  1. Good idea! Another site I now have bookmarked for future use! Yikes!
  2. Mishi, I'm stuck on this as well. Right now we have 10 people booked (including us) and we're pretty sure we'll have about 10 more, give or take a few. I think its going to be weird for us to have dancing with so few people. We're thinking we'll just setup our IPOD instead of getting a DJ but I'm still not sure how to handle this. If we have 20-25 ppl, then it doesn't seem as bad, as it will if we only have 15 people. I know sounds silly.

I have an A-line dress, so other than my top half, know one will really be able to tell whats going on under the skirt. But I may try them with my dress anyway, just to see if they help.
  4. We're getting married in cancun, we'll be there for 5 nights and then we're moving to El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya, for another 5 nights (I'm hoping if we have the money before we go I can extend our honeymoon to 7 nights) but we'll see! We thought about waiting to do our honeymoon for our one year anniversary so that we could go somewhere like tahiti, fiji, or Europe, but we have an 8 year old thats just dying to go to disney, so we know that will end up being our next trip and we'll never get a honeymoon if we don't do it now!
  5. We're paying our travel expenses and everything related to the wedding & reception. We aren't paying anything for our guests, we can barely afford the rest of it, lol! I would have loved to have done a villa and paid for our guests to stay there, but all the ones I looked at were sooooo expensive, we wouldn't have been able to afford it. So, whoever can afford to go, will go.
  6. I know I already posted here today, but I'm so damn sore right now, cindy really works every damn muscle in your body, I don't know if I'm going to be able to crawl out of bed tomorrow!!
  7. Jess, it looks beautiful! and as you said a few less votives will look better. You just made me realize that I really don't know what I'm going to do with my tables!
  8. I'm hoping that the corset on my big dress will do all the sucking in I need, hahaha!
  9. I love it, its gorgeous! But I have to agree with the other girls I don't think I'm going to want to take my dress off! Unless, you're having an AHR and are going to wear your dress again, then I'd change. But the outfit your mom bought seems like it will be really cool in the hot weather!
  10. I worked out to cindy this morning, oh my gosh I forgot how many damn lunges are in that program. I'm so sore right now and usually I'm not sore until the next day, so something tells me I'm going to be on hurtin' unit tomorrow.
  11. OMG Jess, thats insane!!! I'm hoping I can get away with no alterations, but I might be tripping over my dress, hahahaha!
  12. Tasha your pics look awesome, you look gorgeous, and it looks like you had a fabulous day! Congratulations, can't wait to hear all about it!
  13. Thats such a sweet story, Susan! It sounds like Matt fits in perfectly with your family!

I know it is more $ when you're talking 2 WBs, but it's something to think about! Thanks Susan, I was actually considering doing this! I love the look of one on top and one on the bottom! I looked at some and the prices actually weren't that bad, so it wouldn't be ridiculous to buy two. Of course, when I told steve I wanted two wedding bands, I thought he was going to fall out of his chair!!
  15. Ok, I like the bottom middle & the bottom left pictures. I think with your hair being so long you should definetly wear it partially up so people can see the back of your dress. A flower would be very pretty, I really like the first one you posted, but I like the orchid too. what kind of flowers will be in your bouquet, I think it might look nice if they were similar.
  16. Maybe I'll try them, I figure they can't be that bad that they won't last for the ceremony and a little bit afterwards.
  17. not to hijack this thread, but Kate I have a question for you. Your FI got the heritage linen suit from banana republic, right? How is the color of it? I really wanted tan, but I'm having trouble finding something FI likes. Also, do you think the material has any sort of sheen to it? I ordered the suit from jcrew and FI didn't like it because it seemed shiny. So before I go and order another one, I want to make sure he's not going to hate it! Any advice would be appreicated!
  18. I have a question too, did anyone buy the paint your own parasols from oriental trading. I am thinking about buying them, there not too expensive (I'm sure no one will ever use them again anyway) and I could make some kind of stencil or something and paint something on them pertaining to the wedding. This is what I'm talking about: Welcome to Oriental Trading Company
  19. Amy, we went to a wedding in Philly last year, and all of the grooms family and friends were travelling to the wedding because we live on the east coast, so there was a lot of us at the hotel. For OOTs they just did a box, and inside was the weekend itinerary, a bottle of water, a soda, and a couple of snacks, nothing major, but it was great to get when you weren't expecting anything. Especially when we woke up hungover in the morning. So, I guess what I'm saying, is even if you just did paper gift bags & just went to costco when you got there and bought some cases of water & soda and some snacks, I think your guests would still really appreciate it, even if you don't get all the other stuff to go in it.
  20. I like the idea of the cliff, but the beach is beautiful too, I think its a matter of personal preference. If dreams didn't have a beautiful gazebo overlooking the ocean, I'd do the beach, but I think the gazebo is so pretty and if I was getting married where you are, I'd do the cliff. I think the rose petals are a very nice idea, I would check with the resort to make sure they wouldn't have a problem with it and then maybe get some little favor boxes or organza bags to put the petals in. you could have the packages in a basket as people came into the ceremony location and maybe attach a little note about what they will be used for.
  21. jcrew has tan linen suits. I got one for FI, but we returned it because he didn't like it when it came in. He said it was shiny. I think linen usually has a little bit of a sheen to it, but I could be wrong. Anyway, we're still looking, he's driving me crazy!
  22. Mishi, its so great to hear how you've lost weight, you're getting me more motivated! Hearing about you losing 70 pounds is such motivation for me!
