Welcome home Geminie!!! I can't wait to hear all about your wedding and stay at The Royal!!! Your video was incredible. So artistic and not the typical wedding video. I love it! Congratulations!

I also wanted to say that I hope you have an incredible wedding Katy. I think you are leaving tomorrow and I am super excited for you. I CAN'T WAIT to see all your pics and hear about all the details!

    Congratulations girls!

I have never been Type A, until I started planning a wedding! And, now I feel a little stressed that I haven't contacted Zulma or any other Royal coordinators. Does anyone suggest a go-to person at the Royal? Thanks so much!
Welcome!!! How did you book your wedding if not through a WC? I think from what I've learned about them, they're all way over-worked and I'm not sure that one is necessarily a better choice than another. IMHO. I suggest you type in OOT bags into the search function. I've been gathering a list of ideas, but there are lots of threads on the topic. Also, check out the planning threads, most of the time brides have shown pictures of what they included. Oh, and there's a whole thread on cakes, too. Show me the cake is what it's called, I think. Congratulations and welcome! And I'm so glad you've found this thread as helpful as I have! (It takes a lot of patience to get to here from page 1!!!) Good luck with all your planning!!!

Thanks so much for the welcome. We have booked everything through Marge at DestinationWeddings.com. She has been the middle person for everything. She told me that one the Royal's WC would contact me around January. That seems a little wild to me. From reading this thread, it sounds like most of you contacted on of the WCs far before your weddings. I think that's what I'll do.

Hey Gals! We're leaving pretty soon and I don't have time to re-read all of the postings. So I was hoping someone could tell me if they've heard or used a projector to do a slideshow of pictures (from childhood to being together). It's just something I put together this weekend, and then I realized I don't even know if I can use it!!
            Thank you!!

              Hey Athena,

I dont know if the Royal provides a projector but if you are having a dj then they should be able to provide it for you. We have booked Manni to be our dj and that is one of the options that he offers for $300. Let me know if you find anything else out. :)

Thank you!! We have booked a DJ, so we'll check with them. Never thought of that.
Also, has anyone heard how much it is for day passes to get into the Royal. Some friends of ours are wanting to come last minute, but both the Royal and Gran Porto are completely sold out!! We've found them a nice, cheap hotel near by (The Real downtown) but not sure how much it will cost them to come into the hotel (on days other than the wedding day).

Oh and if anyone has questions for the WCs that you've been having problems getting answers for let me know. I'll jot them down and ask her on Monday.

Who is everyone using for wedding day videography? I know Royal's preferred vendor is Funever Photos but I can't seem to find any samples of their work. They do have very reasonable pricing though for wedding day coverage... any other suggestions?

I'm really flip flopping right now on videography. Currently, we have playaweddings booked...but for photography ONLY. I've seen a lot of wedding videos...and I think with still shots, you can do some really beautiful slideshows to music...but...its not quite the same as LIVE video footage.

Do you have the prices for the Funever? I might get them to do just the ceremony or something...
