I am a cabo bride as well and hired an outside coordinator as well as used the on-site resort coordinator.

Some resorts have amazing wedding departments and they work well with outside vendors.  Other resorts do not allow outside vendors.

Your best bet is to narrow down your resort or wedding location choices.  If you want, I can def. help you....or I can refer you to a great cabo wedding coordinator. I know most of the vendors in cabo (I owned CaboWeddingForum)

well, shoot...we could have told you that.  Most of those photographers have been on BDW for years now. old news 

also, as they say "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".  I think you can double or triple that with a bride scorned.  If a bride is REALLY unhappy with her wedding vendor, you will hear about it.

Upgrades are not guaranteed because if the hotel is sold out or the next higher room categories are sold out, there is not much they can do.  We do send Palace a list of our brides so they are flagged as VIPs.

Regarding the "free nights", once all the rooms have been paid, we do an accounting with the resort to see what you have earned and then credit that amount back to you.  We always try to expedite this process and almost all get their refund before they travel (I cannot recall this not happening).  

Reviews are only removed by the poster.  We do not remove bad reviews at the vendor's request.  When we are asked by a vendor to remove a review, we tell them that they need to work it out with their client.

Regarding posting great or bad reviews, I think that with things like wedding photography, most people that post reviews either really LOVE their photographer or really HATE their photographer.  

If you feel that some reviews may be suspicious, flag them.  We do have some filters in place but of course cannot verify every review.

I also got married in Cabo.

Many of the resorts are still closed in June (from hurricane Odile) so you might want to see which ones will be open by then.

I actually had my resort wedding coordinator leave less than a week before my wedding.  The replacement was fabulous and did such an amazing job.  We are still friends 8 years later

I would put together a document of what was agreed upon with the other wc and ask to have a call to go over the details.

I am planning my wedding for December 2015 at the Hard Rock Hotel. Right now I am trying to pick a travel agent to work with. Has anyone ever worked with one of Hard Rock's WOW Specialist? If you have what were some of the benefits that came along with doing that?

Cabo is beautiful but it would be a long and expensive flight for your guest if most are coming from New York.

Cancun and Riviera Maya are a quick flight for you and much less expensive for your guests.  There are some great family AI's in that area....much more than cabo.
