  1. Hi Everyone... I'm going to unfollow the feed but before I wanted to share in my wedding experience at Dreams 3.6.15. Sorry it took me so long... We were picked up in a private car at the airport. When we arrived to Dreams we were treated like royalty. Our room was upgraded to VIP, which ment a separate VIP lounge and upgraded room. Our room was definitely the best in the whole resort. It had its own plunge pool and jacuzzi on the balcony. Our room was amazing! We had champagne and fruit waiting for us. We met with Claudia, our wedding planner the next day. She had a welcome sign with our names. She remembered every detail of our wedding we had communicated with her through email. It definitely took the ease off to know that she had everything under control. The day of the wedding... My husband was given a room the night before to get ready in. I spent the morning at the spa and then got ready at the salon. They did a great job with my hair and makeup! ...Make sure that you have enough time for your photographer to take pictures of you getting ready. Claudia was at our room 5 minutes before 5pm! Very punctual. My husband didn't have time to get pictures taken of him getting ready unfortunately. The bouquet that was included in my wedding package was beautiful! On the way to the gazebo I felt so beautiful! Everyone watched from the balcony's and complimented me. It made me feel amazing! The ceremony was beautiful. The only thing is that we could barely hear the officiant. The party continued on the beach. I wouldn't change the beach as my reception. We had so much fun dancing the night away on our light up dance floor. I made a lot of my own favors. We had a table in the cocktail hour for guests to sign a frame with our names and a polaroid camera where the guests would find their name and replace it with picture of themselves. Everyone had fun with this! We also had glow sticks and sparklers for the reception. Definitely a hit! We also had my cousin dj for us and a friend of mine who is a photographer was flown out by us and stayed at a nearby resort. This saved us so much money! We even went with her earlier in the week and had trash the dress photos at a Mexican Cenote. Definitely keep your options open. There are many ways to save money. Only cons for the reception...The Mexican Buffet was not very tasty. Also, the workers kept giving us shots of tequila. Our friends definitely did not help lol. My advice...pace yourself! My husband and I ended the night in my wedding dress and his tux dancing in the club at the resort. Everyone was taking pictures with us and made us feel very special. All and all...our wedding was very special! We wouldn't change our destination wedding at Dreams Riviera Cancun. The memories our family had there were one of the best we have ever had. You will be surprised of how gracious and attentive the workers are. We can't wait to go back next year. Any questions....please ask:) I attached some pictures...
  2. Hello ladies... I'm at the airport in Miami heading to Dreams for our wedding this Friday. I'll keep you all posted! Wish us luck!
  3. Hello Everyone! I will be getting married at Dreams on March 6th 2015. The ceremony will be at the gazebo and the reception on the beach. It's so great to read what you all have been discussing! It's helped with a lot of questions I have. Anyone bringing there own decorations? We are choosing to have the long tables for the reception and love the lanterns in between small centerpieces. I'm not sure if to buy them cheaper online and take them or see if they have them there. Is anyone also buying the maracas there? Thanks for the help:)
