Tenny, your pictures are absolutely beautiful!!  You looked stunning!!

So, last night was my bachelorette party!  It was a great time, and absolutely perfect (in my eyes....which is all that matters, right?!).  My bridal party had it setup where I would meet them at one of their houses, and then we'd go do mani & pedi's and then go to dinner.  When I got there it was a perfect group!  It was my MOH and two BMs and then one other girl from work that I have gotten closer and closer to throughout the whole wedding prep, and she's one of the girls going to Mexico with us! They had decorated the BM's house with a bunch of stuff from my bridal shower, it was super cute!  So, we went to get mani's and pedi's, and then went to one of the best places in the area to eat!  I didn't get to pay for any (of course), and it was great.  After having dinner and some drinks, we went back to the BM's house to pick up a few things that we'd forgotten and then went back to one of the places located "downtown" in the biggest city our little state has!  It was a pretty neat place where you can order off their very unique drink menu (the place is called "Drink!" appropriately), and then they have a bunch of board/card games you can play while sitting in one of the booths, high tables, or couches with coffee tables.  It was super cool!  After that we went back to the BM's house and hung out...had some munches...and did karaoke!  It was so much fun and as I said, absolutely perfect for me!  It's not really my thing to go out drinking/dancing, so it totally worked for me!

Here's one of the super fabulous pictures of me....holding my "Jolly Rancher Bomb"...  sorry about the devil eyes!  Oh, and the purple bracelet is my "penis" bracelet...it had a matching necklace!

Tenny - You look Beautiful!!!  I'm leaving for Ocho Rios this Wed. and cannot wait.

I had a pretty productive weekend and now two days left to finish up before leaving.

  • FI and I finished up our ceremony music tonight.  I was able to get my pre-travel sand buckets with goodies delivered this weekend and everyone loved getting them.  Increases the hype ot it all and there are things they will want to use on the way down.

  • Made my BM (daughter's) flip flops and hair flower as well as added rhinestones to her bouquet I made.
  • Made my sand ceremony frame
  • Cleaned house and mowed!!!  I do NOT want to come home from being gone 10 days to a dirty home :)
  • FI and kids are packed and I plan on finishing mine up Monday.

One bad thing, my son is getting sick which just sucks three days before we leave.  He's had a fever today and just feels like crap.  Hopeing I can get him feeling better by Wed.

Welcome back to all the brides who've gone and already returned.  It's going fast!

Welcome back Tenny, you looked stunning on your day!

Way to go Theresa, you seem very organized. Good luck with everthing and I can't wait to hear about it all when you return. All those DIY projects are going to stun your guests!

I finished my welcome book over the weekend, FI put together the LED throwies for the chinese lanterns and he finished up the ceremony fans which I thought was going to be impossible! I also started on my vows and did some more music selections.

Not much left to do, I can't believe it!!! I am getting soooo excited. Can't wait to see more girls return soon though to hear all the wonderful stories! Nite.

Finally, my last week of work. We had a productive weekend, considering I am getting sick. But I knew we had to get stuff done. So Friday night, I cracked a bottle of champagne and we got started on projects right after dinner. We finished off our programs and the OOT Bags. I must say that spray adhesive is amazing. We did it in our basement so we got a little giddy, but it worked perfectly for both projects. I also started packing some wedding stuff to figure out if we need to buy more luggage before we leave. It was so funny talking to FI's parents last night, they actually mentioned getting all their stuff into one bag and since it's their first vacation ever, FI told them no carry on and they are listening! I could barely contain myself knowing that I would have access to that much more luggage space if necessary.

My dress is now being altered, should be ready Thursday. Sadly it would be too much work to bustle, so I will have a train until I decide to go change. FI lost a bunch of weight so he has to have his suit altered. We are dropping that off tomorrow and picking it up on Thursday as well. We did finally manage to find ties for FI and GM.

So with just 5 days left, I think this is my to-do list:

  1. Veil
  2. Cake Knife
  3. Vase for Sand Ceremony
  4. Table Number Holders
  5. Shoes for during the week
  6. Finish treasure chest for ring
  7. Packing
  8. Cleaning
  9. Finish the dreaded play list!

Sounds like everyone is really making progress and getting things done!!!  Why does it seem like we are all getting sick before our wedding?  I woke up Friday with a sore throat, but it went away about mid-day.  Saturday, same thing...  Sunday, I woke up with a stuffy nose.  When I went to bed, I had all the cold symptoms...  So, I'm kicking it's butt with cold and sinus meds, so I can get rid of it because if I don't, it will take me all the time before the wedding to get rid of it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
