  1. Sunlover- I am not sure what you are talking about for the free stay. We didn't get any of that but that was probably because we went through Apple Vacations to book the flight and hotel and not directly from the Hard Rock website. I am assuming you are talking that if you book right from the Hard Rock website they offer incentives for having more people stay with you? We did get the 1500 resort credit but we used all the credits on the wedding package. Breann
  2. We are back from the wedding and it was amazing. Now that I have done it, it was a breeze and I have no idea why I was worried about things not coming together. We had 31 guest attend. We didn't do a reception after just dinner for us and the guests. We met with the W.C. the first full day we were there and that is all that you see of her. She goes over the details and tells you what part of the beach you will get married on. I am so glad we paid attention in that meeting because the W.C. ended up being sick the day of the wedding so nobody in the wedding party knew what to do. Thank god I wasn't down there with them or I would have been stressing. My husband showed everyone their places and it all turned out great. They pick you and whomever is walking you down the aisle up in your room 5 minutes before the ceremony takes place and bring you to the location. The photographer that comes with the package took some amazing pictures. I am so pleased with the way everything turned out. We did a Symbolic Ceremony so it maybe lasted 15 minutes if that. Everything went by so quickly that I don't even remember hearing the guitarist that we had playing. The resort is beautiful and just like everyone is saying it is HUGE! The first day we got there I was so overwhelmed and thought that maybe we made a mistake in picking the location. Once our guest started to arrive then I knew that we had made the right decision. It is perfect for a group of people and the weather we had was just perfect. It was about 90 degrees plus humidity. I read a lot of reviews about the customer service being poor and I partially agree with that. I say that because the workers do not speak very good English. Everyone speaks Spanish so at times it was frustrating because nobody understood what you wanted. After a few days you pick up on things and find the bartenders that speak somewhat good English so it all worked out. The standard room was beautiful and we didn't even upgrade. I loved the bathroom with the double shower heads. Overall there is nothing to be worried about the place is amazing and I would go back in a heartbeat Best of luck to everyone!!! Breann
  3. ginamapi - We are leaving in 10 days to get married at the Hard Rock. I will fill everyone in when we get back. I can't wait!!!!
  4. Gina- Thanks so much for sharing all of that. The resort looked amazing. We are leaving in 13 days to get married there and I can't wait!! I do have a question for you. Does the resort have Internet connection though out? I have a few people coming to the wedding that wanted to be able to communicate back home to their children but I wasn't sure if the hotel had Internet. Also, to call back home did they say anything about that? I know you can buy international calling cards but sometimes they don't work so I was just curious. Thanks again Bre
  5. I did do that but they wouldn't answer any of my indirect questions. The lady told me that I will be able to get those questions answered when I get my WC 3 months prior. Are you having a reception there or back home? We have 35 people coming and we don't plan on doing a reception there b/c we are having one back home. I am really anxious to see what they have set up for after the wedding for all of us to go get a drink somewhere. I would hate to spend more money on a package deal when everything is all inclusive and seems silly to purchase a food/drink package.
  6. LovesJakeyPoo - I am getting married at the Hard Rock in October, 2011 and I was told that I won't get a WC assigned to me until 3 months before the wedding. Yikes!! I am a planner just like you so I am not liking that idea at all. I have so many questions to ask once I can actually talk to someone. I will keep you posted
  7. I am also getting married at the Hard Rock in October, 2011. When researching the marriage part of it, it seems a lot easier to get married in the states first before going to Punta Cana. We are looking at getting married the week before in the court house and have a symbolic ceremony in Punta Cana. Has anyone had luck with their Wedding Coordinator? The lady I was assigned told me that the on site wedding coordinator would contact me 3 months before the wedding to set up details. YIKES that worries me b/c I want to get all the details done now. Any information would help. The pictures online look amazing. Breann
