  1. Hi. Vanessa was our photographer and we loved her. Not only was she professional, talented, affordable, and efficient. She was also just a really sweet person. Jay and I got married by ourselves. On wedding morning, my dressing assistant never showed up. I answered my door to Vanessa in a robe and my veil. She helped me zip up and calmed me with girl talk as she took photos of me. She hand delivered the photo CD to us while we were on our honey moon just a few days later. I was blown away by her beautiful pics. I highly recommend Vanessa. Here's a link to our pics: Slideshow of jason and karen wedding 1 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
  2. That is sooooooo inappropriate! i agree with everybody else that this guy needs to be reported.
  3. that there is no more beautiful way to marry your soul mate than with your feet in the sand and waves crashing around you that love really is the only thing that matters that one should put sunscreen on if one is going to have a 2 hour photo shoot on the beach in Mexico in July follow your gut and your heart that people will eventually accept your choices as long as you treat them and yourself with respect. that my husband is an incredible planner and partner to never drink a lot of tequila and champagne on an empty stomach
  4. I am so sorry for your loss.
  5. Rachel, I hope you find peace and comfort during this difficult time. But it sounds like you have the perfect frame of mind to make your dreams come true. Some of the worse times/ experiances in my life have actually turned out to be the greatest blessings in my life. I hope every wonderful thing you always wanted (and didn't know you wanted) comes to you!
  6. I voted for #2. I agree that the red stones may be better suited for earrings, necklace or bracelet.
  7. Tammy, your photos are beautiful!!! My faves are the yellow flowers.
  8. Happy Birthday Abbie!!!! Have a wonderful day!!
  9. That is so awesome! It is so cool when we can get to our tough guys and make them teary. It think the presents that made Jay the most teary that I have given him were Yankee tickets vs. Boston, Yankee Old timer DaY tickets, and his wedding watch. And Harty I love your storytelling too!
  10. For our wedding last year, we stayed in the Dreams Jr Suite Garden View/Ocean View. I was very happy with our room. It was clean and nicely decorated. Our shower was huge with a whilpool tub. The only down side was that our room was over the night club so techno music was our lulabye each night. Jay stayed in a deluxe ocean view room the night before our wedding. He said it wasn't as nice.
  11. Jason and I can do Sept. 20. We are from Albany (Upstate NY) about 3 hours north of NYC.
  12. Jay and I don't have any big plans for the fall as of yet so we should be available except 9/27/08. That's my mom's birthday!
  13. Jay and I have been watching the Olympics nightly. I love it Gymnastics, beach volleyball and swimming are my faves right now. While watching though I can't help but to think "Man, I'm lazy." lol
  14. I would talk to your WC about your options. There's no doubt that you guys are not the only couple who have encountered this problem. My husband and I had a wedding for 2 as well. A room for the groom the night before the wedding was included in our wedding package so we slept in separate rooms the night before. I thought I was going to be lonely but it was a nice opportuunity to reflect and have some alone time before the wedding. On the morning of our wedding, our WC arranged for mimosas and breakfast to be delivered to my room before hair and makeup. It was so nice. Even if you don't want to spend the night without each other before the wedding, it still might be nice to see if there is a room available for him during the day.
  15. Good Luck! Hopefully everything gets resolved and you have a speedy recovery.
  16. Maura, I hope you and Jose had the day our your dreams! Congrats!!!!!!
  17. Yea!!! Sounds like it will be a great time! Have fun!
  18. I agree with what everyone else said. I've fallen in love with Polenta too. It's corn meal which you can find pre-made and packaged. Jay and I fry it in the frying pan using fat free cooking spray. We usually have it with low fat pasta sauce, parm cheese, and turkey sausage. I love it with salsa, non fat shredded cheddar, and non fat sour cream. Oh and you can make low fat pizza with low fat pitas non fat mozzerella and low fat sauce. Yeah there definately is a lot you can eat that is healthy besides just chicken.
  19. Almost the same thing happened to me. My husband caught a glimpse of my gown on my camera. He promised that all is saw was the color white. So I didn't worry and he was all smiles with a twinkle in his eye when he saw me walk down the aisle. Besides it's not the gown that he will be looking at on your wedding day so much as you in the gown looking beautiful. It's the total picture that matters.
  20. So I'm considering becoming a brunette for fall/ winter and wanted to see what it would look like. I found the coolest website to try new hair, makeup, and accessory looks. I have spent the last hour on it and my husband has been laughing his ass off at the silly looks. Very fun and may be helpful in choosing a bridal look. You can try on tiaras too! 21. Yeah, I really wouldn't worry about any of this. I think psychics can act as guides but ultimately you are the designer of your fate.
  22. Happy Happy Birthday Glenda!!!!! Hope your day is as sweet and wonderful as you are!!!!
