to use money as an excuse.... it sucks, but really what can you do?

Hey, how about Moon Palace Golf Resort and Spa? We stayed there last new years and it was sooooo great. There were lots of free activities included, close enough to Cancun to go to the flea markets. Plus there are activities at the resort. We loved it!
