hey ladies

so did a lot of you ladies do the webinar? I did and i was the one asking all about the bonfire and fire dancers lol i still dont understand since isela kept saying different things! In her presentation it said bonfires, then when i asked about pricing for it she said the goverment doesnt allow them. Then she said from may-october they dont allow activities on the on the beach after 9pm due to turtles? So i asked if i hire the fire dancers for my wedding night and my reception is on the terrace where do they perform? She said on the beach! i dont get it lol can we go on the beach with fire dancers or not! If we can then why cant we have the fire pit? Geez lol

Hey! I paid for the fire dancers for my wedding. I had them perform after my reception ended on the terrace - at 10:00 pm (I added an extra hour onto my reception). They performed from 10:00-10:25pm in the large grassy mall area, and they designated this the garden fountain area. However, my wedding was in February. This was the latest it could go because of the noise ordinance that the events outside need to end by 10:30pm.

I think what she probably meant is you cannot have a fire pit on the beach - I don't know if that is allowed on any of the resort owned beaches in Mexico.

FYI - I paid for the fire dancers for after the wedding, but half of the resort showed up as they performed; it is not private. The resort also had them scheduled during their weekly night activities for free (I think it was around 8:30pm).

Cost: 35 minutes - $950 + tax ; 45 minutes - $1250? + tax AND the price changed 3 times, it was first $850, then $900, and I paid $950.

I attended the webinar also! What Isela meant is that bonfires are NOT allowed at the resort.. Obviously the presentation was old and should've been updated prior to the webinar..But the resorts used to allow bonfires/firepits. The Jade is on a Nature Preserve, they have turtles, and rare birds, etc on the resort so anything that could harm them is prohibited. Also it's their mating season I believe between May and October.. It's confusing, yes. I only know this because I've stayed at the Jade before. Other than the miscommunication about the bonfires, did you find the webinar helpful? I'm glad I was able to attend, I made a whole new list of questions I have to send Isela! Btw, I'm so thankful she's SO organized.. And I'm glad we decided against the Saphire, I sensed that Ramon was all over the place the other day! It was horrible!

The Fire dancers usually perform once a week there, you could ask Isela for an itinerary of daily activities... But I wouldn't recommend adding the firedancers. They're a nice touch but after 15 minutes, it's kind of played out. And I think id rather spend the money on something else, especially if it's not private..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
