Kuteliya's PR wedding Review

Recommended Posts

So FI and I finally sat down to review everything and anything wedding related. Here it goes smile78.gif! Sit back and get your popcorn.gif

Coordinator - Diferenciate, Inc. Iraida I. Rosario - A++++

She worked for us far beyond what we could ever expect and did everything to our best interest. This was the best decision we could have ever made for our wedding. From the first day to the day of, everything was taken care of to the T. She worked with us on every vendor, not just with the thought of us as a customer, but as friends. She was and is still the best friend we got out of our wedding. Before Iraida we found ourselves lost with so many vendor choices and honestly thought we wouldn't be able to make our budget since many of the recommended vendors charged an arm and a leg for their services. From the day we signed our contract we were in good hands. With a blink of an eye she went above and beyond what our contract stipulated. Fighting for our budget every step of the way and getting us deals we couldn't even imagine. Not only that but she worked out last minute things like hair and make up in a flash. Her extremely professional demure and perfectionist quality made this wedding the best day of our lives. We couldn't recommend her more!

Decorators - Konpalos- A++

What can I say about the decorators. My husband and I were both blown away the day of. We had a few meetings with them, showing us ideas and thoughts. Then the actual day came, and it was exactly as I had dreamed it to be. From the flowers, to the tables and even the decorations all around the whole room. We were supposed to have our ceremony on the beach, but due to rain they set up a room on the side LAST MINUTE. Let me tell you this, there is now way you could ever imagine they did that spur of the moment. The tables were amazing, and the centerpieces looking gorgeous! The drapes, candles and even all the way down to the little details on each table. Each accent of what we wanted in our wedding came to life with these people. The flowers were fresh and everything was spotless. A dream setting for a dream wedding come true. Im definitely looking forward to seeing all the pro pics of this since i have so little pictures to show you but hopefully helpful cheesy.gif!

Music - DNA- A+++

DNA was a blast! The taste of music that my husband and I share is quite unique, so we were a bit weary on how this was going to turn out. We literally spoke to the band maybe twice about music. We even met with them about a week before the actual wedding to give them an idea of the music we wanted and what we had imagined for the day. The day could not have gone any better with the music that we had. Yet again, new friends made and great memories were had all night long. They played everything from salsa, to latin rock all the way to classic rock. They performed like the best of them on tour to be honest. We danced the night away and loved every song they played. The sound and the voice that came out of that group was perfect. They even managed our IPOD in breaks and for the ceremony. Darixa & Harold Hidalgo ROCKED IT OUT!

Cake - Granito de Azucar/Edwin - A+

Now this was something that we wanted to be special. We had gone to many of the "most acclaimed" cake vendors of PR. In all honestly most of them were extremely snotty and the charging us over $9.00 per slice plus design charges put us way over budget!... Since we didn't want just some ordinary tiered cake we tried to find someone that would make a cake to represent both of us. After a super long search I went to a bridal show in PR and found Edwin! His price was super reasonable and he didn't charge us extra for the design which was amazing! He was also super excited to do something out of the box which made it super awesome to work with him. We gave him the ideas of who we were, as if we were on one of the food network shows where they make the cakes in the competitions. After that, all we had to do was pick the flavors and the cake was perfect. It was exactly how we wanted it, and tasted great to boot. He had us over his house the first day to try a few flavors on short notice. My husband wanted to try the chocolate and he even gave us a piece he had baked for another customer and said they'll just make another for them. It was amazing! He really went into detail about who we were and his fondant work was great. Not to mention he has an array of different flavors ncluding pistachio, guava and almond... MMMMMM THE PISTACHIO KILLED ME!!

Photographer - Javier Antonio - A+

Javier, ahh how much could I even say about our photographer. This was a great experience! From the trash the dress session we had all the way to the day of the wedding! Professional to every extent of the word. We are anxiously awaiting our wedding day photos, if they are anything close to the pictures from the TTD, we will have NOTHING to complain about at all.

Limo Service - A+

The limo service we had hired was very professional and very prompt. They picked up everybody on time and in a very friendly manor. We have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. Top notch. They even stayed longer when dropping off the bridal party at the beach club due to the monsoon rain HELL that was going on outside and waited until everyone of the guests entered before escorting us out the limo.

Hair and Make up - Felix- A+

A great price, and an awesome job on every single one of my girls. This was one thing that probably took the most effort out of everything to pick, and let me tell you this... It was PERFECT! The colors, the materials and the effort put into the work was spot on. I was complimented beyond question about the makeup/hair and how we all looked. Some of the girls were a bit hesitant but after they were finished, they just looked like goddesses! His assistant and him were super QUICK to! Extremely professional to work with!

Location - Escambron Beach Club - C+

I have to say, this wasn't the best experience of all for our wedding. My husband had to have quite a few talks with the rep here, thank God he is calm and collective because somehow he gets his way on almost everything he tries to do. We had bumps and hiccups throughout the whole ordeal. From setting up a food tasting, to getting coffee for everybody set up. Even making sure we got a refund for the price difference from having the ceremony inside instead of on the beach. But in the end, everything worked out. The food was awesome, just amazing to say the least. Everybody bragged about it, and to be honest it all came together in the end. So all in all, the experience was good... in the end. But the road to get there was a bit too bumpy for me to really enjoy.

Welcome Dinner - Don Tello A+

Now this restaurant was great for both of our families to finally meet. New York meets Puerto Rico, in a Puerto Rican restaurant! They accommodated all of us and fed us till we could burst. They were supposed to close at 8pm and left the restaurant doors opened for all our family to get there. We loved this restaurant because there was a great variety of food and everybody got to have something new or the one dish they loved. Everybody bragged about the food after that night. The environment was one to chill and relax and interact. It was simply put amazing!

Overall the wedding was a blast! We couldn't have asked for a better representation of who we were as a couple and for an awesomer(yes it's a new word!) night.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
