We are 3 months away, and I feel as though I don't have enough time to get everything I would like to get done. *gulp*  I'm in the midst of getting our OOT bags together and sourcing out the cheapest things to take down with us.  Mayte has been great in the sense that she is arranging all decorations etc, however we have opted to do a 'photo booth' with our photographer (since we are taking two down with us) and we have found these really cute mustach's on sticks through etsy to take down with us. I'm excited about them!

As time goes on my now 'wedding planning room' continues to fill up with things we are taking down with us (I just hope we are able to take down an extra sute case). lol

      Digado,

I love the idea of the photo booth and my friend just did the same with the cute mustaches from Etsy and it was adorable.
As far as decorations go, did you just send Mayte some pictures of what you are looking for?  Just curious what the best way is to get her the decoration details and or requests.

3 months is still plenty of time at least you've got your photographer booked and have started your OOT bags.

Are you going with Mayte's DJ or doing something else?

We still haven't seemed to nail down an opinion on Mayte's DJ.

Good luck with the packing ;-)

      Sheri

        Hey ladies,

How many of you are opting for a dance floor outside the Jellyfish on the beach vs. dancing inside the restaurant? I've seen pics with both setups and just wondering which is the best way to go. I love the whole setup outside with lanterns, but if it's really windy out, would it not be better to dance inside, lol? Decision, decisions . . .

        4 months, 9 days and counting....woohoo!!

My decision was made easier by the fact that setting up a dance floor outside costs more :) I don't remember how much more, but I'd rather spend it on something else. Dancing inside looks like a great option too, and some of my guests may just venture outdoors on their own and dance in the sand.. I'm sure the music will be loud enough that they can dance anywhere they like!

Thanks soooo much for this link. This makes it clear - I want my reception at the Jellyfish!!!!

Now if only Mayte would email me back and let me know if my date is available. Let's all hope no other bride has chosen my date...please!!!

                Hey Astef,

Did Mayte confirm with you that a dance floor outside would cost more? Cause we finally chose to go with DJ Mannia and I think this dj provides a dance floor which could be setup on the sand. Maybe I should double check with our DJ and confirm with Mayte too. Not sure if you saw the link I posted above, but this bride chose to have the dancing inside and had chairs/pillows setup outside in a circle for guests to chill on. I love that idea, so I'm also leaning towards this option now. :)

Never heard anything about it being more to have a dance floor outside.. we have our fees for her to set up for the ceremony & reception.

                    Hi Sheri

Yes that's absolutley what we did, I just did some research on the internet and took photos of the other things that we would like to have for our wedding, or flower arrangements we would like to have etc, and e-mailed them down to her.  She has assured me that she will do her best to match all of our photos, and from reading the other girls posts on here Mayte does an excellent job.  I have full confedence in her.

I am also going to print out all of the photos I have sent her via e-mail and make up a timed itenery to take down with me just to be on the safe side for when we meet to do our pre-wedding run through a few days before our wedding.

We are definatly going to have Mayte's D.J, (the way I look at it is in 2 ways: #1 Mayte has been doing this for many many years and she is a perfectionist from what I hear, so she wouldn't just pick anyone to D.J a wedding unless she knew they have the skills and ability to do so.  and #2 her D.J is far more reasonably priced then the others that are running their own busness on the side)   I am going to make up a play list for -dance music -dinner music -1st father/daughter dance etc., and put them onto an ipod just incase something goes wrong.  But Mayte has just asked that I e-mail her the list of songs we would like to have on our wedding day and she'll take care of the rest.

When are you getting married Sheri?

I'm pleased to say that Mayte got back to me...YIPPIE!!! And I'm now having my reception there. Figure, I still can get hitched at the resort and then we can walk along the beach there.

I'm also going to visit in two weeks, so I'll take some more pics and if anyone has any other questions - let me know.
