Best Friends wedding Tulum Gazebo Dec 4 2013

This was my best friends wedding last year at Tulum Gazebo in early December - AMAzing wedding - has her hair done at Tulum Spa, dinner at the Meditearraneao (??) at Coba - excellent time!
  6. Ladies - there are a few photos on my profile gallery of my friends hair and tulum gazebo wedding Enjoy
  7. HI My friend got her hair done at the Tulum spa last December for her wedding - I can send you photos if you'd like It went well - turned out beautifully and she has really long thick thick hair!! I also HIGHLY recommend the Relaxing/exfoliating massage in the morning of the wedding or anytime during the week - ITS AMAZING - a great gift to the gals, or mother of bride, etc - You will feel amazing - we three did this before her wedding last year at Tulum Spa and felt like a milion dollars- your skin is like butter and you feel relaxed - totally worth the 100 US !!! Common - you only get married once, right? hahah or at least thats the plan
  8. HI Ladies, So Its exactly one month today for me!!! Tulum Gazebo Wedding - staying at Coba from November 23rd to Dec 7th! Cannot wait. I have seen some questions about some things recently that I may put light to as I was at a wedding at Tulum last December: 1. Disco: The wedding we went to - we all ended up at the Haciendo (large square with live music, then shuts down and you go to disco, located there) - we all ended up at the disco - its small though and a lot of people, so hot and hard to get a drink...but its a good time Then I believe we all ended u hungry and at the snack bar and practically watched the sun come up as we reminisced about a wonderful day. It was great. 2. Music in restaurant: I beleive we all ate at the Meditearraeano (?) restuarant at coba for her wedding - we were tucked away and the other people at restaurant could hardly see us and we didnt interupt anything.. My friend was allowed to play her own music there and they had a mic and did speeches there as well. 3. I am getting Besobrides to come do my hair and make u for me and my gals - they have a facebook page and are great at communicating i am paying the $90 visitor fee for them to come - vendor fees are ridiculous - so just say they are your wedding guests as well ;) On to mine: I finally got an email to confirm everything and found out my pool side dinner and private DJ party is at the Premier area in Coba it is called Hibyscus Bar.Does any one know of this?? Has anyone had luck with Sparklers ever? Can we get them in Playa del Carmen are they allowed ? I havent chosen flowers yet.... Well thats it for now - Im getting so excited! Emms
  9. Hi! I have told them that they are guests and will only pay the daily fee - which I believe it $90 . I am banking on the hotel allowing me to do this as I have spoken with Beso Brides and they told me they have done this before at the GBP's. (Fingers crossed!) Less than two months! CANT WAIT! Emma
  10. Hi - I am getting married Nov 27th Tulum Gazebo, staying at the Coba. We are from Saskatoon, Canada and our guests paid 1485.00 CAD Taxes in with West jet vacations.. The year prior, Dec 7th, i went for my best friends wedding and we paid 1100.00CAD taxes in for the Tulum (ridiculously cheaper!) What do you mean by the news "luxury re brand"?? We are doing the private poolside dinner and then private DJ party by the pool. We cant wait!!!!! We have about 55 attending the wedding. I am bringing some of my own decorations. I have asked the coordinator to email me flower catalogue and such, but of course no answer. I am hiring BesoBrides to come do our airbrush make up and hair. When my friend got married last year, we had a relaxing massage and body scrub done the morning of at the tulum spa and it was probably the best thing ever and I highly recommend it, even if its a gift to all your ladies or mom..... they were about 100 US but OH SO WORTH IT.. your skin is like butter after!!! We are thinking of hiring the resort videographer as I am really wanting the day filmed now that I have seen videos of other weddings done. I am jsut worried about quality.... Anyone did this? Let me know ! THANKS!! Emma
  11. So funny but true.. hair stayed perfect the whole time. but again - you need to bring a strong hair spray and do not be scared to use it
  12. see below, my friend had hers half way and im the one of the right and the wind didnt bother us - SPRAY SPRAY SPRAY!!!! will be getting married at Tulum gazebo in Novemeber
  13. Great review!!! Any photos of your poolside party? we are having one as well How do we get it so they cover the pool with a glass as a dance floor? Just wondering! x E Sooo Agree - I like itineraries and schedules, but Commmon!! wayy too much! go with the flow, enjoy, everything will work out... give everyone a rough idea of what will be happneing but dont go over board! Itll seem too structured! My girlfriend jsut got married at the Tulum last december, and we had our own fake bouquets, no one said a thing. I think you get a bouquet with your package but we didnt end up using hers, and i will be bringing my own that I bought off Etsy.
  14. Thanks Tlseege!! You know I am toying with a photographer... But the rules re so strict on having one come in and I I didnt think his work was bad at all. Our friends got some great photos from him. I think it will be more stressful for me to start looking for one. Also, does a phtographer, who doesnt know us want to be in Mexico all alone (although the group going is extremely inviting and friendly) ? I am not sure how it work ? I think as long as they guarentee that we can get the Pablo Steak house for the dinner I will be ok with it. If not, then I may change options to have a poolside dinner which sounds wonderful. I have just heard that they want to rush you out by the 2 hour mark in teh restaurants, and thats the last thing I want, is to be rushed? Ugh.. so much to think about . Ill look over the options again. Thanks for your insite and letting me know what you did. You are helping tremendously!! Emms Also, do you have any photos you would want to share of your dinner and the weddings you photographed? That would be nice to seee Thanks Emma
  15. Hi - Thank you so much for your input - it is making me think... Do I know any photographers who would want to come for a week ?? You are right, it is about the same price, as I want him all day. )I am obsessed with photos and want to capture everything I can ) . I will start looking around. I am going to check his website again, calculate costs and see if its worth it. I was scared that 3pm was too early (My friends was at 4pm and found that to be perfect, as they were saying their vows the sun was golden on their skin...)...Ill just not like it if there is such a long wait between the ceremony and dinner, but i guess with the tapas and guitar entertainment it wont make it seem like there is too much of a wait.. it will also give a chance for some to go back to their roosm to freshen up (me and the girls to).. if need me. That sucks about sparklers... I would love to take a shot of us all on the beach at night with them... too bad. Maybe I can find some in Playa del Carmen and "sneak" them in... haha. (shh)... Where did you have your dinner? Do youthink its workth havigna poolside dinner, or do it in the restaurant? I am starting to worry bbc I have heard some good reviews with having a private dinner.... ?? Did you eat at the Pablo Steak house? My friend only used the Medittereano restuarant as her dinner and it was nice, privately tucked away from everyone and felt inimate... but maybe with us having 55+ guests, I should do a private event? I need advice on this LOL.... There are so many options to think about.... Oh and my wedding coordinator is Maria... but apparently she was away and Paloma is answering for her right now... but I still ahev 6.5 months.... I am open to all suggestions and comments Thanks!!!! Emma
