Pros: Fun stylist & artist that created a flawless bridal look

Cons: Communication with Martina

Natacha Bitsch (hair) and Carla (airbrush make-up) arrived promptly at 12:30, as arranged. They were both very sweet, outgoing, and fun. Their work was phenomenal! They did my hair and make-up, as well as my MOH and mother's. We were all finished by 3 pm.

I did not book trial run, I simply emailed several photos of "looks" that I liked. I was and still am extremely happy with how I looked. I received countless compliments alllll day and night!

Check out my planning journal for photos of my hair and make-up.

Only "negative" was communication with Martina. I became rather panicked because I had sent a payment via paypal, but did not receive a confirmation or details regarding the services I booked. After 3 days of not hearing anything, I had reached out to paypal with a complaint. This initiated communication again. Other than that, everything worked wonderfully.

Absolutely our pleasure @@pddcmc it was a beautiful day and we cannot wait to show you more! :D

Hi Everyone...

I'm going to unfollow the feed but before I wanted to share in my wedding experience at Dreams 3.6.15.

Sorry it took me so long...

We were picked up in a private car at the airport. When we arrived to Dreams we were treated like royalty. Our room was upgraded to VIP, which ment a separate VIP lounge and upgraded room. Our room was definitely the best in the whole resort. It had its own plunge pool and jacuzzi on the balcony. Our room was amazing! We had champagne and fruit waiting for us.

We met with Claudia, our wedding planner the next day. She had a welcome sign with our names. She remembered every detail of our wedding we had communicated with her through email. It definitely took the ease off to know that she had everything under control.

The day of the wedding...

My husband was given a room the night before to get ready in. I spent the morning at the spa and then got ready at the salon. They did a great job with my hair and makeup! ...Make sure that you have enough time for your photographer to take pictures of you getting ready. Claudia was at our room 5 minutes before 5pm! Very punctual. My husband didn't have time to get pictures taken of him getting ready unfortunately. The bouquet that was included in my wedding package was beautiful! On the way to the gazebo I felt so beautiful! Everyone watched from the balcony's and complimented me. It made me feel amazing! The ceremony was beautiful. The only thing is that we could barely hear the officiant. The party continued on the beach. I wouldn't change the beach as my reception. We had so much fun dancing the night away on our light up dance floor. I made a lot of my own favors. We had a table in the cocktail hour for guests to sign a frame with our names and a polaroid camera where the guests would find their name and replace it with picture of themselves. Everyone had fun with this! We also had glow sticks and sparklers for the reception. Definitely a hit! We also had my cousin dj for us and a friend of mine who is a photographer was flown out by us and stayed at a nearby resort. This saved us so much money! We even went with her earlier in the week and had trash the dress photos at a Mexican Cenote. Definitely keep your options open. There are many ways to save money.

Only cons for the reception...The Mexican Buffet was not very tasty. Also, the workers kept giving us shots of tequila. Our friends definitely did not help lol. My advice...pace yourself!

My husband and I ended the night in my wedding dress and his tux dancing in the club at the resort. Everyone was taking pictures with us and made us feel very special.

All and all...our wedding was very special! We wouldn't change our destination wedding at Dreams Riviera Cancun. The memories our family had there were one of the best we have ever had. You will be surprised of how gracious and attentive the workers are. We can't wait to go back next year. Any questions....please ask:) I attached some pictures...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
