The Hard Rock Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

I was told the same thing.  I won't get a WC coordinator assigned to me to book location etc. until 3 months before (which freaks me out a little).  But just reading around here there have been others that have been able to reserve way before that!  I don't get it.  If you find out anymore info on this or how we can book before the WC is assigned please let me know and I will surely do the same.  Happy planning!

We also visited the resort & loved it!!! We have over 70 people coming to our wedding in April & were very happy with the resort! We loved everything about it- the beach, the food, rooms etc. Your video brought back all the memories :)

I haven't been assigned a WC yet but I was told they would contact me in January to book the spaces (ceremony, reception, welcome dinner etc). I have since heard that others were able to book these places more than 6mths in advance... so confused!!! Anyone in the same situation?

thanks gina for the video and answering my questions. I was wondering if you can give md a little more details about the unlimited parties with more than 75 nights booked. That works out to 11 guests if they stay for seven nights. i was worried about the ceremony n having to walk on the sand but after seeing ur video, i was relieved. i have also contacted our TA to ask if she can give us a deal to visit HRH for a site inspection.

Hi Van,

So the deal with the unlimited parties is that if you have 25 rooms booked or if you book a total of 75 room nights than you can get unlimited private parties. So for us the welcome party, the cocktail hour, the wedding reception, and the brunch are all free in terms of booking the room, the food and the alcohol. Decorations, music, etc are all things you have to pay for. It really is such an awesome deal and allows you to really put moeny into the decorations, music, lighitng, etc. We are even going to do a party boat/snorkel tour for everyone the next day since we are saving so much money on the food and alcohol. ...and I felt the same way about the beach I did not want to walk in the sand and deal with the wind but after seeing it and how they have it set up and standing there and seeing the views it totally changed my mind.

If you have any other questions let me know.

Thanks!!

Gina

Gina-

Thanks so much for sharing all of that.  The resort looked amazing.  We are leaving in 13 days to get married there and I can't wait!! I do have a question for you.  Does the resort have Internet connection though out? I have a few people coming to the wedding that wanted to be able to communicate back home to their children but I wasn't sure if the hotel had Internet.  Also, to call back home did they say anything about that? I know you can buy international calling cards but sometimes they don't work so I was just curious.  Thanks again

Hi ladies!

My fiance and I just booked at the Hard Rock for Nov 9th 2012! We had originally decided to go with the Majestic Elegance, but due to our wedding size of about 100 it seemed to be a much better deal to do it here. We were a little nervous at first because of all the negative reviews but Gina your video erased all of our doubt! It looks amazing!

OMG Gina you are a lifesaver! I have been sooo worried wondering about everything with so many questions that can't be answered yet! I'm 5 months out so I will be able to communicate with my wedding coordinator soon, but it is so nice to have a head start. I was thinking the gazebo would be best for the wedding (I really want some fantastic wedding shoes!) but now I can see the beach will be just fine. My FI will be much more happy with this I think.

The resort just looks so amazing. Now I am just too excited, February can't come fast enough!

Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Ladies, I just wanted to comment here because I was at the Hard Rock last year. First of all, you've all made a great choice on this property - especially if you have a large group (and you like gambling). The casino at the Hard Rock is the biggest and most elaborate casino in the DR with a full sports book, tables, slots, etc. It's really a lot of fun for an evening activity and especially with a group. Since the Hard Rock name came in, they filled it with all the fun rock and roll paraphernalia, which is pretty cool (like Madonna's pink limo!!). Something a little bit different than a typical caribbean resort. It was indeed a former Palace resort, so you can expect the high standards from that company as well in the rooms. It's a very large property, but that means lots of space to wander, many restaurant choices including a sushi spot, and lots of space and choice for your wedding locations! That is a bonus of a larger resort - good luck to the upcoming brides!

Awesome! Im so glad that the video was helpful! I was freaking out to until we got there and met with Nancy. She put all my fers to rest and seeing the resort made me ffeel so much better. It is the perfect place for our wedding and our guests who are mostly young and like to be social and drink and dance etc. The resort defitnely can also be romantic and quiet if thats what you want but i like that it does have a good nightlife at night if that is what you aer looking for. And the food was acuatlly relly good and ive heard from a bunch of people that have stayed at other Punta Cana all inlcusives that the food was gross so I was freaking out about that. I mean it wasnt food you would expect at the Ritz but it was really good and plated niceley and for an all inclusive it was way above what i thought it would ever be. And the wedding team seems like they can really pull off anyhting you want. I think it is defintely hard to get answers from them (i sent an email when we got back confriming the times and loacitons of things and have still not heard back) but i do think they are just busy and not as in a rush as us Americans are but I do think they are getting all the emails and eveyrthing will get done that you want. Is there anyone on here that has gotten married there already or their wedding is soon? I would love to hear what it was really like.

Gina

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
