  1. We are giving them smaller parent wedding albums with a nice frame. They seemed very excited about that.
  2. Hi Ladies, Steve and I are back and married!!! I am working on my review and waiting for mypro pics to share (hopefully I will have them this week). I just wanted to quickly post that all of you Dreams Cancun brides to be can just stop worrying. It will be GORGEOUS and Claudia was great once we got there. Everything was better than I ever expected and I feel now that I spent WAY too much time worrying when I had no reason to! Pictures and review coming soon.....
  3. We used "sugar, Sugar" by the Archies. it was fun and easy becasue we really didn't care either way.

I thought about that....but since these are my favors/place cards, I didn't want to "ruin the surprise" by putting the in the OOT bags as well. So to answer your question...yes I would like to get $3.00 but I will accept offers and no, you dont have to take all of them. Whatever you may need is fine with me. PM me if you are interested!
  5. I have been to the chapel at Xcaret and its soo pretty! I wanted to look into getting married there as well but I could not get through to the wedding coordinators there and my Fi wanted to stay in downtown cancun area. But it is absolutely beautiful! Anyway, my photographer Claudia Rodriguez has pics and when we met with her she said it was one of her fav. places for weddings becasue its so pretty adn great for pics. There are a few pics of a wedding there, but not a lot. The website is: Claudia Rodriguez, Photographer, Cancun & Riviera Maya go under "my Team" then to citalli Rico's gallery. The pics are under there of "Michelle & Jeff". Hope it helps!

I am getting married there on the 25th and we did hire the dj for the reception. We have 50 people and I didn't want to deal with running the whole Ipod thing. Was it because you had a smaller party?
  7. Hi Ladies, Well I am one week away from leaving for cancun to get married (woohoo) and I am trying to post some extras I have "found" now that I am packing everything up. So...I have 30 extra airplane luggage tags, in the box with bow and thank you tag, like this: Airplane Luggage Tags - From $2.99* I dont know what I was thinking when I ordered this many...I think I thought that we were giving one per person but we aren't... I paid $3.00 each. Please post or PM me if interested with your best offer and we can work something out (plus shipping but that we can figure out later). Thanks ladies!
  8. I do have extra OOT bags!! http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/DSC01303.jpg They are from the dollar store and they are in the blue pictured, or purple or pink. They are really cute and I have ~10 extra! Oh..they are $1 each plus whatever the shipping would cost to you. If you are interested, please PM me and I can get you a picture. I actually had a bunch extra and sold some to lauren c. on here and she loved them too. I also have some a bunch of J&J first aid kits ($0.99), and 8 Sea&Ski After Sun Care lotion ($0.50) if you are interested.

