Oh yeah.. we put the transfers in our budget, but we may be cutting that out. We have a large group arriving at the same time, but Matt's afraid people will freak out if we pay for some and not others. We're also not paying for our bridesmaid dresses. I still don't understand how someone can do it for under 10K with 50+ people. I'm a really frugal person so I'll be curious to see my numbers when all is said and done.

My wedding is at Dreams this October. I originally thought our budget would be at 10k with 35-40 guests. We're now at 15k and we didn't spend allot on photography or flowers. The 15k does not include our travel or stay. Things tend to add up quickly when planning any wedding. It's a good idea to keep an excel spreadsheet or some form of tracking for any spending. It's helped me to not go over. I believe the 2008 rates for Dreams is $24/pp per event, but that's still a steal! The wedding coordinators at Dreams (or any Cabo vendors) seem to take a few days to a week to get back to you. Don't get frustrated. It's the norm and there's tons of info here including photos of the Resort.

Can anyone help me find Sea Glass in these colors? I think it's sea glass, but not positive. The best price I found is $7.00/lb.+ Shipping I believe 1 lb = 1 1/3 cup I need enough to cover bottoms of 12 vases. 6 of them will be 9 x 4 with white candle. The other 6 will be 6x6 square filled with water with white floating candles.

For some girls the STD and invites are important. I'm at the Invite stage right now. Figuring out paper needs for 50 invites, if I go through www.cardsandpocketsstore.com for materials, it will cost approx $180 + extra embellishments + postage. I'm sure I can find cheaper paper, but I'm figuring about $225 in materials then I print and put them together myself. I may or may not go this route. I paid approx $23 + 12$ in postage for my STD postcards. I had them done at VistaPrint. Quality wasn't the best, but friends and family thought they were cute. It was basically a way to get people to our website for more info. What I found is you can spend $30 and you can spend a zillion dollars.. it's all about what you care most about and your budget.

I just remembered why I didn't choose her.. spelling mistakes all over her website. I know that's silly, but it really put me off.

I don't recall her being cheap. We found Tomas Barron who came highly recommended by our coordinator Maye and the coordinator at Dreams, Mariana. He was very accomodating to us. I'll be meeting with him and taking some photos during our site visit in June and I believe there's a June bride that's using him.

The Jergens lotion that gradually tans you is suppose to work well for evening out tan lines too.. My matron of Honor was in another wedding a year or so ago and worked like a charm. Not sure about self tanners and being pregnant.

Side question.. are those the only two blue options that Dreams has? My color is more of an aqua and I don't think either work.. uh oh.. I'm partial to the lighter blue, but not sure how that will look with Red. I See what you mean about 4th of July with the darker blue.. Do they have red ties?

I also bought a sample dress from a bridal store in Northern CA. It has one loose sequin, but other than that, perfect! I knew it would fit because I tried the same dress on at a salon here.. I was soo close to paying $679, the cheapest I could find anywhere and ended up getting it for $225 including shipping.

Great review and I completely agree.. We had a group of six take a trip to Dreams (Cabo) in 2005. They were our transportation and things couldn't have gone smoother. It's great to have someone waiting with your name on a sign amongst all the sharks outside.

My stone was loose a month or so after receiving it. Everyone thought I was nuts but if I tapped on it I could hear it hitting the metal. My FI took it to the store where he purchased and the guy fixed it right there while he waited (less than 5 minutes). He said it would have taken alot for it to actually fall out, but I'm glad I wasn't just being crazy or paranoid. Perhaps there's another local jewelry store that does in-house work... I know it's too late for this time, but if any other issues come up, you may want to check into it.

Wow!! My gift card for $100 to Bed Bath and Beyond is looking really shady!!! I had no idea I was suppose to give that much! Good thing most of my friends are already married.

I like number 4 the best, but like your initials instead of names on top.. maybe try putting the "G" behind your names, it overpowers it a bit. I do like the block font you chose and the script font. Which did you use on #4?

I say if you love it (and your FI doesn't object) wear it! Think of all the money you'll be able to spend on something else.
