The night before.....???

Recommended Posts

We'll be staying together the night before. We already live together, and I honestly don't want to spend a whole day of our trip away from him. That tradition isn't that important to us.

We're spending the night together but then I'm kicking him out of the room the next morning so I can get ready. :)

I will definitely need my sleep the night before and I don't get a good sleep when he's not there. Plus, I know we will both be feeling stressed so by being together it will keep things a little more normal for us. We've lived together for 3 years.

There are so many different views on this and I don't disagree with any. We have decided not to sleep together the night before. Our resort offers the groom a room the night before based on availability, if for some reason they do not have the room FI is going to stay with his brother.

I love the idea of spending the night apart before we get married but realistically I wont be able to do that. Like many others have mentioned, I really hate sleeping without him so feeling *blah* the night before our big day would totally suck! So Im planning on spending the night together and then I will tell him to set the alarm to wake him up a little earlier than me so he can leave the room without me seeing him or talking to him :)

We'll be together up until it's time for me to go get dressed for the ceremony. We live together, and are getting married before the cruise sails, so he'll see me with my hair & makeup done. My dress has been at my parents house since November, and I won't let him see it. That's probably the only traditional thing we're sticking with.

We stayed together the night before. We went to have mani/pedi together in the morning, and then I kicked him out of the room at 1pm when the hairdresser / make up artist arrived. The resort lend im a room to get ready. He still cried when he saw me down the aisle wink.gif I felt the marriage is a celebration of us together - not of us apart wink.gif

We are staying together. We have been through so much together in the last 5 years that we feel that this is a ceremony to make things "official" but we already are committed to each other & spending every day together. But I am probably going to boot him over to his parents room to get ready while I use our room, ha!

We stayed together the night before, this tradition was just kind of silly to us. We already live together, and honestly, those were the moments that I wanted him around the most so I would have been miserable if we didn't stay together. Do what feels right to you. Most resorts will offer a complimentary room for the groom the night before the wedding if they have availability.

I'm staying with my MOH and he is staying in our suite...or maybe I'll send him to my MOH room and enjoy the suite to myself! :-)

Either way, this is one tradition I wanted to keep. However, it's your wedding and go with your heart and not the voice around you.

    • OMG these are incredible! Seriously blown away by the thoughtful detail you have put into every aspect of your gifts, your guests are going to be amazed! Props to you for adding so many personal touches and putting in so much time to make these gifts amazing!
    • These bags are amazing!! You are so organized and detailed, I am so impressed! I LOVE the Vistaprint stuff you ordered, the logo is so cute, I love your personalization!
    • I love etsy!! It's a great place to find personalized gifts without such a hefty price tag. I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids personalized necklaces with their names on them. I found these ones that are affordable and you can pick the chain length and different fonts, so you can really make them your own and pick what you know each bridesmaid will want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/595334072/personalized-name-necklace-stainless?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=personalized necklace&ref=sc_gallery-3-9&plkey=a8662525c53ec285c1b46b0f308162d0591edff8:595334072
    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
    • I think you should approach the dentist. That would be the best idea as of now.
