I think this season is going to be scandelous(sp) and skanky. Guaranteed there will be some sex! I wonder who the first couple will be.. perhaps Amanda and Alex? I saw online somewhere (I think in a link that was posted here), that someone has already gone "under the covers", and another couple was having sex in the community bathroom! They haven't even known each other a week yet! Amy
  3. I am so excited I was finally able to open this thread!!!! (Just watched the first 2 episodes!) I can't wait for tonight! I think this season is going to be very good! So what does everyone think of Jacob? At first, I thought he seemed like a nice guy who made some wrong choices (we won't go there) and felt terrible about it, but now I'm not so sure. He seems slimy all around. I'm sure there won't be a love re-connection there- especially since they're already gone. Amy

I think I'm kinda still in shock about the whole thing! What can we do to stop this madness? It seems to happening everywhere! I'm in Machesney Park, just outside of Rockford. I used to teach in Lindenwood. Amy
  5. NIU is VERY close to where I live. Many people from my area attend that college. A sub at school today got a call from his girlfriend who was in lock-down in her classroom because it had just happened. It is so sad! I just can't understand what makes people do these things. So sad to think that people have to be nervous as they go about their daily business (just like the Lane Bryant shooting a few weeks ago!). Amy
  6. Christine~ So glad you and Ainsleigh didn't get hurt! My Yukon slipped on some black ice this morning- so glad no cars were around!!!! Think I'll take the advice of some and go get a Caramello out of the vending machine!!!! Amy P.S. Saw on the other thread how your E-ring is set~ mine is the same way!
  7. 1st one And, had to say that you're getting married on my first anniversary!!!!! Amy
  8. Dear DH~ Why were you driving me crazy last night and this morning? Don't you realize how much WORSE I could be? I'm pregnant, haven't really been that ornery, and don't ask that much of you. Please remember how you usually tell me that you have the coolest wife out of all of your friends, and APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!! Signed, The one who could be a lot worse!!!!!
  9. Happy Birthday Tammy! I hope this year brings you LOTS of happiness!!!! Amy

  11. I bought a second dress for my TTD. It was a white bridesmaid dress, and cost around $125 (with shipping to the store~ it was kinda last minute!). I didn't want to use my real dress, because I was having an AHR. Funny thing is, my TTD dress looks better than my real one now, because it was dry-cleaned and looks PERFECT! My real dress had some of the beading come off when it was dry-cleaned for me to wear for the AHR, so I decided against having it dry-cleaned again! It's in a heap in my spare-bedroom (which is supposed to be being turned into a nursery right now!), and my TTD is hanging up nicely in it's dry-cleaning bag!!!! My husband wore khaki pants (not his suit pants), and a different white shirt. Amy
  12. I totally forgot that we have the top layer from our AHR cake at my in-laws'! My cake lady told me how to wrap it to keep it the best. She said people who have eaten it, said it was still good! That'll be more than I had at the AHR~ never got to finish the piece we were feeding each other, and thought we'd have a TON left~ we had none ! Amy
  13. Kelly! That looks awesome!!! So nice to see pix of my wedding place on there too!!!! Amy
  14. And who gives stripper lessons on New Year's Eve? Funny!!!
  15. Congratulations, Jessica!!! From that pic, he looks a lot like his Daddy! So glad everything went well for you! Amy
  16. My Littermaid just went out in the trash tonight after being broken for months! It worked great for awhile, then something went goofy with the cord (it was so long ago now, that I can't remember exactly). Something like the cord got off the track, and even my DH (who is a mechanic), couldn't take the thing apart and get it to work again. The company was no help~ e-mailed them, and they sent directions that made NO SENSE! I've been using it all this time as a regular litterbox, thinking after spending that much on the damn thing, it might "magically" fix itself. No such luck~ bought 2 $5.98boxes at Wal-Mart and finally pitched the Littermaid! Amy

I got married at Playacar (LOVED IT, BTW!), and we did not have to have dinner at the same time every night. We chose our dinner times each day that we made reservations. Our whole group said they'd all go back to Playacar! Amy
  18. I had a similar situation. They told everyone girlfriend was pg in November, we got engaged Christmas Day, planned the wedding for July 5 (I'm a teacher and needed a summer wedding!). Anyway, at one point, there was talk about my bro not going, and I felt the same way as you. They all ended up coming, and I am SO HAPPY that I had pix with my beautiful 2-month-old niece on my wedding day! Now, my DH's brother didn't come (not for any baby reasons), and my hubby still hasn't talked to him yet! Although, I do need to say they're not as close as I am with my brother, but still, he should've been there. Good luck with this! Amy

  20. Have you seen this? YouTube - best first dance brubaker It's HILARIOUS!!!! I'm thinking they're a destination couple with their attire~ I know some of you girls wore that dress~ I tried it on too!!! Amy
  21. The way we did ours, was we put the sand in a cheap glass vase we bought at the Wal-Mart there, then left the frame there. I didn't want to worry about keeping it in one piece on the way home, plus I knew I wouldn't keep it displayed in an open vase (cats and worried about it collecting a ton of dust!). So, we put the sand in a plastic container, then I bought a shadow box when we got home and created this: I really like how it turned out! Amy P.S. Not sure how the pic will show up, but if it's hard to see, we printed the verse that was read during the sand ceremony, then put pix of us pouring the sand, the sand, and a shell in it.
  22. I did the wedding ones, but we have to finish the reception ones! Our reception was on August 4th, and my MIL keeps bugging me about them! Apparently another neighbor never sent them, and the whole 'hood still talks about it to this day! I'm sending them, LADY!!!! Last night we made real progress because I'm making DH write all the ones to "his" people! I think he did about 20 or so. Of course, I gave him a template, and he combined the sentences and obviously doesn't know what a period is, but hey, THEY'RE DONE (like I should talk with a run-on sentence like this one!)!!! Also, people will realize it's his handwriting and not think it was the teacher in the family!!!! We had about 270 people at the reception, and I think we have about 60 left to do. I ordered them from Vistaprint. They have a picture collage on the front, and on the back it says "Thank you for sharing in our celebration" (or something like that)- so there isn't a ton of room to write anyway!!! Amy
  23. Great pictures, Susan! Looks like it was a lot of fun! Amy
  24. I used stinky starfish for my placecards at my AHR. When they were all together in the boxes, they stunk really bad. After they were put on the tables, nobody noticed (I know this because we commented about it a little, and people said they didn't notice at all). Amy
  25. It is very exciting, isn't it, Christine! My first appointment & ultrasound is also on the 29th! Amy
