    I heard about this program on here but saw that it didn't have a thread dedicated to it. I just talked Matt into doing it with me, yay!! We are going to start tomorrow and do Monday, Wednesday and Friday since those are the days were he doesn't work late. I hope we stick to it! Has anyone else done it? What did you think of it?

      I've done it and it really does work. I have never been a runner and I started this program last year and it really did get me ready for the 8K I ran last spring. I am on the program again this year for my April 8K...good luck!

          I kindof want to try it when we get back from vacay... I may die but that's the price to pay:P

            I used it to just start my weight-loss, now I'm to training for a half-marathon. I used the podrunners intervals instead, but it was essentially the same program.

            I did it! okay, that's a lie. I started it.
            I got up to being able to run for 5 straight minutes, which for me is a HUGE accomplishment. I think it was walk 1.5, run 5, walk 3, run 5, walk 3, run 5, walk 3... or something like that when I quit. I actually got sick and then completely unmotivated. I really did like the program though and it was amazing how well it worked. I could barely run 30 seconds before that!! AND, i can now still run 5 minutes straight... so that's a small accomplishment for me (yes, all you runners can now laugh at how much of a running wuss I am! :))

              Oh, I'm not laughing, Trish! I for sure can't do 5 minutes. I think I have a slight case of asthma but was never diagnosed b/c whenever I feel winded I just get control over myself and make it go away.

              I am excited about it b/c I feel like the small increments are totally doable!

                It looks like a great way to start. A year ago when i starting training to run I used a similar program. Now i can go for an hour at a 6mph speed on a tread. Keep at it :) it will definitely work!

                ok i am SO not a runner. BUT our new neighborhood is very jogger friendly so i may try this. i might start up after disneyworld, because after 8 days of all that walking ill already be conditioned to get moving!
