La Barcaza Wedding Reception?

Recommended Posts

We are paying $60 per person for the Chicken/Beef grill option. It also includes "National" open bar, which looks like pop, water, rum, and beer.

Thank you.

Hi ladies,

You will find all of the pricing listed on the website:http://weddingboatpuntacana.com/en/weddingsreceptions-menu-budgets-puntacana-5.htm

The boat holds 100 people.  You need a minimum of 20 people to reserve it for a private reception.

I was also told by Flori that we could bring other alcohol with us.  I will probably buy some bottles at duty free (vodka) and get some wine in DR.

I wouldn't bring candles, as they will blow out, but I am thinking of bringing some battery operated tealights and just placing the bouquets on the table.  I also found these foldable bouqet vases that I might order and then weight them down with some sand?  I cant seem to find the link for them right now, but they are basically a base you can pop the bouquets into.  i am also considering paper lanterns to string up along the edge of the boat. But not sure about that yet.

We are getting married at 3pm at Paradisus Punta cana, and then our cruise is at 5:30pm.   I plan to book the extra hour, but I am leaving that until the day since I want to ensure all of my guests are enjoying themselves!

Hi ladies,

We are considering using La Barcaza for a day trip excursion the day before our wedding.  Can anyone who has used them tell me about what the 3 hour tour includes.  I keep reading about the "Natural pool" - are the guests supposed to get out and swim around, so we should advise people to wear their bathing suits and bring towels?  Or is it more just everyone enjoying a boat tour and eating & boozing?? :)

Thanks!

Hi Sunny, I am doing the same thing as you but we had snorkeling on for 10pp extra which give you a little bit more time on the boat. But yet what I have heard is that you swim in the natural pool...when I've done things like this before people always bring a bathing suit :)

Hope that helps!

Just wondering if anyone has got married through La Barcaza on the beach. Flori e-mailed me and told me that the service is now performed on a beach in a national park and chairs are not allowed. I was wondering if anyone went with this option and if they have any photos of the set-up.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
