Hi Girls! I got married in October at the Hard Rock and have posted this before but just wanted to give a shout out to the people I used for photography, videography and invitations since I loved all three!. Invitations I used Marry me Designs. By far best price i found even if I tried to do them myself she was still cheaper for what I wanted. - http://www.marrymedesigns.com/ Photography I used Michael Steingard who is AMAZING! My pictures are more than I could have asked for. I am a photographer so pictures for me were sooo important and his style was exactly what I wanted. Heres a peak at some of the pictures from our day. We got married in October 2013 in the Dominican Republic at the Hard Rock Punta Cana. We loved our photographer and videographer so we wanted to pass along a review to hopefully help future brides. Our photographer was Michael Steingard who was amazing. He was so chill and easy to work with and we had the best time taking pictures with him. He was with us for our welcome party, wedding, and party boat. He made it so easy to take pictures and noone even realized he was there most of the time. He played a slideshow at our wedding of pictures from that day and everyone was amazed. When we got all of our pictures a few weeks later we were beyond thrilled. We loveeeeedddd every single picture and were so happy with him and his work. He gave us a cd with all the pictures which were all edited and what was exactly what I wanted. He is from Canada but goes to Punta Cana a lot to do wedding photography. We highly recommend him. He did two weddings for our friends and we loved his work so we knew we had to have him and his second shooter Valerie come down to Punta Cana with us. We knew that the pictures and the video were sooo important to us so the cost was worth it to us since we know we will want to look back on that weekend for the rest of our lives. Chris and Valerie came to everything that weekend and you did not even know they were there. They were so nice and easy to be around. We just got our wedding recap and we lovvveee it. It is amazing. Vaen 23 when is your wedding? Mines October 27th?.. I was going to say i think that beause we signed our contracts in 2011 we are basically grandfatherd in to those rules. Im so excited for my wedding but its defintely a lot of work dealing with all these different people and noone has the same info or answers. its frustrating!

I would defintely call the hotel.. The outside planners dont always seem to have the correct information!

Hi! Vinarum! I did the $2500 (i thik either 25 ot 2600) and i get him the full day of the wedding and atrash the dress session and full rights to the CD... I am a photographer so I dont need the prints. Im going to do that myself.. Which one are you thinking of?

You can defintely bring in your own photographer. You guest need to say he is a guest of your wedding. That is waht we are doing and what other Hard Rock brides have done. I di dnot like the resorts photographer so I am 100% bringing my own. Michael Steingard. He's great!

Vinarum we are just saying he is a guest.. the hard rock cant say they will allow you to bring your own photographer but they unoffically told me that if he is a guest then they cannot stop guests from taking pictures.. People definitely bring thier own photographers all the time. It wont be a problem.

I havent found the fabric yet but i think im going to buy it and just have our freind sew it.. think it will be cheaper that way since rentals seem so expensive... I havent picked the menu yet but my paretns are going down to do a tasting in june so ill finalize everything then.

The latest you can do outdoors is 11p... ballroom can go to 12a with no fee or past 12a but you will have to pay a fee.

Hi Girls! HILDALIN- My parents were in DR last month and went to the hotel and got a lot figured out for me. I know we ar getting the white lounge fruniture from creative punta cana for both the welcome party on the rooftop terrace near the beach and for the reception inthe ballroom and they said it really wasnt expensive at all and then for the reception ,which is in the ballroom, since i didnt want to deal with the heat for the reception or chance it with the rain, we are draping the whole place with white linens and uplighting and i think those were alittle more pricey but since we were saving ont he food and drinkwe just went for it. For the centerpiced i wnt lots of candles so we started buying them and paling on bringing alot down becasue i think those get pricey so the less we have to get fromt he resort the better. We are also bringing our own overlays down since fabric in NYC is so cheap. Im maikng all the menus myself and bringing those down and bringing chincese laterns for the cocktail hou (at eden pool ) down my self as well. I think some things from Hard Rock are reasoanble and toehrs are soo expensive! Its weird! VANE23-Would loveeee to see pics of your friends wedding! VINARUM- We went and saw all the options so hers alittle expalnation of them- There is the roof top terraces by the beach. they are really big and overlook the pools and the ocean and are great choices for an outdoor reception or welcome party (we are doing out door welcome party at the terrace by the beach,. the ceremony ont he beach at the far left of the resort since it had a long aisle, the cocktail hour at the edne pool since its soo gorgeous and private and then we decided to do the reception inside since one of the nights we were there it was sooo hot and all i kept thinking was if this was my weddig night id be ,elting and i cant see anyone wantsing to dance.. plus if it rains after 12p and you decide to keep you wedding outdoors and it rains later that night there is no plan B, your wedding is inthe rain and i didnt want to cahnce it and figured air conditioning for the main part of the reception would be good for everyone including my hair and makeup hahah). So there is also the sax pool wich is a half cirlce pool ares that you can do the reception or welcome party at and there is the eden poo which i love. or you can do it int he ballroom. As for photographers we went with Michael Stiengard. I am a photographer so i am extremely picky about this and his style is exactly what i wanted and he is resaonble. $2500 for full day of shooting, plus a trash the dress session, and the CD with all the edited pcitures. Look him up, his blog has some amazing pics on it. Plus he normally books a ton of weddings down there so you dont have to pay for his accomodations. TATIANA- Our group rate for the hotel is $172 per person per night for the standard room. We booked our trip through Endless Travel so she handled all the details. If you want thier number let me know. She's great and is handiling everything for us.

Its all food and alchol.. its top shelf but in the DR top shelf is like absolut.. not grey goose. they dont even have that there hahah.so its like rack to mid level alcohol.

What kept me away from Paradisus was a few reviews from my freinds who have gone there. Said food was horrible so for me that crossed that one off the listed right away. We visited the hard Rock and the food was good for an all -inclusive... Plus If you haev enough people (75+ room nights in total) then you acn get free unlimited party which saves so much since you are not paying for food or alcohol. You'd think at an all-inclusive you wouldnt have to pay for that but you do when you do aprivate party so that was a huge help and allowed us to go all out with decor etc.

And put all the inof in it and pics of the guests and fun facts about them.. Question, how did you desgin yours and how did you print them and bind them? So happy that you had a great wedding! Hi Girls! So I have a questions for the brides that have already been married at Hard ROck Punta Cana. We are getting married enxt October and choose the symbolic ceremony. At first we had the legal ceremony but Nancy told us that all the paper work is a pain and the the legal ceremony is not as personal as the symbolic one so we switched it. Now im rethinking this as I dont know if I want to get married first inNew York becaue then we will already be married when we come down for the wedding and i started to wonder will it feel as special if we are already legally married?.. Has anyone choosen the legal ceremony at the Hard Rock? How was it? Was it personal? I want to do the sand ceremony and have a reading and have the minsiter talk about love, marriage, etc. i want it to be romantic and personal, not cold and official. Does anyone know anyhting about this? For brides to be, what are you doing? Legal or symbolic? Let me know. Thanks!

Hildalin.. I booked Michael Steingard for photography. He's from Canada but come to the DR for weddings and if he books enough (which he usually does) then you dont worry about travel just pay his fee which $2500. And for videography I am bringing a videographer from NY since I wasnt a big fan of anyone down there but I am photographer so I am extra pciky.

Hi Beachbride312- We brushed our teeth every night with the water fromt he sink and we were fine. If I wnted water to drink i used the bottle water in the mini bar but I did take advil with the water from the tap and was fine. It says taht the water is purified throughout the entire resort and is safe for drinking. But there is free bottled water inthe mini bar so you can alwys use that if you wanted to.