One word of advice, we were on the terrace and I had them set up a table for the guest book and thats where the pashminas were too. Everyone grabbed the pashminas as they were coming in, but it was so windy that everything on the table was flying off! So, it ended up looking really messy because we had to pile things on top of each other so they wouldn't blow away. Had I known, I would have asked her to setup the cake table and the guest book table just inside the building, because they have those doors open during the reception anyway and we were using that area too. It would have kept them looking nicer and given us more room to dance. They said they would move them for dancing but never did. Thanks Jilly.....good to know! I am definitely going to pick up a basket to give to Claudia when I get down there now, to make sure that they get placed in one. I am actually only having cocktail hour on the terrace and our reception is in the spa garden area. I am hoping that area will be more sheltered from the wind then the terrace is, so I wont have to worry about the guestbook blowing all over the place. I think I might just set the basket up at the ceremony for the ladies to grab. Our ceremony is at 4 and it will start getting dark during cocktail hour, which means it gets chilly! Do you think it will look cheese to have a basket of pashs at the last row of chairs?? Maybe I should just wait till cocktail hour. Man these little things are starting to drive me nuts!!! Did all of your guests take the wraps? I dont want to get stuck with any!!
  10. Hi ladies...I have pashimas for all the ladies attending the wedding and I am not sure where or how to display them for my guests. I dont want to pick colors for people, so I dont want to put it in the OOT. I can put them out at the ceremony, cocktail hour, or the reception and I can't decide what's best!! For all you ladies that gave out pashimas at your wedding, where/when did you put them for your guests to get them?? Also, did the resort provide a basket or something to put them in??
  11. I actually got them at the Dollar Store (Dollar Tree), but I dont think they have them in stock anymore... If you have the time I would suggest waiting to check out what the Dollar Tree has in the summer because they had a few differnt cute bags.
  12. Wow...you are inviting alot of people compared to us! We are only having our Best man/ Maid of Honor. We didn't want to invite people and make it a big thing because we want the actual wedding to be when people think of us as "officially" married.
  13. Hello! This question is for all you ladies that got the legal stuff done at home before/after the DW. What is the ceremony like? Do you need to say "I dos" and all that. The Fi and I are getting legally hitched here in Jersey at the courthouse, before the DW and we are hoping to not have all the I do stuff. Only because we want to save that for the DW ceremony and have it be special. Obviously we dont have a choice but I was hoping you could all let me know what to expect when we go (in two weeks!!) Thanks!
  14. Here is what we are using...before the ceremony starts, the mothers go up and pour sand in, one at a time. Then later the minister says: "Kristin and Stephen, you have just sealed your relationship by the giving and receiving of rings and this covenant is a relationship pledge between two people who agree that they will commit themselves to one another throughout their lives. The most beautiful example of this partnership is the marriage relationship. Earlier, the two mothers poured individual colors of sand into the center container. This symbolizes that the marriage is based on the strength of the individuals and their families. Now, I will layer neutral sand, which symbolizes that the marriage is grounded. Today, this marriage relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand. One, representing you, Kristin, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other representing you, Stephen, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be. As these two containers of sand are poured into the center container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated, our prayer for you today is that your lives together would be longer than the time it would take to separate the individual grains of sand." You can change whatever you want...
  15. I looked into Moon Palace when I was searching for a resort to have our wedding (we ended up picking Dreams Cancun). Just an FYI...I know a lot of girls posted some great photographers for you to look at but Moon Palace does not allow outside photographers. I do have another bride's snapfish photos from her moon palace photographer, which I think I can share with you....I guess she wouldn't mind, right? I dont know her or anything, she was someone I found on tripadvisor that posted a review that I requested photos from. PM me your email and I will send you a link.
  16. I wore a strapless bra and boy shorts each time I went. Actually GAP (& I think Vickies does too) sells this "smooth" boyshort that doesnt show any panty lines at all. They were great for the silk slip dress type of gowns I tried on. That way I didn't have to have my booty hang out all over the place and I wasnt distracted by panty lines all over the place. Every place I went had the slip for me, if the dress needed it.
  17. Hi guys, I have 50 of these flip flop bags for sale. For a pic click this link: Flip Flop Gift Bags They are small gift bags, which is why I decided not to use them (I bought too much stuff for the OOT bags!). But they would be really cute for those of you doing small OOT bags or just a small gift for your guests/bridal party. I am asking $30 and shipping. PM me if you are interested! Thanks!
  18. Sorry...I tried to link a picture posted by someone else on another thread. I can't seem to upload any pics right now...I just get the busy sign forever and I can't cut and paste...can anyone help?? The bag is pictured on the "show us your OOt bags" thread. It is the one from the dollar store that is straw with a flower on a small pocket in the front. It is on the second page of the thread. Sorry I cant make this easier!!!
  19. Hi Ladies, Well the wedding is coming fast (9 weeks left) and I getting myself organized!! So I got these in the summer before I had any idea how many guests I would have and I over estimated....better to have too many than not enough!! I got them for $1 and there are 20 up for grab. Let me know if you are interested and give me your best offer! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...tml#post129395 Ok its these same ones, but I couldn't get my own pic to upload...I give up

Hi Susan, Were you able to get your review onto a thread for all to read. I can't access it either and I am DYING to know how everything went....especially with the dj because we are using the same people!! Could you possibly PM your review or at least post a short review of the dj?? Thanks soo much! I am starting to really worry about the quality of the dj and if they really fullfill the "mc" part of the job (we want our bridal party and us to be anounced, along with the first dance/parent dances)
  21. Well we did ____ We'll see you on the beach! ____ Filled with joy, but booked somewhere else. We though tit was perectly clear but apparently some of our guest felt that filled with joy, but booked somewhere else was confusing. A cousin (which was over a month late in replying) told my mom she thought that our wording meant that if they weren't going that they didnt have to send a response back. I thought that it was a bit crazy to think we wouldn't want our "nos" to respond at all...but maybe I'm just too close. Whatever...I thought it was cute
  22. I want to do menus too but I can't seem to find a cheap way to do it. Anyone have a good online paper store that sells nice cardstock at a reasonable price? I am a picky eater with a lot of allergies...so a menu is very much appreciated at these sort of things!!

We found out the day of that Erick was sick, so they sent Alberto and we think they are going to be Wonderful. He had two assistants and we had a blast taking pictures!! Due to the weather they moved my reception to the ballroom, which worked out great. Everyone was a little relieved to get out of the wind!!! And as for Secrets Capri in Playa...AWESOME!!! Okay, back to house work...hehe I checked out your pics and everything looked so great! You are absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to hear your review of the day! One question...where did you have the rehearsal dinner? I've been struggling with finding a place for ours and it looked like you guys really had a great time wherever you were! Also...if you dont mind be asking...how many people did you have there and how much was it per head? Thanks so much!!!
  24. Welcome Back!! So sorry about your luggage..hopefully you will get everything back soon!
