Xcaret Ecological Park Wedding

Recommended Posts

I have a video from the chapel at Xcaret on my site. It's the Ceremony Edit from Angela & John's wedding.

Playa Weddings - Video Samples of weddings in the Caribbean

There are some great shots of the photo session in the park in the Pre-Ceremony sequence as well. We didn't seem to have a problem with the crowds. The chapel is at the end of a pathway that you would not walk up unless you were going to the chapel for the wedding. The priest in this video came with the couple from their church. I don't know what minister they provide. I will say, it was one of the most spectacular and impressive places I have shot a wedding at.

I looked into this awhile back and I've sent sooo many emails to the WC and events coordinator and never heard back from them. If you go to Claudia Rodriguez's site (Claudia Rodriguez, Photographer, Cancun & Riviera Maya) she has a video/pictures of a wedding there. The reception hall is a cave!!! It looks amazing and I would have loved to do my wedding there BUT it's impossible to get anyone to get back to you! I figured that was probably a foreshadowing of how planning the wedding would be and I dropped it. Not that Claudia at Dreams Cancun is much better...but at least she writes back eventually!

I came across this park the other day and have started to consider it. I emailed the WC 3 days ago and of course have heard nothing back yet. I would really like to find out more info about it but like cancunbride2be mentioned, I am unsure of it because of their lack of responses!!

I didn't make it to Xcaret like I had planned so I wasn't able to grab any brochures but talking to Erick (photographer) he said that Xcaret is absolutely beautiful for weddings - and if you have 100+ guests you can have your reception in one of their restaurants...he says that the dance floor is like an island, you cross a bridge over water to get to it - it sounds so nice!

Hahahaha! I'm driving myself CRAZY!!!! I've always liked Xcaret ecological park but could never get any info, which was really disappointing sad.gif
I really really think that I've narrowed it down to Grand Palladium and Moon Palace.....now I just have to make the final decision. I keep trying to find package prices for Moon Palace, or at least accurate room prices for February but I keep getting wildly different costs. I've heard anywhere from $135-$250....I'm sure that accounts for the season but I can't figure out what the cost would be in Feb. or estimates for flights.....AAAAHHHHHHH.
I'm really leaning towards Moon Palace but just want to get an accurate price estimate :)

I got a really good contact for Xcaret. She responded to my inquiry within an hour.

Also here is what she said about minimum guest requirements....

Attached you´ll find the information of our services, is important to mention that the Park requires minimums of consuption of 50 people in January, June, July, August, September and October; a minimum of 70 people is rquired in the rest of the year.

She also sent me attachments for all the various site locations with pricing/banquet menus and pricing and everything you would need. I don't know how to post it here so PM me if you want me to forward it to you! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
