For BTB: Abbey (Dougsgirl) and for Mrs. I'm nominating two b/c I always break the rules: Christine & Ann. Christine works so hard to get together nice things for all those members that are going through a tough time. And the fact that Ann went into labor early and still posted the Biggest Loser weights is amazing. I salute you girls! And I want to do an honorary nomination for Tammy (host) who drove from her house all the way to the hospital to see Ann with Jackson. If that's not a true friend then I don't know what is. And if Maura hadn't just won I would nominate her again b/c she is awesome! LOL.

It will obviously be much easier for her to lose weight than me because she is more overweight. Just wondering since we didn't do BMI's or tell our heights how this works?? This is why we do percentages so its fair. For example someone like Erica (cessyboston) doesn't need to lose 50 pounds. So it wouldn't be fair. But someone like me does. LOL. So Ann calculates the percentage just like the do on the Biggest Loser so that it doesn't go by pounds lost it goes by the percentage of body fat you shed off your body. -

Hopefully all heals well and I will participate in the next one. Keep up the great work, everyone is going to look GREAT on their wedding day!!! Aww I am so sorry! I hope you heal quickly and feel better soon. I broke my foot once too, it was the worst so I feel your pain. I have exercises to do on a broken foot if you want. It made my other leg so strong and I got great arm workouts from the crutches. PM me if you want some exercises. -
Best sister ever!

That is amazing! I loved the book, I was crying. It is so sweet and yes you do have the best sister ever! -
Thank you ladies I have tried everywhere but its impossible to find. Okay I'm going to stalk all my fashion school friends. They have to know someone who can make me something in the garment district somewhere. I wonder who the edress me tailors are. LOL. Amy I didn't even see that one. It looks just like the other one but for some reason I think this material would be kind of see-through. Either that or it would clump weird on my body. Ahhh one day I am going to open up a bridal store that has everything you need on the go for the busy gal! Maybe if I do a quick trip to Vegas I can find something. They usually sell bridal gowns in their hotel stores. LOL.

Ok so I just read that Zac Posen made a limited edition of the dress in black and red for Target in Australia. Lucky Australia girls. There is a girl selling it on ebay but its red! I think this company that makes the knock off is my only shot. Darnit! Unless of course some girl bought the knock-off and is selling it.

Hi girls. Some of you may recall this dress that Katherine Heigel wore to the Emmy's. It's Zac Posen and its called the Ottoman Dress. Apparently he only made a limited amount of dresses so I can't buy it anywhere. There is this company that makes a similar version. However, they have to custom make it and I'm scared it won't be here on time for when I get married. I asked if they can do rush order and they can't. Can anyone help me find an imitation of this dress or something similar? I'm not picky.

Congrats! I am so excited for you! Maybe when I roll by the North Shore I'll wave and you'll see me! LOL. Good luck with everything.

Jessica I am so sorry. I'm glad your allright. I completely understand b/c I just had a huge accident on sunday. I totalled my FI's car and the other car. It was completely my fault. I can't even go through insurance b/c they would drop my FI (he has had too many accidents) so I have to pay the owner of the other car $3500 or he is threatening to sue me. FI's car is going to cost $2,100 but the place is cash only. I completely feel your pain.

So I just read on Perez Hilton that Sharon Osbourne is going to host the Charmed School for the Rock of Love girls that were rejected. Supposedly they will get etiquette training and compete to win $100,000. I cannot wait to watch this in all its train wreck glory. This is the posting from Perez Hilton: Mo'Nique is out! For those of you that remember, VH1 premiered Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School last year, which consisted of 13 rejects from Flavor Flav's Flavor of Love show, seasons 1 & 2. The girls competed in challenges to ultimately win the final grand prize, a check for $50,000. That's even better than having won Flavor of Love! Now, there's a new competition coming to your TVs. And by "new", we mean a remake of the first Charm School. This time, the show will be called Rock of Love Girls: Charm School, and as you figured, it will feature rejects from Bret Michael's Rock of Love reality show. This time around, though, they probably figured former Charm School host Mo'Nique just wasn't classy enough. They've opted for someone with a bit more "charm." So, set to star as the host of the new Charm School is none other than Sharon Osbourne. The Osbourne's are known for their foul mouths and bad behavior, yet, there's something about Sharon that's motherly and sage. Bitch has lived it! Sharon will be responsible for turning this "ladies" into fine, sophisticated, rock & roll leading ladies. Since when do rocker's wives need to be all proper? This season will consist of fourteen girls rejected by Michaels. However, this time the winning lady will get $100,000! Mmuch better than winning to be with Bret or Flavor Flav, combined. To win, the girls must "learn and grow in areas of etiquette, fashion, manners, and moderation." As for Sharon, she "will attempt to strip the girls of their former rebellious and wild ways. And with some help from experts, hopefully transform the girls into fully rockin’ ladies." We'll probably watch the first episode, but it better be good enough to make us want to watch the second. (It won't.)

