I hate to say it but if you had a traditional wedding, it is even less time with guests as the event is just a few hours instead of a few days with guests.

My advice is to not over-plan.  plan on spending many hours by the pool, on the beach, at the bar with your friends.  those are the moments that you are going to remember.  Also, i tell our clients to try to stay a minimum of 4 night.  3 nights is too short and you will feel rushed.  5-6 nights are better.  For brides try to stay 6-7 nights so you can get most of the planning stuff out of the way before your guests get to the resort so you can spend more time with them.

Not knowing all the details, the rates your other agent may have given you may not have been with transat.  since transat has your deposit it would be easiest to move your group with the same supplier.

Do you know what the cancellation terms were before deposits were paid?  you will need to assess if it is worth is to move your wedding group to another agent and eat the penalties (if there are any).  The penalties should be very clearly spelled out.

It really changes if you are a US or Canadian bride as the suppliers have very different rules.

Hi Ladies,

I thought I would chime in.  The 3G promo is book 5 rooms get the 6th room free (lowest room) but 3 free room max.  If you have more than 20 rooms they try to put you in a new promotion that allows for more free rooms but not at the same ratio as 3G.

Also, canadian suppliers have very different promotions and rates.

Did you guys book with a travel agent who dealt with sunwing? I think we are getting ripped off! We have been told that after the 16th room we get the 17th free. Everywhere I read or hear, most people get book 11 passengers and get the 12th free. Or like yours book 5 room and get the 6th free.
