I just read my post again and despite my spelling, I swear I'm not stupid! lol!!! I'm seriously just so upset.  A huge part of that dream beach ceremony I have stuck in my head is the BEACH!!!  I don't want to sound overly dramatic, but I'm not going to be happy about the wedding if it's not on the beach.  But what am I supposed to do at this point if it does not work out the way I want it to.  I have already paid off my stay, my guest have put down money and I have deposits on the wedding and a photographer.  I really feel like my hands are tied at this point and I don't have a choice either way.  I have to say, I'm not loving the experience I've had with MP up to this point!

DON"T GIVE UP!! Regardless you're paying money to have your wedding there. This is your big day and it can never be redone. You better call them up tomorrow and fight until you get what you want!!

Do you have old emails that you can refer to?  Showing an exchange with you and your WC, reserving your ceremony spot??  If so then I would use those to help you get what you want.  Don't give up.  Put up a fight and don't take no for an answer.

I am sorry to hear this!!

I've emailed my WC about 3 times, making sure she has my ceremony and reception spots reserved.  I save all her emails.  Each time she comes back and says "yes, it's been reserved since 7/10/10".

I am having the same thing happening to me now.  My TA and I had discussed a time and location and now the WC there is saying that she doesn't have that information and that there is already a wedding there going on at that time.  How is that possible?

I really don't know.  This morning I sent an email to Edith (WC's assistant), Kalena (WC), Lorena (Miami contact), Lisa (Miami supervisor) and my TA telling each of them how disappointed I am about this and my overall experience with MP so far.  Not one of them responded to me. My travel agent reached out to her contact in Miami and she said she will speak to the Cancun office about it and see what can be done.  However, they did bring up the fact that not many of my guest have booked yet anyway.  Really???  Wow, that's because my booking deadline isn't until March and most people plan on getting the holidays over with first and I really don't think the size of my wedding should in any way impact the level of service they provide.  It has taken me two months to finally get the contact info for my WC and then they had to nerve to question why I waited so long to confirm the location.  Not to mention, I've been told serveral times that I have to wait until 90 days prior to the wedding to make these sort of plans.  I truly wish I could have all of my money and guests money refunded and book somewhere else.

Hi Everyone!  This is my first post but I'm been lurking for awhile.  :)

So we booked our wedding at Moon Palace for January 2011!  Yay!  Our wedding is two months away and I'm not hearing back from the wedding planner or coordinator.  Is anyone else having this problem?  We are less than 2 months away from the wedding, what do I do?  Help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