For all the girls that are going to the pic thing, I wanted to tell you guys that this really helps. A few weeks ago I took out old pics of me that I liked and I plastered them on my fridge so that everytime I wanted to pig out I could see it and remind myself of what I could be. It really helped. I put up one pic of the way I would like to look in a BM dress, one of me in a bathing suit, in a dress, etc. I know that probably sounds super narcissistic but no one ever comes to my apt so its okay. LOL. -

I've been crazed: Shannon congratulations, I am so proud of you and you are a motivator and inspiration to us all! Ann obv congrats on Gwendolyn! And I can't believe you are back already. You really are super duper mod. There should be a mod of the year award that should go to Ann and Christine for all the hardwork they do around here. Thirdly, Yari that is a great attitude to have. I use to self-medicate with food too. Then when I finally lost some weight I felt so good about myself that no food I ever ate could take that feeling away. I noticed that I even felt some of my depressing mood go away. So we are all here to support you. It is super hard to get on track but once you do, it will all be worth it! -
Happy Birthday Paula! Hope you have an amazing birthday and yummy cake!

Wow I can't believe its been one whole year already! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I still feel like it was just yesterday that you were planning your wedding. My goodness time really does fly by quickly. -
Last night's episode drove me crazy. Not sure why but it did. At least now we understand (sort of) why Kate had Claire's baby. I can't believe Claire's mom woke up from that coma and told Jack that Claire was his sister. CRAZY!

Just a little side note: For those of you that may or may not know our wonderful host Ann is in the hospital in California. She was away on a business trip for work and she wasn't feeling right so she went to the hospital to get checked out. It turns out that she went into preterm labor and was admitted. Tammy (the host) is visiting her as we speak. So while we're exercising and eating healthy let's keep a prayer going for Ann & little Nugget so that everything will be okay. Let's send her those good BDW vibes we are good at sending!!! -

Hi girls! I wanted to randomly babble a few thoughts: 1. As corny as it sounds I think it really helps to continually post here. Its almost like it makes you accountable and you are more likely to want to work hard if you know that you will have to come back and tell us what your eating. LOl. Sounds stupid but its true. That's why a lot of people who lose a significant amount of weight on WW are the ones who attend meetings. 2. I used to be horrible at portion control. But here is what I learned to do. Buy yourself one of those WW Smart Ones or Lean Cuisine meals. After you are done eating it, wash the plastic container that your food came in and use this plate from now on. When you make you food, keep in mind that you should not be stuffing your face with more than that plateful. Yes it seems tiny, and yes at first it is really hard. But once you get used to it (after about the second full day) you will realize that you will start to feel satisfied with much less food in your stomach. 3. Drinks lots of water. I usually drink lots of water before I start eating. Then I drink water in between bites so that I fill up on water more and less on food. 4. I also get dizzy and even nauseas sometimes from working out. Here is some stuff you can do. Before working out eat some peanut butter. It will give you the sugar you need and it is a great source of energy. It usually stops you from feeling dizzy. For the girls who come home from the gym and want to eat everything in their path, STOP and first drink lots of water. Your body is exhausted and dehydrated. Once you have liquid inside you eat a spoonful of peanut butter. It will balance out your insulin levels and help you stop craving sugar. If you must have a soda drink a zero calorie sprite or coke. I promise you they taste pretty much the same thing as the real ones. They also have zero carbs which is great. 5. You will always lose a lot of weight in the first week. So don't feel like 7 or 8 pounds is not normal b/c everyone's body is different. Most of it is water weight. A lot of us lost a lot of weight the first week and then we staggered off to a 1.5-3 pound weight per week. 6. For the girls who are plateauing like me. I got an exercise program from a friend of mine (who was dating a trainer). This is a cardio program for anyone that wants to try it. You have to do cardio 6 days a week and rest one day a week. The first day you do the pre-core/elliptical/arc trainer (any of those is fine). You will do 45 minutes. You do 2 minutes going as fast as you can (at whatever speed that maybe) and then 1 minute at a regular pace but at a high intensity (meaning that its hard for you to move forward). You keep alternating for those 45 minutes (2 minutes super fast, then 1 minute at a difficult intensity and then back to 2 minutes of super fast again). The second day you do the treadmill. You should do a light job for 30 minutes. Then the third day you go back to the elliptical machine doing the same thing I mentioned before. You keep doing this so your body is constantly in shock and so that you don't injure your knees running too much on the treadmill. Once you get more advanced you can do 2 minutes of your fastest speed on the treadmill and then 1 minute at a regular speed. I started yesterday and I burned almost twice the calories that I was burning before. I warn you though, this is super tough and challenging. The trainer warned her not to do it if your just starting so I would only reccomend this if you are physically active or if you have at least got a couple of weeks under your belt. Also, instead of doing weights with rests in between you can do supersets back to back so that you are fatiguing your muscles more and it becomes almost like a cardio workout. Hope this helps! -
OMG this is going to be interesting. I have a loud Spanish family and if I brought my boyfriend to a family wedding while I was still married my parents would kill me. So I know exactly what kind of fireworks are going to erupt here. I don't envy FSIL, that's for sure! Wow, is it wrong of me if I can't wait to hear what happens? LOL. This is like a good Spanish telenovela except with Italian actors. Hehe.
