  1. Everything looks beautiful!!! I can't wait to hear all about it...you know all the dreams brides are just dying for your review!! Looks like you had a great time!
  2. Congrats Leigh Hope everything was perfect!! Can't wait to talk to you when you get back!
  3. I spent ~300 with postage for 100 invites (we only sent 80 of the 100). I got them from Invitations by Dawn - Unique Theme Wedding Invitations and Accessories They are these: Invitations By Dawn I have had soo many compliments on them and I love them too!
  4. I love it! I am doing a starfish theme so I am goign to have to order this because it is soo cute!
  5. Hi! I too have suffered from migraines my entire life. The BEST prescription medicine is Relpax. It works miracles!!!!! I've tried sooo many scripts and this is the only one that I've found that works without any side effects. It even works during a severe migraine, which most meds will not touch! Also, a great home remeady is peppermint oil. Rub a dab on your temples and leave a little on a cloth or something that you can sniff. It really works to releave some of the pain of a bad migraine and it will get rid of a smaller lesser headache. You can find it at any natural food/supply store. Make sure you get pure peppermint oil and be careful when you apply it! It will sting like crazy if you get it in/near your eyes!!! I hope you feel better soon, as a fellow migraine sufferer, I feel your pain

  7. My Bff and MOH is a photographer (we are in Jersey / Philly area) and I think she is going to do mine for me (as soon as I drop 10lbs). She is an amazing photographer with a degree in photography. Though she hasn't done pro BD pics, she really knows her stuff! If some of you Philly/Jersey/Del girls are interested I can see if she would be willing to do some sessions and get prices for you all! Let me know ladies.....
  8. Love the pics!!! I am also using Orange and Chocolate (like Rosean) so I am glad to see that the orange bows look AMAZING!!!!! Quick Question - For the starfish on your cake...did you bring them or did Dreams provide them? I am also doing a starfish theme and I didn't know if I needed to supply the cake decorations. Thanks for sharing!! I am also using Claudia from that same photography group so I can't wait to see your pro pictures!

  10. Hi Ladies...Great review kimiko! I was surprised to read that some of you have not put a deposit down. Claudia told us that if we put 50% down it would lock us into 2007 prices, since we are getting married in 2008. i was under the impression we had to put a deposit down....maybe it's just to lock into the current pricing....hmmm
  11. Hi Ladies! I am trying to get together my OOT bags and I need a little help! I purchased a few Johnson and Johnson travel first aid kits at the Dollar Tree but I need more!! It seems that all the local stores are our of them and I am short about 40!! If your local dollar tree has any kits (I only want J&J ones...I know they hav assurance as well), can you post here so I can work out a deal with you!! I will pay for shipping and gas and all of that if you find them. Thanks Ladies!!
  12. I paid $1200 for mine and it was originally $1700. the only alteration I will need is some padding (gotta fake the boobs), so it shouldn't be more than $100. I had promised myself that I wouldn't spend over a $1000 but I tried all the David's bridal ones and a few other less expensive brands and I just didn't fall in love. My bridal consultant brought in my dress to show me the color on the sash and I had to try it on! Don't worry about the "knowing it's the one". I thought something was wrong with me too because I sat with my MOH and mom for a good 40 minutes going between two dresses. My dress didn't make me burst into tears or scream or anything like that so i doubted it for a bit. But I went back to try it on again with all my BMs and I just loved it!! I didn't want to take it off! Oh and the back of the dress is extremely important!! That is what everyone is staring at the whole time...you at the alter, you walking away, your first dance, etc. Its one of the reasons I love my dress so much Here it is to prove it...the back is more ornate than the front:
  13. I LOVE the dress!! Watters dresses are soo sexy and fun. you look great!!
  14. The seller for the necklaces was jewmarket and their store is workmanship shop. I just looked it up and the starfish necklace is still available for $0.99. As far as quality goes...they are fine. They don't look like a 99 cent necklace at all but they also don't look like $100 either. I asked a friend how much she thought I spent and she guessed ~20, which is what I was going for. I wanted something cute that will look really nice in pictures and if the girls never wear it again I didn't care. I am getting them a bunch of stuff, so these worked out fine. They will give you a discount on shipping for multiple necklaces, just ask!!
  15. I am a little stuck on this too. For the girls I have starfish necklaces (which...for all you girls looking to get them, I found them on ebay for $0.99 each!!) and cute beach totes from target. I am going to pay for mani/pedi once we get to dreams too. I want to get some small things to fill the beach bags with, but I am stuck on what to get. For the guys...my fi is taking care of that but right now it looks like personalized zippos and cigar holders. We will buy some cigars when we get to cancun to fill them. Oh and we bought their shirts for the wedding.

