Hi choeft201,

Been meaning to tell you, don't worry about final count. It's going to be wonderful. To be honest as of right now I have a little over 100 invites I will send out later in september But we are actually hoping for maximum of 50-60 guests. And we have told ourselves if we only have 30 or less it will be the people we love the most and it'll be an even more intimate and special affair to remember. So don't worry it's going to be super special   and I bet unforgettable affair for all 24 of your guests ! Good luck with dress fitting, I know it must be so exciting for you ...it's almost time msnwink.gif

Seriously? Crap. this is going against my entire plan.  When my FI and I were initially talking to Kelley, this was never disclosed.

My FI and I also want to work it out so that him and his groomsmen come over a few hours before the large group so we can take 1-on-1 photos and bridal party photos.  HMMMMMM ... AHHHHHHH crap.

Has anyone else requested/paid for a 2nd smaller boat to go over for the boys before the larger catamaran?

After you hit the 6 people (that includes the bride and goom) it is around $79 a person for additional people

I could have sworn I saw pictures of a wedding where the groomsmen came over on their own boat. Hmmm...

I am getting married on a Sunday, so it might be different because they do not have any tours that day, but here is what we are doing. The girls are going over in the morning as part of the 6 person deal. We will be leaving from the Marina. That includes fun on the beach and lunch. Our hair/makeup girl and her assistant (I brought them from home) are leaving at 1230 but they have to leave from Boca De Tomatlan, a small fishing town a cab ride away. This is so we don't have to pay. Then the guys and the photographer are coming over through Boca De Tomatlan also leaving at 2:15 to arrive around 3. She said if we wanted them to leave from a boat in the marina it would be over 400 dollars. I guess the Boca De Tomatlan port is where the employees come and go. Hope that helps!

We leave the 26th! Our legal wedding is the 20th, my bday is the 25th, and the 29th is our Las Caletas wedding, wooohoo!! :)

We just got back from our honeymoon and let me tell you ladies, Las Caletas was AMAZING!!  I do not have anything bad to say, and will finish my review tonight.  Kelley is a lifesaver and I cannot tell you how calm and relaxed she made everything, Brad was hilarious and a ton of fun and we used the wedding photographer there and he was a blast.  The entire experience was perfect and our friends and family are still speechless at how beautiful everything was.  The fire dancers are worth every penny, and Fernando the hair guy is awesome and did a great job on everyone's hair and makeup...and I have some pretty tough bridesmaids to please.  All around I am still so incredibly happy with how everything turned out.  I wish we could do it all over again for fun.

Hi Lesley...I get marrie d the day after you on Monday, May 30th :)

What an exciting week for you and so many things to celebrate. It definitely going to be very memorable. I can't wait to see your pictures and reminisce with you after the wedding.

I will be gone for 2.5 weeks after for our honeymoon, but I will be back on the forum once we are home.

Hi Horegan,

Your wedding looked beautiful! I can't wait for mine eventhough its over a year away! Did Kelley supply the turquoise piece on your chuppa and did she charge extra for that? Also, did you buy the limes in P.V. for your escort umbrellas or did Kelley get them ! I love that idea. Congrats!

Thanks!! It was SUCH a wonderful day. Kelley did supply the turquoise fabric, but I think we paid something like $100 to use it (kind of silly if you ask me, because they had it there).  As for the limes, I bought some in PV and then proceeded to forget to bring them, so Las Caletas graciously let us use theirs. Tim (my hubby) broguht over the limes I forgot and we gave them to Las Caletas, but I am sure it wouldn't have mattered. :)

Hi so totally random, but was wondering what everyone is giving as gift favors? I read a post today on girftfavors and thought maybe small tequila bottle would be cool, though I don't know if this will offend some family members?smile43.gif...but hey we're in Mexico anything goes right?

Anyhow I have plenty of time to decide on that, just curious about it cause I recently read something about on Projectwedding.com

ok ladies

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
