But, you are right....My cat that died last summer from feline luekemia virus drank a lot of water. I don't mean to scare you, but you asked for opinions. Def. get him checked out!!! Has he always been this thirtsty? Did you take him to the vet when you first got him to get checked out? Is he current on shots? Thanks Martha. This is definitely different from him coming in from playing or something like that - it's pretty constant. From what we can remember he's always been a freak about water. He is current on his shots and he has been seen by two vets who gave him a clean bill of health around 4 months...

I wrote the head of the Westie Rescue that we adopted him from and this is what she had to say... Quote: I have seen lots of Westies who drink LOTS of water. Most of them are kennel dogs, though. Our vet in Edmond used to try to diagnose all our doggies with Addison's, but it never panned out. I think he now knows that Westies just have strange water consumption habits and are not usually totally trained until they are close to 1 year old. I would not worry too much about it if he seems to be concentrating his urine OK. He is still pretty young to expect him to be 100% potty trained. I would not leave water with him during the day if you are not home. He will survive just fine. When he was a baby, we had a 2 gallon automatic waterer and he didn't seem to drink that much then, but he did play in it. Another thing to consider is maybe his food is making him thirsty. How about treats? Are they smoked flavor? I have also know Westies that like to play in water (my Katie likes to float toys and chewies in the water and splash the water out of the bowl with her nose). Still others dig in their water bowl. If he is not acting sick, I would think it is more of a quirk than a health issue. So *hopefully* he is OK. We still don't know what is going on with the eliminating in his kennel thing... I've never known a dog to go to the bathroom so much in their "home"...

Our puppy Conor is around 8.5 months old, and seems absolutely fixated on water - obsessed even. We give him a bowl 3x/day and he can never get enough. As much as we try and stop him, he drinks the bath water (he would drink it all if he could - bubbles included!), and when it is raining he drinks water off the sidewalk, water coming from the gutters, puddles in the yard... any and every bit he can get his little Westie tongue on! We finally had to separate the two dogs during feeding time because Conor will drink all the water out of both of the bowls. At first we just thought it was a phase or that it might just be a quirk but now we are beginning to worry. He still goes to the bathroom in his box several times a week even though we take him outside at least 5x a day. We really only have our Dachshund to compare him to, and he does not possess any of these behaviors. So I'm wondering if any of you have come across this before?? I've read on the internet that this can be a symptom of some pretty big health issues (diabetes, kidney issues, etc.) but it seems like vets have varying opinions on it - some say it's normal and others say it's not. We are waiting to speak with our neighbor who is a vet after he gets home tonight to see what he thinks...

Aye yi yi, I just read this. We wanted to go check this place out on our visit and were disappointed that we didn't get to - NOT ANYMORE! I really hope the Westin is better about this... aye yi yi. It really does seem like these big hotel chains down there put you wayyyy below conventions and things like that. -

For the record Nicole said nobody ever fell overboard, but once they thought they lost a drunk GM but found him curled up asleep in some cubby on the boat..haha LOL Nicole was telling me a story of some drunk college kids who came over and they started jumping off the boat! They also wore bathing suits to their friends wedding... how rude!

It was so much fun! We had around 20 people show up - so nice to see all of our friends together in one place. Our friend who threw the shower ended up surprising us with a play of how we met, the engagement, etc. It was a bit off and most of the guests didn't really understand it but it was funny nonetheless. Also I found our that our friends are pretty good actors! haha Oh, and she gave me the script - I will have to figure out how to post it up on here We got some great gifts - lots of candles and wine which we love We are not registered anywhere so I was surprised almost everyone brought us gifts - unexpected surprise Asking the bridesmaids went off perfectly!!! All said yes. My BFF couldn't finish reading the card because she was ready to bawl. So cute! And their individual reactions to the shots were classic. We served a Woo-woo (?). First BM said "Thanks for the Kool-Aid"... 2nd said "Mmmm, yummy"... 3rd made a puckery face and you could tell she had a tough time downing it. I gave them all unique seashell necklaces which somehow PERFECTLY matched what each of them had on - they loved it! I have a bunch of pics but since we have this new HD memory card we can only upload them onto Martin's computer so please bear with me... -
That is horrible. I'm so sorry.

I have pics of the stairs somewhere... I think they're posted in my first LC review. If not I'm sure I can find some. As for the dramamine - yes I would suggest advising any seasick guests to take the "Non-Drowsy" version 30 mins. prior to departure. From what I hear that's about how long it takes to kick in. I plan on putting it in everyone's OOT bags with directions advising them about this if they have tendencies toward motion/sea sickness. I miss LC already... -
He is absolutely adorable! Love the pic with Great Grandma

I wander if that's similar to pink panties. The only reason I'm doing girly shots are because 2 of the girls really don't drink much and one *rarely* takes shots so I was thinking if it was just a fruity vodka flavored shot that'd be easier to choke down for them. Now the other girl would probably take anything I ordered straight up Good ideas on the cards/letters. I was actually just thinking of getting some generic cards and writing my own thoughts on the inside. Definitely more personalized that way. I have to go by Target today anyways because I am short 1 seashell necklace, but I remember seeing some very similar ones at Target as the ones I got down in PV. Hopefully she won't notice! -
