  1. Our problem with that would be, how do we use a debit card to pay for the deed?? We never have cash!!! Amy P.S. I remember reading something like this in Ann Landers YEARS ago, but I think they only put in a dollar each time!
  2. Love that pic of the 3 of you with no tube!!!! SO happy that she's doing so well and you get to go home soon! She is so beautiful!!!! I'll be thinking of the 3 of you for a safe trip home! Amy P.S. Austin has that same green-striped outfit! I think it was one that someone bought before we knew he was a "he"! Daddy might think it's a little "girly", but I might put it on him to get a pic in it!

Debbie had a girl in Jan, and Erin is having a boy any day now. How funny that we have 2 boys and 2 girls in the 4th grade! Seems like there are lots more girls on the BDW forum! Amy
  4. Susan~ I don't think I remember seeing that you are pregnant!! CONGRATS!!!! Amy
  5. Lisa~ Take it from me, you are going to LOVE that little hotdog!!! Well, not the ACTUAL hotdog itself, but the little guy it's attached to!!!! It is GREAT having a boy!!!! (This comes from someone who is SOOOO attached to her niece, that she wanted a girl at first!) Of course I'm hoping #2 will be a girl, but my little guy is SOOOO sweet!!! Congrats! Amy
  6. Tammy~ Love your new bedroom color! Looks great! So nice and simple in there~ makes me think I need to "de-clutter" my room a little!!! A little off-topic~ I have the same cabinet above my toilet as you do!!! From Target, right?? Amy
  7. Happy first anniversary Ann & Paul!!! Hope your day with your little cutie pie is great! Amy

  9. WOW!!! I'm glad you talked to your brother~ hopefully he'll realize how terrible they were and make it up to your parents. Since I just had Austin 2 weeks ago, I think I can relate to this situation. I had him at 5:01 p.m. I went in at 6 that morning to be induced. I was surprised that my MIL didn't take the day off to be there all day, but glad. My mom asked if I wanted her to come with us at 6, but I thought there was no point in her getting up, because who knows how long it was going to take. She called me, and came up around 11:00. When we found out I needed to have a C-section (around 4:00), DH called his mom, she left work, and came up with his dad. Right after I had Austin, I was able to BF and bond with him for about 2 hours while they finished getting him cleaned up, etc. When the "all-clear" was given, (around 7:00), in walked my mom, dad, step-mom, grandma, aunt, brother, his fiance, my niece, MIL, FIL, SIL, and her fiance. Yes, it was quite a roomful, but EVERYONE there was SOO excited about my baby (2nd grandchild on my side, first on DH's). It was a little chaotic for a bit, but it felt so good knowing they all wanted to be there. They didn't stay long, and we got back to our "bonding" and resting time. Since we've been home, my MIL comes over about every other day~ sometimes it gets to be a bit much, but I know how much she loves Austin, and just wants to hold him for a little while. (My parents- divorced- live on the same street about 3 blocks from us, and in-laws live about 3 blocks the other way). There is no way that I could say some get to visit, even if that's how I felt. Hopefully your SIL will come to her senses soon! Amy
  10. We did the whole "shi-bang", and it was awesome! We were so glad that we got to celebrate with so many people at home. We (and the wedding party) wore our wedding attire. We had a DJ, a huge cake (which we didn't have in Mexico), flowers, etc. Don't regret it one bit! Amy
  11. Love the fuzzy hair! She has a ton of hair! Is that bottom outfit (in the bath post) from Gymboree? I think I have the yellow "boy" version of it! Keep adding the pix! Amy
  12. Hello~ Just downloaded the trial version of Lumapix, and trying to make birth announcements. How can I change the color of my text box? I have a black background for the whole canvas, white font, and want the background of the text to be blue, and can't figure it out. Thanks! Amy
  13. Wow! I remember when you got married and can't believe it's been a year!!! A month from today will be my anniversary~ I can't believe it!!! Have a WONDERFUL day! That steak sounds yummy!!! Amy
