  1. Hi ladies long time since Ive checked back on this thread, Our first dance was a song my hubby dedicated to me: Charlie wilson: YOU ARE
  2. well don't worry laura I actually didn't finalize my bill until a week and a half before my wedding basically because they werent responding to me with finalized bill. Also once everything is paid no more can be subtracted. Example: I had two guests cancel on me 2 days before the wedding, I figured I wouldnt get my money back but asked anyways and was told nope once bill is paid they already have the arrangements in the works . So dont worry as long as you pay before you get to PV and WC confirms they have recieved it you are good. Make sure she confirms though they have recieved money
  3. It was 82 degrees during my visit so it felt very.cOmfortable . However before the ceremony walking around taking pics around las caletas my thighs felt warm but again this is mostly because of the dress . I wouldn't worry if I was you . No matter what just from excitement or maybe thickness of your dress you will feel warm no matter what and eventually not even notice it
  4. Kya beautiful pics! Exotic flowers include orchids. I had to pay the extra 100. But's that's all for pretty much alot of orchids everywhere in our decorations. however my Bridemaid's bouqets also had white calla lilies and white orchids and they were $50 dollars each (because of orchids)which I thought was very expensive . But since I love flowers I gave in
  5. Ok since I'm on a roll I might as well post some pics. some will be better than others these were taken from multiple guest's cameras
  6. Hi ladies just a sneak peak from out photographer. http://michelleturnerphotography.net/blog/ Also want to give credit again to this designer who made so many stationary details in our wedding amazing http://mymemoriesoftoday.blogspot.com/2012/01/kathleen-sherwin-puerto-vallarta-mexico.html
  7. Also wanted to share my invitations, PDF design for bags, and wedding scrolls created by this talented designer . She understood my every detail when planning these things. http://mymemoriesoftoday.blogspot.com/2012/01/kathleen-sherwin-puerto-vallarta-mexico.html
  8. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/las-caletas-adventure-weddings/reviews Finally wrote review, warning its long...pics soon sometime this week
  9. I brought my own unity sand set. I bought it online and pink and white sand at Michaels stores. When I went to michaels they actually sell unity sets for cheaper than I paid...oh well. The WC was surprised I brought my own, so I assume they might provide it for you...but then you can't take it home.?? My boat ride with BMs was about 40 mins with other tourists @9:00am. My hubby and GMs left from Boca de Tomalan (fishing town south of puerto Vallarta, 15 min cab ride from dreams PV resort where we stayed). They took a nice speedboat which they said took them less than 20 mins to get to Las Caletas. (My photographer was also with them). Boat ride for guests out of PV maritime left @ 4:45pm and they said trip was about 45 mins. We bought tons of Dramimine for all guests and no one took them. Everyone said ride was smooth and no sickness.
  10. ivetti we had 30 guests but denise insisted we have 4 tables and one table for me and my groom in the middle. Honestly it worked out perfectly and comfortably. we seated 8 guests per table including 2 extra photographers. we did do place cards which were not set on each place, instead guests picked them up from a pretty sand box denise set up for guests on their way to reception area. It's up to you but I didn;t want guests walking around table to table looking for their name
  11. Hi Ivetti I did one bag per couple as I figure men don't do tote bags usually. But pretty much every single traveller I gave a tote bag too, including men in which case I knew they wouldnt use but figured their GFs or mother or any women in their life back home might use. But actually I did see the men use them when they went on a fishing trip to hold their gear in . I got mine from www.ingreetings.com VERY VERY cheap. my tote was 16x16x4 and had a custom PDF printed on my totes. Right now totes are on sale! I paid $3.75 a tote but i just checked their website and prices are now 1.75!! The totes are not luxurious but they serve their purpose if you don't mind having a cheaper looking tote. Guests loved them and raved on the creativity behind it. Also I am not computer savvy so I had a PDF design made by my invitations designer. www.memoriesoftoday.com I put a survival compact bag(bought @ 99cents store) . Inside each compact bag had (2 tablets) pepto, (2 tablets) immodium, small sunscreen, spf chapstick, bandaids. i shopped for these items at walmart and honestly probably each tote bag with survival kit inside cost me a total of about $8.60 to $9.00 dollars and that's a rough estimate . anyhow whatever you decide on , you'll guests will truly love it and you will see them using them throughout the trip.
  12. Hi ladies , <just took a quick min to check my emails and BDW , but my wedding was yesterday!! ladies it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everyone was blown away! i will write my full review when i get back. as for the wedding coordinators they work their butts off and trust me will get every detail down to the T. I was a very particular bride with my details and had many plus extra ideas added and was afraid it wouldnt be what i expected but sincerely it was the fairytale wedding of my dreams!!! and to someone who asked about music, just have to say the DJ was off the chain!!! music was awesome , everyone i do mean everyone was on the dancefloor all night!!!! taxis are fairly cheap. cab ride to maritime terminal for my bridesmaids in morning was 150 pesos (and 1 dollar is 12 pesos ) . ok ladies talk to you soon.... loving puerto vallarta with my family and friends for the rest of the week..
  13. Ok So spoke to Dennise, slideshow is 75 dollars and CD burned from a powerpoint presentation is the best way to go she said. She will be getting minister to email me soon to work on my ceremony , and sending me seating chart that I can work on...so I hope I receive this no later than Saturday. ...Let's see. I do have a the las caletas template but tweaked slighty to have 2 readings from Family members so just want minister to be in the Know of that. 17. Well lets put it this way...she has responded to me on i'd say 90% of my questions. When she does respond she sounds great and like she will do a great job creating my dreamwedding. Thats all I'll say I will give my full review of her once my wedding is done. i really want to believe that she will get all the details perfect like I know Kelley wouldve of . But to answer your question she has not answered this question about slideshow (along with the other 10% of unanswered questions) which i asked about a week ago....and i dont exactly have time to just wait before i create the slideshow...Should i burn a DVD or a CD? will they have projector for me? I know there is a fee which is fine, what should i expect during ceremony .....hmmm I hate to have unanswered questions seriously we're paying alot of $$$ to not have all the answers to our questions 12days before our wedding
  18. Hey past bride, Anyone do a slideshow before? Did you burn it on a CD or bring a USB? I am thinking of doing this but can't get a hold of my WC. thanks ladies. countdown 13 days before i say I DO!!
  19. Jaykay great planning thread. WOW props on staying under budget. That's amazing. I wish you two the best I know everything will be beautiful!
  20. OMG girls I leave in 10 days!!! I am still running around like a headless chicken though! I work in healthcare and only work 3 days a week (12 1/2) hour shifts but damn I can honestly say almost everyday of all of December I gave myself a task for the wedding. I am still working on little things!! From waiting for bathing suits orders to arrive from victoria secret to gathering photos of FI and I for a slideshow...thank goodness a BM has volunteered to make the slideshow for me . But seriously Just making sure everything is in place is crazy, I still need to get a haircut, take my doggy to the kennel and almost done with my music selection to send to DJ . Oh man, anyone who says Destination wedding brides have it easier than planning a wedding here is wrong!! I'll just say it is much cheaper and It's only easier because it's for a smaller group of guests .But all the same work is needed to plan a wedding. I can't wait to write my planning/wedding thread but i'll do that when I return...I seriously don't have the energy to do it now! I've been waking up at 430am and 530 am thinking about all the things I need to do for the past week. Finally I had a great 15 hour sleep yesterday!!! I just crashed. btw Happy New years!!!!
  21. AM I am sorry as well to hear about your family ties being severed. I also agree that your husband is your new family and best friend.
