  1. Happy New Year Ladies! Does anyone know how the pricing works on the apps on the jellyfish brochure? For example the Mozarella Sticks are $1,5 is this price for just 1 mozarella stick? How big is a unit I guess is my question? Anyone know how this works? Thanks, Sheri
  2. Thanks Mel, It's always so helpful to get all these details from those of you who have had the first hand experience. I don't know what I would do without you all. Mel, did you pick the wine for dinner or did they just serve a house wine? Anyone know if we can order special wine through Mayte? I can ask her if not. Thanks again and happy holidays to you all.
  3. Thanks for the wonderful review Mel. I also am now thinking about changing to the ala carte meal option. We have 40 guests coming, so I'm not sure if Mayte will let us or not. Did it take a long time for the food to get ordered and come out? Oh and happy holidays to everyone! Looking forward to 2012!
  4. Jessica, I also can not find you on FB. Did anyone have any luck finding Jessica on FB?
  5. Jlarruda, So glad you made it safely across the borders with your sparkers. Even more happy that your MOH didn't burn down the Jellyfish. I think my FI is going to have to just suck it up and deal with the fact that I am a law breaker and have every intention of bringing those sparklers with me. You left from Logan right? Did you put them in a box or in a suitecase? Congratulations again and hope you are back into the swing of things in AL.
  6. Jlarruda, I hope you've gotten some well deserved rest after all your traveling. I have been dying to hear how the traveling with sparklers went? No TSA arrests or customs issues? I'm sure they were beautiful if they made it.
  7. MJKH, I need a lesson in couponing from you. What an amazing haul you have. You're guests are going to be thrilled. I would love to see a template of your passport booklet when you are done. I had a similar hope of doing that, but am not sure how I want to organize it. Congratulations on being done with your OOT bags and my best wishes for a wonderful wedding day!
  8. Ladies, All the pictures and videos are amazing! Each wedding had it's own unique and beautiful details and I can't wait to hear about the wonderful day from all of you. Sounds like the fire dancers were a hit and that Mayte's house DJ is a great deal. Congratulations to all three of you and hope you're relaxing and enjoying your honeymoon's or post celebration time.
  9. Great job! Love the pepto and Imodium packets! I am so grateful to everyone for all their ideas and willingness to share!
  10. I've been putting this off as well. So glad to hear it was so easy and now I'm motivated to actually get on it. Thanks!
  11. These are so much better than leaving the chapstick as is. I'm still a noob, would someone be kind enough to send me the template? Someday i'll make out of nooby stage ;-)
  12. Ladies, once again thank you for all the helpful details. It's funny just when I think I've got stuff rolling in the right direction, I realize that I haven't even touched the important stuff. Jlaruuda, thank you so much for sharing your group contact info at the ME and your current timeline. Megs, as usual thank you so much for sharing your playlist. Lots of good stuff on there. My FI loves Rascle Flatts and they are playing at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence in January. I don't know their music that well, but I think I might buy him tickets for his b-day if you're interested. I can't wait to hear how the sparkler transporation turns out. I think they will look beautiful on the beach and since the wish lanterns seem to be out of the question, this seems like a much safer and fire friendly option.
  13. JB, would you mind sharing the contact info for the Group Department at the ME? I would love to have a more private space for our Welcome Dinner, but didn't realize it was an option. We are doing both our ceremony and reception at the Jellyfish so I haven't had too much communication with the ME. Thank you all for all the info and communications ladies. Have a great weekend. Sheri P.S. Megs is running the Boston Marathon on behalf of the American Liver Foundation's Run for Research Team if anyone wants to show their support. She has been so incredibly supportive of all of us! (not even sure this is allowed on the site, but it's for a good cause so hopefully) http://go.liverfoundation.org/goto/MeganGaston
  14. MNtoMX, I'm in the same boat as you, feeling slightly unorganized, but at least we finally got most of our guests booked so at least I have an idea of numbers now. So looking forward to hearing about the other ladies experiences at both the ME and Jellyfish! I'm sure everything will be absolutely beautiful, but I love seeing what everyone does. In regards to the house DJ, Megs who was on here previously said that the house DJ is fine, but that he mostly just played what was on her ipod. Which I think she actually asked him to do. I think if you have a group who will make the party their own, then you're probably fine with the house DJ. Would love to hear what others are planning on putting on their play-lists :-)
  15. I love the idea of creating a magazine. My FI and I talk about our "get out of jail free person" i.e. celebrity we would be with if they would have us ;-) I would love to photoshop pictures of both us with that person for the magazine. Thanks for the website info.
  16. My FI and I also love The Sandlot, we are both dying to see your T-shirt!
  17. Thank you so much for posting this. I too am not as creative as I wish I was and it's so nice to see what others do so that I am not passing out plain white photocopy pages in courier font ;-)
  18. So excited to see that everyone is having such fantastic experiences with the wishing lanterns. My good friend from college is from Taiwan and was telling me about their New Years celebrations where they send thousands of these off at a time. She then sent me a video of one of these celebrations and I was so amazed I knew I wanted to do something similar at my wedding. Our wedding coordinator at the restaurant we are celebrating at has okayed the use of them, but cautioned us that if it's too windy it won't be allowed. Fingers crossed that the wind lays low and that we get to experience all those wonderful wishes taking flight. I wish you all the best of luck with your weddings and with your lanterns! P.S the use of the kerosene pots in the sand is brilliant!
  19. Natalie, Watched your video after finding it on the Wishing Lantern thread. Such a beautiful wedding and amazing video. You guys looked like you had a perfect day and truer words were probably never spoken at a ceremony. I loved every part of it. Congratulations!
  20. Thanks for sharing! I can't access any attachments yet so it was nice that you posted directly to the site.
  21. I was leaning towards Honeyfund, but not thanks to the researches on this site (some of you are so good at this stuff) I think I'm going to go with Honey Luna. I love the idea of a travel expert helping you plan. Thanks everyone who provided info.
  22. Megs and Jlarruda, I would love to get together whenever you both have time. In November after your wedding Jlarruda and Megs anytime. I sometimes feel like I have stuff under control and then sometimes I realize that there are so many little things I'm forgetting about. Would love to talk to someone who is in the process or has already done it ;-) If there is anyone else from Boston please feel free to join us. Thanks again, Sheri
