Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

I just went through the same thing.  My FI was pretty nervous about not having an outside photog listed as "ok", so I at least got Janina to change that part to say we have to pay for at least one nights stay for our photogs.

Also, can anyone give me a ballpark as to how Del Sol's prices compare to the packages offered by the resort? It sounds like I'd have to book a room for them to stay so they could come on site but a lot of the reviews I read make them sound like they're worth it!

Thanks ladies :)

Thank you, Jamie!!  You have a great start to your website.  So excited to see what you end up updating!  I hope you're able to do something YOU like this weekend, like you said. :)

Oh and ndvidul thanks for checking out the website!!!  I'm going to try and work on it some more this weekend and get some pics posted.

I'm really hoping that this weekend I can get the pics posted of ours. My FI will be dove hunting this weekend so I won't have him around and it's homecoming so the kids will be out doing their thing. So maybe I can find some time to do something I would like for a change. Ha!

One thing for you ladies to think about.......I just found out if you have a TA and anyone attending your wedding books directly through the resort through another travel site you don't get credit for those room nights. We have 2 couples that booked through the membership. I'm a little sad about that but what can you do. However I'm very thankful they will be making the trip.

Hope you all are having a wonderful day!!!

Hi new to the site but getting such great info. ;). I wanted to do a boat ride like this for my guests the day after the wedding. Do you know of children are allowed? And does it leave from Moon Palace or u have to go to Isla Mujeres Palace? And does anyone know if they have a photobooth to rent -I thought I saw that in someone's review. I was wondering how much that was. Thanks so much everyone!

This looks like a great idea!  I may have to do some research into this!  I think would be a great idea for a "gift" to our guests as opposed to the table favors....

Thanks for such a great review. I change my mind about Moon Palace (and sometimes the whole idea of a DW) just about every hour... it's good to know that this isn't uncommon and it'll be worth it if I stick with the plan :)

So here's yet another question I have... one of the big reasons we are planning to book at Moon Palace is for the golf course (we've got a lot of golfers in our group). I notice on the Moon Palace website right now there is a promotion for unlimited golf if you book three or more nights. Since we're aiming for next October I doubt anyone will book by the time this promotion ends.

Anyone know if this a promotion they run pretty regularly or has anyone been able to get this incentive with their group rate, etc.?

The promotions change often so what is posted now maybe not available then.  However; each member in your group will receive "resort cash" which can be used towards golfing and other items at MP although the amount used may not often the entire golfing experience.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