My wedding is not until Feb 08, but I am a little concerned I don't have many of the details in a quote. I only saw the initial quote, we have sent several emails back and forth, so I need to get it all into an email for her to compile again. Jilly, I think I am going for the long dinner table on the terrace. There is a dance area nearby. Cocktails probably on the grass and looking at some modern furniture for that area as well. cancunbride2be, did you get my firedancer quote? It was right before the site had some issues, so I am not sure if you got my PM. It's approx $1500 USD for 45 minutes. Paula...Yes, I got it...Thanks!! It's way to much for us though but would have been a fun addition
  17. Hi! I'm another Dreams Bride..so our date is Jan 25th '08 and so far prices have been ~$900-1000 per person for 3 nights and flight. That price is without any specials from my TA, since we are still waiting for them to come out for January (which hopefully will be soon!!!). Hopefully the price will drop a little more. End of Jan./ Feb. is a great time to go to Cancun!! I've been twice at that time of the year and the weather is always perfect....not too hot and MUCH better than Jersey at that time!
  18. Thanks Paula! Could you PM me the fire dancer price quote. Funny...my fi is interested in that as well. Are they really that expensive? Jill - I am bringing shells to scatter on the table as well as some votives. Were did you get the shells from? I actually found little votives in shells at Wedding Favors, Wedding Party Favor, Bridal Shower Favors. My mom and I are thinking of making our own "runners" and just bringing them down because linens were ~$10 per table from dreams.

  20. My new fav. Punk love song is "Smother me" by The Used (on Lies for the Liars, there new album). Its slow but still sorta punk in the lyrics, which would make it a lot easier to slow dance to. I also love "I caught fire" by the Used (which was mentioned before). How about "I like your mom" by Bouncing Souls. Not a romantic song exactly, but might be fun since you already have a little cutie!
  21. Hello - I have eaten there for a group party a couple of years ago. We traveled with a company that had a large group (100 people) and they had a welcome dinner there. The food was good, as far as I can remember and we had a great time. There is live entertainment and a open bar, so by the time the dj came on, later in the night, we were all up and dancing. I am actually looking into it for our rehersal dinner as well. They ran ~$60 a head with open bar, according to the company's owner (it is my fiance's company and we got the pricing info from his boss). Remember that was almost 3 years ago, so i am sure it's gone up. If I get any more info, or if you do, we can post to this thread!

  23. Man - I wish the dollar stores around here were as good as yours!! I love the bags...they are soo cute. Since we have sooo many guests (~80) I am just doing a gift bag sort of thing that are in the shape of flip flops. Now I wish i could do a beach bag like that one.... I swear I am going to drive myself insane!

Make your seating arrangments and placecards before you leave. Then just arrange the table #s at the reception. i.e. put your #1 wherever you'd like all the people with #1 placecards to sit, etc. On another note...don't you think we should get free accommodations or something since we are bringing so many people to the resort?!?!? I do think we should get a free room! Its the least they could do for us doing all their work!! Thanks for the table numbering advise. I had no idea they were 8 tops. I guess I was making that one harder than neccessary Jilly - I choose the surf and turf too, along with the rum butter chicken. I hope they are good! I know the "surf" is shrimp, but who knows how it will taste. The Fi did have a steak on our scouting trip and he liked it..so we will hope for the best. Honestly, chicken is chicken is chicken, so I'm not too worried about that!
