  1. I really need to find out what my dress is made of. I am not very good with fabric. I am not sure what is what. Except silk, that is easy. Also I need to take a digital picture of my dress. I want you all to see it.
  2. I sent out my STD's in January just to let people know that our wedding is far away. This also gives them enough time to think about whether or not they want to come. I am sending my invitation sometime in April/May. I am not sure yet. As long as people know our website they should be okay. All the information is there.
  3. I started a scrap book as well. I thought I was the only freak doing that. It is always nice to hear that other people are doing the same things that you are. I set up a wedding account and try to stay on budget. I buy little things here and there, but I try not to go over board with everything. There are so many things that I want to buy, but I need to be careful and not spend too much money.
  4. We are staying a week longer than our guests, but we are going to the other side of the country. Our guests our welcome to stay as long as they want, but we are disappearing after the wedding. My FI and I want time alone.
  5. I remember seeing that dress in Martha Stewart and thinking it was beautiful! I love it. It is a very elegant looking dress.
  6. No tattoos here. I am super scared of needles. I would seriously pass out if I ever tried to get one.
  7. I worked out both days this weekend. I am super proud of myself. I am going to take Monday off and then head on back on Tuesday. I think working out makes me better too. I don't crave fast food.
  8. Nothing on Costa Rica? Man! My favorite country did not make the list. I think the best time to go is in December. When I am not going.
  9. Welcome. You will find tons of information to help you out.
  10. My FI and I are having a simple wedding as well. There is no way we could keep it at $5K. We are looking at about $10K. This is including attire, rings, invites, hotel, ceremony, pics, and reception. There are other little things that I did not mention. There is no way we could afford to pay for people. I am hoping for a small wedding. 25 people are less, but it does not look like we are going to have that. I think the most expensive thing was the dress. My fault though. I really wanted it.
  11. Welcome. This website is GREAT. The ladies know all that you ever needed to know about planning a DW. You really need to pick a place that you love. My FI and I chose Costa Rica b/c we love it there.
  12. I went last night. I ran so hard that my abs were starting to hurt. I think I really need to change my diet. No more pizza night.
  13. I am putting my engagement ring in the safe deposit box here in the states and just bringing the wedding bands to Costa Rica. I figured I am going to be doing a lot of outdoor activities and I would DIE if I lost it. I am pretty sure if you just out your valuables in the safe you should be fine.
  14. I have heard of this. I read an article in InStyle Weddings. Apparently it is really common among celebrities. I thought it was a little pricey, but at least you know your stuff will get there. I wanted to do it, but where I am getting married practically in the rainforest.
  15. All of you impress me with your work-outs. I am planning on going to the gym tonight. I really need to do a good hour of cardio and then some weights. I really need to loose at least 10lbs.
  16. I really like the idea of parasols. I have seen some pictures of weddings that included them and I think they look co cute. Even the bridesmaids had them. I am thinking of including them in my wedding theme.
  17. I really want a tropical theme. So I am going with a bright pink and tropical green. I am not really a big fan of green, but since my wedding is going to be in the rainy season I figured it would like nice.
  18. I chose a DW because my family is SUPER opinionated and controlling that it would end up being their wedding instead of mine. I wanted to get away from it all and just make it about "US!" I love my family, but I wanted zero stress. Also Costa Rica is SUPER cheap, so we are saving a grip of money. Our DW will be under $10k and that is with the honeymoon included.
  19. Okay....so I am going to be honest. I think if you do too much Tiffany it might look a little over kill. If you really want to do that theme I would try to be little reserved with the whole Tiffany theme. But that is just me. Do what ever makes you happy. It is your day. That is what I tell myself.
  20. Thanks ladies! I seriously could not figure out what those were. Now I know.
  21. Okay Ladies, I have a question. I keep reading about these "Koozies." What are they? I keep trying to read the threads, but I can't figure it out. Please tell me.
  22. Glenda and everyone on this forum is welcomed to my wedding. I think I am currently the only one that will be getting married in Costa Rica. Jules almost did. P.S. Please RSVP. I am a control freak!!!
  23. I am scared that a buffet will look tacky. One would think the buffet would be a better option due to picky eaters and those who want to eat more. I am leaning towards the buffet. We will see.
  24. I had really bad skin and I mean BAD! I went on Accutane and it was the best thing that ever happend to me. My skin was SUPER clear, but super dry. You can also go on BC. That cleaned up my skin real nice. Although I gained weight. I know Accutane has a bad rap, but it worked for me.
  25. Leigh, I would love your shoes, but I am a 6 1/2 sometimes 7. I think I remember seeing those shoes at Banana. Tammy, I am really scared to post my dress on the internet. What if my fiance sees it. I took pictures of it and I will try to load them tomorrow. None of you are scared that your future husband may see your dress?
