  1. I'm using the plain ol Playtex bottles with the drop in liners. My friend uses these and absolutley loves them. https://www.toysrus.com/product/inde...uct_skn=160914 https://www.toysrus.com/product/inde...#prod_prodinfo This is the pump I am going to get. https://www.toysrus.com/product/inde...uct_skn=267010
  2. I don't think the moms are suppose to plan showers. Maybe you can tell her that?? I do think that's it's weird that she was defensive when you brought it up. Is it too much work for her and her sister? Maybe you can recruit a friend or something to help them that might offer their house. Then you can put it off on your friend that she really wanted to have it at her house... Not sure if that would work. Just an idea.
  3. Have you talked to your FSIL to tell her your concerns and that 1 of the 3 things you specifically said you did not want, is happening. I agree that FMIL should stay out of it.
  4. I LOVE Jon and Kate Plus 8!! I watch it in hopes I will pick up on some of their great ideas. They crack me up!!
  5. o.k., I'm going to participate here even though I'm not working out to lose weight or anything. I really just need to stay in the gym for the rest of my pregnancy. BUT - you girls can't laugh at my workouts. I walked 32 minutes/2 miles last night on a 2% incline last night

How cool that you are having two showers! I opted out this time since it's #2. I keep telling him to expect me to be up to 5 weeks early. I think he'll come around in a week or two and realize that I always know what I'm talking about Oh you can bet that I will take pics as soon as there is something to look at!!
  7. I feel like I am in total nesting mode too, but James is fighting it. He keeps telling me I'm doing things too soon, but I don't think I am. The room has been painted for over a month. We've put the 4 drawer chest in the room, and James put the bed together last night. We still have to put together the changing table. I'm going to put the mattress in tonight We have all the bedding, but I think I might wait another few weeks to put it on the bed. My showers are Sept 13th & 21st. I'm so excited!! I keep stalking my registry for no reason at all, because no one has got an invite yet..lol.
  8. Yuck yuck and yuck. I would be itching and feeling dirty too. That stinks. Doesn't look like a relaxing night for you.

  10. I actually think I might be having them too. My stomach tightens up and gets really hard for a few seconds, then goes away. No pain with it. It happened last night and I told James to feel of it and he was like....is it suppose to be that hard?? Hummm....
  11. Wow - I haven't seen this thread in awhile. All I can say is I'm fat and pregnant and will definitely be back here after the baby!!! Keep up the good work girlies!!
  12. I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I think my coverage is as basic as they come. I have a $1500 deductible. After that, I am responsible for 10% of everything else. Good thing is the $1500 adds up quick. It includes co-pays, medications, etc. So I've almost met it for the year. So I guess I'm looking at 10% for the hospital stay and circumsizing my boy I've been paying $130 per month to my doc for his services at the hospital. That also goes towards my deductible. So once I make that final payment to him, I will only owe the hospital. If that makes sense...
  13. My doctors office just called and my results came back good. She said I past all 3 hours of the test - yah!!!!!
  14. Woo Hoo Lizz. That was what I was most excited to get out of. I mean there's risk the entire time, but the 1st trimester is the scariest.
  15. o.k., I had another stupid question, but you would be so proud - - I looked it up myself. So you have to finish the 27th week, then week 28 is the 3rd trimester. Am I reading that right?
  16. I wouldn't feel bad about asking them to pay the day pass fee. You picked the hotel where "your" wedding is taking place. If they choose to not stay at the place where the wedding will be, then they will need to pay for a day pass. It's just like having your wedding/reception local and you tell them the reception is at one resturant and they go to another. They would have to pay for their own dinner. You're not going to say, oh it's ok that you don't want to go to the resturant everyone else is going too.....please let me pay for your dinner to where ever you choose. I just think that you told them where it's going to be. If they stayed at the hotel you choose, they would not have to pay. That is something they will have to take into consideration when booking their trip.
  17. Thanks, Julie. I hope I do not have a huge baby!! Karma - that's great news. I bet it felt good to go ahead and take the test for your peace of mind. I just called the doctors office to ask for results, but the nurse was busy and I had to leave a message. She called at 2pm last time with bad news, so I'm hoping since she hasn't called - I may be in the clear. Fingers crossed! What week is officially the 3rd trimester?
  18. Oh and my DH collected baseball & basketball cards. He has a crap load of them in our atick (sp?). He also use to collect anything Mickey Mouse. We have a scary amount of MM stuff that he refuses to get rid of. So that is also taking up alot of space. I'm sure it's all worth a ton of $$ since everything is still in the original boxes.
  19. I can't believe I missed this yesterday. I hope you did something fun!! Happy late b-day!!
  20. I collect crosses. Everytime we go on vacation, I have to get a cross from the trip. I have tons of them. My nephews use to call me the cross lady..lol.

That is not too bad at all if they let you leave. Glad to hear it went well. My fingers are crossed for good results. But, a few of my friends had GD and its not a big deal really, you just have to be careful what you eat and check your sugar everyday. 1 of them did not have a c-section either because she knew she had it so she was controlling it and the baby did not get to big. So if you do have it, I would not worry about it too much, its very very common and goes away after birth. They did let me leave. She just reminded me everytime that I could not eat or drink anything during that hour. o.k., so if I do have GD, I would have a chance of having a larger baby - just like if I had real diabetes? And a chance for a CS? I did not know that... Karma - Did you get your results yesterday? And OMG Julie - you are almost there!!! How are you feeling??
  22. OMG Mo. You are having such a horrible time with this 1st trimester. Good luck shopping. I'm sure it will be good for you to get out of the house. I just got back from my 3 hour. It wasn't so bad. Luckily my mom lives 4 miles from the docs office - so I went there and layed down between my blood tests. Worked perfect. I'll know tomorrow how the test went.
  23. Thanks Amy! I knew you went though it too. Hopefully the tests will come back ok tomorrow. Fingers crossed!! Karma - That suck about the BH. Hopefully they will go away soon. I hope your test comes back ok.
