      It took a lot of teeth-pulling (and still not everything was answered satisfactorily), but this is my email and what I recently got back from Lizzie:

      Thank you for the attachments, however not many of my questions were answered! I understand that we do not get an on-site coordinator assigned until 90 days before. However, I have talked with many other Moon Palace brides who have gotten married there earlier this year and even brides-to-be that are even further out from their date than I am, and many of them have been able to reserve their locations and have their specific questions answered by someone (whether it is their on-site coordinator or not). Some future brides that are farther out from their day than I am have said that they have been told their preferred locations are not available for their day! 
       
      That being said, I would like to at least have either Tucan Terrace or Venado Terrace put on hold for our private reception location. The other event locations are not as important and can wait.   We have available Tucan Terrace, I already put it on hold however we do not guarantee location until 90 day before the wedding. 
       
      Like I stated in my previous email to Janina, the 90 day mark happens to land right in the middle of the holiday season which is not only a busy time in itself, but also a very busy time for me at work. There are also things I would like to order and get done in advance to make sure I can get them on time and not have to worry about shipping around the holidays. I know you must appreciate being organized and prepared as you are in the wedding industry!
       
      If you could please answer my questions below, or forward them to someone who can I would very much appreciate it. I will highlight the more pressing questions that I need answered more immediately.

      Immaculate Conception Package

       

      * We are in the final stages of our Pre-Cana and are getting ready to submit our paperwork to our diocese. Is there anything you need from us?  at the meeting time on the onside wedding cordinator please bring all the documents  

      ok

       

      * Because the Catholic ceremony is not legal in Mexico and we must do the legal part in our hometown, can we do it after we get back home if we chose instead of before we leave?  If you mean legal in church yes it is,  that´s why we are request all documents 

      I meant legal in the United States.

       

      * Will you be sending us information of what we need to choose for our ceremony (readings, songs...etc)? Please find enclosed the planner of the wedding ceremony.

       * We would like to do the Lasso ceremony during the mass. Is that that included?   

       

      * Will we need to provide our own Lasso?  Yes. Ok

       

      * What is included in your standard decor for the Chapel (as well as aisle bases)?    Please find enclosed some pictures.

       

      * Since we have paid for the flowers used for the aisle bases (and since they will not be used again and likely to be thrown out), why can't they be moved to decorate the reception location?  There are  included ( like the pictures)  however there are inlcuded just for the ceremony. If you want buy other ones it is possible moved to the reception location. Will there be alter flowers we can have moved to the reception? I will attach a picture from a Moon Palace bride who used her ceremony flowers for her cake/guest book table.

       

      * What songs does the solo harpist (included in our package) play in the ceremony?  They have a program, if you like a special song please let me know and I will let him know. Ok

       

      * Instead of the included bridal bouquet, can I use those flowers for decor for our cake?  It is possible, would you bring your bridal bouquet? I am planning on making my bouquet with Real Touch flowers at home and bringing them with me.

       

      * We would like to have a private reception instead of a dinner reservation for 35 people. Can we use that reservation for a different event?  Not, the dinner reservation is just for the wedding day and it is in a restaurant. Ok

       

      Wedding Day

       

      * I don't want wrist bands to be in our pictures, Can we take off our wrist bands on the day of the wedding without being charged a fee for us and our guests?  Yes, onside wedding cordinator will cut it before the wedding ceremony (just bride and groom) after the party you need to go at reception in order to get the new ones.  Ok.

       

      * I would like to get my hair done for the wedding. When am I able to schedule my appointment and who should I call?  please let me copy to Karla Estrada from Spa services she will help you. Ok thank you.

       

      We are having Del Sol come and photograph our wedding. Can we please get 2 day passes for them?

      Yes, it is possible pleae note:

      Outside vendor services (photography, florists, decor companies, audio visual companies, entertainers, etc) are not permitted on permises. we will provide our couples with a variety of in-house services to choose from. A penalty fee of $388 USD will be charged per vendor per event to the couple´s Wedding bill. Palace Resorts will not be claimed responsible for any such required services. Ok

       

       

      * What does the driver of the horse carriage typically wear?    

       

      We are putting together invitations now. Can we finalize/hold cocktail hour/reception location and times so I can put them on our invitations?   

       90 day before the wedding we can confirm the location at the mome

      * After our ceremony we would like to have a cocktail hour. 

       

           * Can we have the Mexican Trio or Mariachi play during the cocktail hour?

      Will you send me all the options for appetizers for the cocktail hour and buffet options for the reception?

      * At this point, I don't think we will hire a DJ. What are our options for music and what is the pricing?

      Can we release "Wish Lanterns" during our reception? (They flame retardant and biodegradable)

      * Do you provide printed menus to place on each setting at the reception since we will not know what the menu is until we meet with you? 

      I´m sending the menu, please select them and if you like a printer menus we need asked for a quote to our vendor. Ok. I will just choose in advance and print them at home. Thank you

       

      * Will you provide a Complimentary room for guests to leave their belongings in or to freshen up in close by the reception?   It is subject the availability. Ok

       

      * Do you have anything that we could use (basket/tray) to place Pashminas in at the reception?  please let me ask and I will let you know Thank you

       

       

      General

       

      We are putting together Pre-Travel Brochures. Can you send me any information that my guests might find useful/helpful to know about the area/resort?

          Lizzie has still not answered that one. She asked me for pictures of them, and I sent her pics plus a website so she could learn more about them. But still no answer! :(

            FI and I has since decided not to do this.  However; here is the answer that I received:

            Absolutely, just a question would you bring the lanterns with you?

              Here is what was sent to me and guess what she responded on a saturday.. definitely gift worthy.

               

              3)      Would we be able to release Sky Lanters (they  are 99% biodegradable, non-flammable and safe and easy to use) See attached picture?

              Absolutely, just a question would you bring the lanterns with you?

                  Right now we have 39 people with 16 rooms booked and still counting.  Although pretty the cost nor packing of these items are something that "we can't live without"  That's all....

                    Gotcha!

                     

                    They are definitely somewhat costly and I didn't think about the packing...do you know if they come flattened and fairly easy to pack? Right now we don't have a TON of people confirmed. I think it could be much smaller than we originally thought. There are even a few people that said they were going a while back and are now hinting or saying they might not come anymore!
