  1. I think the only colors the sash comes is in that rose and a green.
  2. Ok.. one more. #4. Casablanca very much like the first. I haven't tried this one on yet, but loved the romantic feel of the top front with the bottom being plain. The back has a little too much going on.. I think Casablancas can be customized easily so maybe they can take some of the stuff off.
  3. Here's the "real bride" photo of a girl in the Martina.. I would not want all my photos to be that sparkly...
  4. #3. Another Maggie Sottero. Martina is the name of the dress. Beautiful jewels with a full shirt. Chiffon so it's light. My only concern is the jewels reflecting too much light in photos.. I'll find an example of a "real bride" photo so you can see what I mean. (sorry about the back cleavage) lol
  5. #2 Maggie Sottero Let me tell you.. these dresses fit like a glove. I'm a size 12 and felt like a 6 in this dress. Very light, taffeta. sash color can be changed. I liked the old romantic feel of this dress. Didn't like that I could see the seams down the front because of the light fabric.
  6. I know you guys love photos, so I took alot when I went dress shopping on Saturday. I found a few that I love but have some concerns..I'll post my top 3. Please tell me what you think. #1 Beautiful Casablanca with gorgeous beading. I felt like a princess with this dress on. Isn't it too much for the beach? Matt is planning on wearing a tan suit and the guys in kahki pants/white shirts. My girlfriends all said it didn't matter what anyone else looks like. I have more photos if necessary.
  7. Back to the candles! j/k Sarah, which Target candles did you get? Were they target brand? I always thought the cheapo candles burned funny and smoked.. I think I may want to investigate further.
  8. Sarah, I'm interested to hear how your candle burning went. I think your tissue idea would work better than a label which will melt if/when it gets to that point. So you tape the tissue (1 ply?) to a piece of paper and print. That would be great if it only burns inside and then your image should glow like a luminary. Angela
  9. I've had a couple bridal salons tell me to find my dress before my bridesmaids, but I'm anxious to figure out the coloring for everything, invites, decor, etc. Did you find your dress first?

  11. I bought one.. $20 something at Barnes and Noble.. have barely used it.. Here's what I did do though that's a life saver.. there's so much info out there. I made a structure of folders on my desktop all inside "Cabo". Hair and Makeup, Outfits, Cake, Reception, etc. Anytime I see a picture I love, it goes in there.. helpful tips get copied to a Word doc and put in correct folder. I also created a large document in Quark that I have sent over to my coordinator. The entire thing is too large to send at one time, 20 something pages, but my girlfriends and family have enjoyed looked at my "idea book" to see how things are going.
  12. I know this sounds stupid, but what do I wear (undergarments) when dress shopping? I know they have those fancy bra things that suck all your stuff in, but I don't want to purchase until I know what my dress looks/fits like. Should I wear a strapless bra and nude panties?
  13. How light is the background color? Looks great, but wondering if your names will be legible when printed.

She might be able to e-mail you the current menus. Our scanner doesn't work to well or I'd scan them in for you. Ugh, Mariana said I could only pick one main dish for everyone... how crazy is that!? What do I pick? Some people don't eat shellfish or have allergies, like one of my bridesmaids, and some people don't eat red meat. I emailed her to confirm (again) that that's correct... waiting to hear back. She told me the same thing for my Welcome Dinner at Portofino. (different menu choices) I emailed her a copy of Rebecca's menu from her dinner to see what she comes back with. It's frustrating to hear differences between the brides.
  15. I'm a terrible snacker... I buy a large bag of walnut halves and dried cranberries. I use the little "snack" size baggies and make up a bunch of grab bags. I take one to work for my mid-morning craving and a piece of friut (small bannana or apple) for around 4:00.. that keeps me full between all meals. I saw on good morning america that walnuts have something in them that make you feel full. I used to be a big snacker at night. Not anymore.. about 2 hours before bed, we brew a cup of bedtime tea that has calming and soothing affects.
  16. Glenda, I had the same question about the isle runner.. I haven't gotten that far on planning, but saw somewhere, someone had colored sand (my ceremony is on the beach). I thought that would be cool, but heavy to transport. How would an isle runner on the sand work? wouldn't the fabric just get tangled under your feet, ala a beach towel?
  17. I was thinking of putting a picture of my grandma and grandpa (grandpa passed in '90) but they're my favorite people.. I'll probably use a different ribbon though.
  18. Wow.. this is a great idea http://www.myjeanm.com/engine.cfm?&P...8&iCatID=36678
  19. Ugh, still not working.. maybe because I'm on a Mac? When I right click I get three options open image in a new window save image to desktop copy image All of those result in the image being really small.. like it's only saving the preview of the image. I'll try on my PC.
  20. Hi Girls, I'm trying to steal, I mean BORROW, pictures that are being posted of centerpieces. If I right click and save to desktop, the image is tiny, any ideas?

Jilly, according to the sunset calendar the sun will set at 6:21pm on your wedding day. Does that mean you'll take pictures during your cocktail hour and then go back during dinner to get sunset shots? http://www.sunrisesunset.com/calendar.asp
