Great job!!

I did day one yesterday & remembered how much I hate push-ups! lol My chest is SO sore! Plyo in about an hour...UGH!!

Hi Girls,

I'm so happy I found this thread! I have me so unmotivated lately when it comes to losing weight...and have actually packed on pounds instead! eek.gif I see that a lot of girls on here are doing P90X which I heard is great if you stick to it but the videos are kind of expensive. I was wondering if anyone has tried the P.I.N.K. Method that was featured on Doctor Phil.  It's only 65 bucks and I saw some people post there results on you tube and it seems like it works, but I'm still skeptical. I have 258 days until my wedding to lose 55lbs so I know I definitely need to get a move on it.

I haven't heard of the P.I.N.K Method, but in my opinion as long as you find something that you can stick with you will see a difference; consistency is key. We purchased our P90X DVD's from an online site called Kijiji, and we also looked on Craigslist. So you can check out those, or buy a system that you will use. I've also heard awesome things about Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, so that may be an option. But doing anything is better then doing nothing!

I haven't heard of P.I.N.K either???  I am actually doing INSANITY (another beach body product) and am in my 5th week.  I like it because you don't need to buy anything else but the videos.  You just need yourself!  :)  Also, FI and I bought our videos directly from beachbody.  I have heard too many people receiving counterfeit videos that either don't work, skip or are missing workouts so just be privy to who you buy from.  You can do it!!!  You have to pick something and like aquamaniac said, find something you think you can stick with!  Good luck!!!

Thanks for the pointers girls...I'm definitely going to take a look at P90X, Insanity, and the Jillian Michaels DVD. I have been eating clean for the past week except my Margarita Monday mishap now I just have to be consistent with exercise.

So glad I just found this thread! I would also desperately like to get in shape for my wedding, I had a baby 2 years ago and never lost the weight from it, I thought preparing the wedding would be just the incentive, but instead all the celebrations and bridal parties etc are making it even more difficult! The main thing I wanted to cut-out was alcohol, particularly the white wine that I drink a lot of, but I just cannot bring myself to drink vodka sodas, ugh! 

 

I think it is important to find a fitness programme that works for you, and also that isnt too ambitious, I for one always just give up on the whole thing if I am not able to do it for 1 day! There are lots of gyms and palces for spa treatments where I live, which I completely plan on indulging-on before the wedding gets closer.

 

good luck with the weight-loss ladies, any motivational stories would be very welcome!

Super happy I found this thread. I have been in the weight loss mindset since December, but only managed to put on 10lbs and then lose that 10lbs lol. I work full time and am a full time student so I'm banking on sheer healthy eating to help me lose weight. I'm finding it difficult to work in any exercise during my days although I do have a Shapes membership (total rip off by the way). So does anyone have any suggestions? Especially for that armpit fat area and thigh/butt area!

Hi Ladies,

 

So I just hired a personal trainer to kick my butt for the next two months. Just before my weddding I will post before and after pictures. I had my first training session last night and I feel like Jello. I was grunting so loud cause he was pushing me so hard. I'll keep you posted.

Oh ya I got a trainer too but had to put him on hold for now. He's a real dick, but its because he's pushing me and I'm a real negotiator to try and get out of pushing myself. Good luck it gets easier!

Had my first work out last night and now it's starting to KILL ME. My thighs and lower back are in so much pain but it will be worth it in the end. I told my trainer I apologize if I put out too many F-bombs during my work out. HAHA!
