Good photographers usually show plenty of their recent work online including full weddings - you will save time by pre-qualifying photographers who have comprehensive online portfolio for possible meeting. Create a list of those photographers. Most important is - see if photographer's work looks appealing to you, if you can feel the "click".

anytime! and despite the bridezilla-like nature of this, I was thinking of putting together a powerpoint (or Pinterest) for my photographer so that he could see my favorite photographic ideas (though I don't want to get in the way of his creativity). it seems like shot lists are also popular, too, so that nothing is missed. family pictures are easy enough, but I've talked to a number of brides who don't have full-length pictures of themselves in the dress (alone) or even the bride and groom in front of the altar. funny how those things get missed in all the craziness.

good luck with everything!

ok, I'm going to say it's NOT bridezilla-like at all. Printing out that Pinterest board to use as a discussion point with your photographer, AND a shot list of the must-have-will-die-if-missed shots is a GOOD idea. Bridezilla is "these and only these shots". What's wrong with saying "full length photo of me alone in my dress", or "bride and groom at altar together"? These are moments that you can't get again (sure they can be recreated..but we know it's never really the same). Do it!

My photog will hopefully be my good friend, who shot our pre-engagement photos - and even though she knows us, I will still go over the shots that I really want to make sure we get with her. and she wants that too.

So I say go for it!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
