Not to me, we did the same thing :o)

What about inviting them to the dance only? Then, if they want to come to wish you well they can... but your dinner and ceremony is still an intimate affair.

Yeah what's a buck and doe?

I wouldn't invite them. Easier said than done I know. But still if you really wanted them there, you would have invited them. I still don't get how people can ask to be invited or say "I better be invited when the time for your big day comes around."

Here's my take:

1. May I sleep with your husband?

2. Have you gained weight?

3. Is your acne acting up again?

4. Are you pregnant? You look like you have gained some weight.

5. Are you inviting me to your wedding?

All of the above are rude and tacky things to say to people, and I till this day do not understand how people still have the audacity to make these rude comments. I mean seriously people need to get some tact.

You poor, poor, non-Canadians :P A Buck & Doe is a big party that's thrown for the bride & groom to help raise money for the wedding....kind of like a big combined bachelor & bachelorette party :)

I say don't invite them...just let them know that it's just a small affair and invitations are already out :P

A buck and doe is a party us Canadian's throw to raise money for the bride and groom. Its a big party where you pay to get in and the drinks are cheap (but the B&G are still getting profits) and there are games and dancing and lots of drunken people spending lots of money to help out the B&G to pay for their wedding.

Laura, You better invite me or else. lol Just say no. Tell them its a small intimate ceremony of just close friends and family and you would love to invite them, but are sorry.

Still invite them to the buck and doe, everyone goes to that, not just people coming to the wedding, so do not worry about that at all.

FYI, when you are planning your B&D, have your MOH email me, I know all the cheap halls in Barrie, I had to research it for my sister's B&D.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
