  1. Ann~ I think they look great! Everything is so nicely coordinated and I love the band around the invite and the pointed flap on the response envelope. They're very pretty!! Great job!!
  2. Welcome Maria! I'm getting married in Cabo and never considered any of locations you are considering, but I'm sure you'll get some great replies with great insight.
  3. Jill, Thanks for the teaser! Great photos!! Can't wait to see the wedding pics!! I hope tomorrow is just how Lenita has always imagined it! ..Have fun tomorrow!!
  4. My little brother turns 16 on tax day. He got his permit 6 months to the day before his 16th birthday to avoid delays in getting his driver's license. He's the complete opposite....can't wait to drive!! I hope you get your problems resolved soon. If you guys lived down here, I'd drive him around for you during your honeymoon!

How bout if you buy him a car before you leave and leave him with a credit card? That should take care of Richard during the honeymoon! I think he'll like my solution too!
  6. Hi Kim, Welcome!! Loved your story! My fiance's cousin is getting married in Tahoe later this year. Looking forward to hearing about some more details of your wedding! Love that you two met online....my fiance and I did too ...on match.com about 4 years ago. Congrats on finding the love of your life!
  7. Christie~ Your STDs look great! Congrats on getting them out in the mail....I know how good it feels to accomplish a big project. Way to go!
  8. Christa ~ So sorry to hear about all of your stress. Like being 2 weeks out from your DW isn't stressful enough! I'll keep you in my thoughts.

I don't know if I have the skills that you do. Are they wrapped in fabric or is that tissue? I the middle of preparing the invites, I didn't think it was worth the time, energy and stress. But after I saw the end result in the box with the label, I really loved them and had a great feeling about them. I honestly could have saved a lot of money by just doing regular invites, which sounds good now as the budget is getting tighter. I'm not sure if I would do it all over again. The boxes are lined in fabric. It is actually 2 pieces of fabric with fusible batting in the sandwiched in the middle. Then the fabric was lifting off of the batting, so I had to hand stitch each of the sides to keep the layers together. Thanks again to everyone for all the nice comments.....makes me feel good!
  10. Sarah, Great review!! Thanks! What time are you moving your ceremony to?
  11. Melissa ~ I love the picture frame idea. He is going to love it!! It sounds like watches are the gift of choice. I'm actually making my gift.....It is a quilt with beach cottages, cabanas, palm trees, the beach and the ocean with waves. Tony loves the beach and palm trees, so I figured this would be a great gift. I'm going to also make a label for the quilt with a nice note and our wedding date on it. I also want to have his ring engraved...I think that is a great idea. BD pics would be nice too (I know he would LOVE those)....hmm.
  12. Chiming in late....I have to agree that from the pics the earrings don't seem to go with your other accessories, but I do really love the earrings by themselves! The fans look great (love the orchid!) too and I like Cain's shirt. Looks like everything is coming together....I'm looking forward to seeing your wedding pics!!

The pocket fold actually came from large sheets of handmade mulberry paper. I could cut (make that tear) 4 per sheet and then I folded each one to make the pockets and used rubber cement to tack down the edges of the pocket. Thanks for all the compliments!! I just had to share them after all of the time that they took. ...plus I thought you all wouldn't mind a little inspiration....especially those of you who are planning to make your own invites.
  18. I've been MIA on the forum lately....been trying to get these darn invitations done! I think I bit off more than I could chew with this DIY project, as I must have spent at least 100 hours on them. Anyway, I'm pleased with how they turned out, so I wanted to share them with you. My room block is being released in late March, so that's why I'm mailing my invites so early. Thanks for taking a look! I'm so excited they are done!! Box they are being shipped in (my brother is an artist and he drew the picture for us, which will also be our logo): What you see when you open the box: When you open the fabric lining: And finally, the inside of the invite: [
