Wedding - Worried about reviews Grand Palladium Bavaro

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am getting married at this hotel in October and after reading some of the reviews (about food and hotel) on trip advisor, I am worried that I might have chosen the wrong hotel??

I have read on the other threads about people planning their weddings at this hotel, but can anyone who has already been married at this hotel tell me about their experiences?

I have 13 guests coming with me and I am a bit worried?

I think I just need my mid putting to rest :-(

I hate trip advisor. I was so worried at first about my resort as well.

I then looked at all the resorts and there is bad reviews everywhere.

I don't think you have anything to worry about at all! Everyone will love it. They are going for your wedding so they will be super excited.

Unless your guests don't like the sun, white sandy beachs, food and booze then you won't have a problem ; )

TripAdvisor has misled me more than once. I believe that those who have only negative comments love to post them on that site, but those who had a positive experience don't often share it. I think it's pretty skewed, but that's just my humble opinion! Your best source of information are the brides who were actually married there. You might also find some info in the Wedding Reviews section. Give it a shot!

TripAdvisor is the worst! I cannot read the reviews anymore. I agree with everyone else, connect with the past and future brides for your resort. They will give you honest feedback with pictures! Regardless, it's your wedding day and you will have a wonderful day.

Stay away from Trip Advisor! I agree only people that have negative things to say there. I was worried about my resort...but got much better updates and infromation from BDW brides. So I decided to search Trip Advisor from places I've visited and it confirmed they are miscued!

I still read the reviews on trip advisor but only for information like which beach is better between resorts, how the rooms are set up, activites available, etc. more technical things that i could probably get from a TA but is just easier to search myself.

However, I generally disregard reviews on service and/or "horrible experiences" because I find a lot of times it is also dependent on how that guest acts or in the case of really bad experiences, a lot of the time it's just bad luck, a pure coincidence and not a consistent issue.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
