  1. I was dreading it at first too, but then once I started going I couldn't stop, I went to 3 different stores twice each! I ordered a dress of of ebay, but ended up going back to the first store and buying another dress. Davids was good because they do have a ton of options in different sizes. I am a street size 18, so when I went I grabbed dresses that were a couple sizes smaller and a couple sizes bigger, assuming that they didn't have it in my actual size, because they can order them for you. the smaller shops had less selection in larger sizes, but they you can still try the dress on, especially if it has a corset back, you can get a good idea of what it will look like. It's a lot of fun, I actually wish I could still go try on dresses just for fun! here's mine
  2. what about searching online for a bassett hound puppy rescue, sometimes they have puppies too.

So I'm sort of overwhelmed with tracking! However I think for me I want to track on both for a day or two to try and figure out how many calories (not just points) I am actually eating. I think it would be very interesting... Thats exactly what happens on the weekend, I go out of control, but really if I didn't go totally crazy and used my extra points, I don't think I'd do too bad. And usually what happens is once I eat one bad thing, it just snowballs because I say "Oh well, I already messed up might as well continue". But really, I could definetly get myself to have a low point breakfast and a light lunch and still have plenty of regular points and my extra points to have some weekend treats. I do like how self tells you the calories, but it is a lot of tracking to count points and track on self, but I'm trying to still do both. I've never done this, it does sort of feel like cheating, but they do list it.

  5. MOO MOO! WW conspiracy theories, I love it!
  6. I would love to do this, but I don't even like to look at the number on the scale myself, never mind share it with millions of people, lol!
  7. okay girls, I'll let you know how it is! I found the whole set on ebay for prices between 25-39 dollars, so when I get paid I'm buying it! can't wait!
  8. I think I'm going to make some this weekend too.

In the back of my mind I swear my little points calculator disappears on the weekends and suddenly reappears first thing monday morning, its awful!! Quote: Originally Posted by gkashmira Thanks! (this is what my brain in thinking at least). Finding a way to do this without blowing all my hard work makes me feel good and also not deprived. You know, I never use my 35 bank points or my exercise points (or should I say, I never actually write them down and count them!!) But maybe if I actually did save them and use them on the weekends, it would help me to stay on track better. I'm going to try that this week. I also joined the self challenge yesterday, today was my first day doing it. They give you lists and how many of each item to eat, I tried it today instead of counting points, just to see how I would do. I did well and I just counted up how many points I actually ate for the day and I still have 7 left for the day, so I can have a little snack later. I like that I can log my info on selfs website, since I don't have a WW membership and I'm also following there exercise plan. Now I've just got to keep myself on track when the weekend comes!
  10. I really would love it if my DH would do WW with me, but I can't even get him to eat a vegetable, never mind diet! He could definetly lose a few pounds, but it's more about being healthy. And how great is it when he wants pizza and I have to eat vegetables and rice, boo!
  11. thats awful!! I would have told them to shove the $10 up there butt!

I ask this because the last book I read was probably 10 years ago, (yes, I'm serious) my reading lately consists of websites and magazines!
  14. yeah, he's a little bit intense, lol!! But that can also be a good thing! I have a few turbo jam videos, a cindy crawford workout video, my sister is bringing me her winsor pilates videos, so I'm just looking for one or two more different workouts. I get bored really easily, so I need to be able to mix it up. Glad to hear this is a good workout. I think I'm going to buy the set.

  16. has anyone tried it? Like it, not like it? I'm thinking of buying it. I have the original set of tae bo videos, but I don't have a vcr anymore so I never use them. I thought this one might be fun to try and it comes with some new bar thing. any feedback before I buy it?
  17. I just joined, starting in the morning!! I've subscribed to self for several years now, but I never get to read my magazines right when they come in, so I always have missed the challenge! I'm finally signed up in time, this time!
  18. Seriously I WISH I looked as good as you do! Your FI is going to love them, you look great!
  19. I've never been part of a book club, but I used to LOVE to read when I was younger. Now it seems like I either don't have time or don't know how to pick a good book. I'd like to try to be a part of this and get into reading more, but I don't know if I have a book suggestion yet, is that okay? I really haven't been in a bookstore in a long time, lol!! I have no idea what books are good right now!
  20. It may just take his body a little bit of time to really adjust and then I bet he'll start dropping pounds. Men usually lose really quickly. He also might want to talk to his leader, is it possible that he may not be counting the points correctly? For example, Progresso makes zero points soup. So if you eat a serving size, which is half a can it's zero points, but if you eat the whole can, I think its 1 or 2 points. So, if he is eating more than one serving size at a time, but only calculating based on one serving, he could be consuming more points than he should be. does that make sense? No real words of encouragement. It sucks to be dieting and have your SO be able to eat whatever they want, my DH always wants to eat bad stuff to and sometimes I'm okay, but other times I end up breaking down. I guess the only words of advice I could give would be to try to suggest healthy foods for the two of you, so he doesn't feel left out.

I did the same thing, for the longest time I couldn't figure out that you needed points to open attachments, it really confused me! But when I first joined I was the only dreams cancun bride, so there weren't very many attachments for me to open, lol! 24. Wow Jen! I can't believe you're so close to your wedding, time flies! I just noticed you're getting married the day before my b-day! I'll have to have a drink to toast your wedding!
  25. Congratulations! Your pictures are beautiful, your photographer did a great job! And you look stunning, I love how everything came together!