  14. So sorry to hear about your Aunt! I hope they figure it out and get her taken care of soon! A similar thing happened to my neighbor the other day. April has had quite a few miscarriages, and she is pregnant now- due around Sept or so- this is the longest she's been pg. Anyway, her husband woke up to her having a seizure Friday morning. He called 911, they went to the hospital, and she was released at noon. Her husband was on the phone making an appt for an EEG, when she had her 2nd seizure (about 1:00- only AN HOUR after they got home!). Another 911 call, and they kept her until the next day. They said she and the baby are fine, but now she's on this medication that's making her seem really out of it. She went to her OB on Tuesday, but I haven't heard what they said (her DH and mine talk more than she and I do). Anyway, her DH is afraid that something will happen when he is at work and they have no family around here. She is supposed to text him every hour, but then she goes to sleep (he works 2nd shift). We have their garage door opener in case of an emergency. IL law says she can't drive for 6 months because of having the seizures. Sorry for the novel~ just sounded similar! Amy
  15. Congratulations!!! You're getting married on my 1-year anniversary!!!! Sounds like we got engaged around the same time too~ it was Christmas Day 2006 for us! Enjoy every minute!! Amy
  16. What gorgeous pix, Maria! Keep sharing! Amy
  17. I don't think you did share that story, Ann, but I think you need to! If I'm guessing correctly, I think I have the same story! Amy
  18. Thanks for all the tips! I got it to save as a JPEG~ duh~ I should've been able to figure that part out! Now the problem I have, is that when I try to upload it to snapfish and walmart, it's telling me that the resolution isn't high enough to print 5 X 7's. Is that happening since I have text and text boxes there, besides pix? Do you think it will be OK how it is? I might just send 1 print to each place and see how they turn out. Amy
  19. Hello, I'm designing Austin's birth announcements in Powerpoint, and can't remember how to save the slide as a jpeg so I can get them printed as pictures. Does that make sense? If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it! Thanks! Amy P.S. Also, trying to remember the site where I made a picture collage a few months back~ anyone know what I'm talking about??
  20. Congrats Mo! Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy! Amy
  21. I guess since I'm now officially a mommy, I can't post on this thread anymore!!! I am so happy that everybody's pregnancies are going so well!!! Those small inconveniences will TOTALLY leave your mind once your little one arrives! The terrible swelling in my legs and the gestational diabetes- can't hardly remember them now! I feel like I have the SKINNIEST legs I've ever had! I've lost 40 pounds, and Austin is only 11 days old (I gained about 35). Still can't comfortably get my engagement ring on (my wedding band is a 1/4 size bigger, and that is fine), but I have put it on a few times! I still have some tightening feelings in my hands. Austin had his first doctor's appt. today, and he now weighs 7 lbs. 11 oz. (was 7 lbs. 14 oz. at birth, 7 lbs. 3oz. when we left the hospital, and 7 lbs. 6 oz. last Tuesday when we went for a post-partum appt.). The doctor is very happy that he's gaining! He should be since I'm feeding him about every 2 hours!!! Although I can't believe he's gaining anything with the amount of peeing and pooping he does!!! Keep posting to this thread so I can know how everyone is doing!!! Oh, and to those of you peeing at 4:30, I'll think of you when I'm feeding at that time! Amy
  22. I registered with PC because one of my good friends sells it. I got stuff from her, her mom, and 1 other person. In my experience, if people had to do it online, they chose not to (with the exception of a few people who live out of town who did Target or Bergners). It is great stuff!! Amy
  23. That's great that they have so much time to get them. My niece was born on May 1st (last year), and we got married on July 5th~ they applied for it, but it didn't come yet. She had to take proof of application and her birth certificate (which my brother's fiance forgot- the birth certificate), so they ended up having to come the next day, while my brother flew out that day with some other family members. Luckily my aunt and uncle were coming the next day, so FSIL and my niece came with them. Amy
  24. Ann~ She looks great! Love the pink outfit!! Looks like she has some pretty chubby cheeks~ although I know Austin's cheeks look a little chubbier in pix than real life. So glad she's gaining weight!!!! Keep postin'! Amy
