Also just a tip,The cups are really small they serve there so pack a travel mug or hand them out in your oot bag which I'm sure you've read all about in the other forum topics. They really do come in handy and is a nice souvineer for the guests to take home!

Thanks so much Mrs Dow! You have been so much help the last few weeks.I looked at your TTD pictures and the are wonderful! I love how bright the colours turned out in them. You must be so pleased with them!

I am getting really excited for my wedding. My wedding date is exactly 6 months from today actually!

we tipped the steel drum band, the waiters/cooks from dinner, the bartenders, and the DJ.

We were planning on tipping the minister as well but the day before our wedding we had our rehersal and we found out that his daughter had broken her leg that day so he was only there for like 10 minutes. He disappered right after the ceremony on our wedding day so we think it's probably because he was going to be with his daughter. Plus we had to pay him the $400 cash from the package so he got paid pretty well if you ask me lol

Anyone else going to be there April 10-17th, 2011. We are getting married on the 12th. I am soooooooo excited and sooooo happy, everything is pretty much taken care of soooo I am hoping to just relax from here on in !!!

BRIDES- does anyone know if you can bring some decorations for the tables at the restaurants. I was thinking votive candles and fake sea shells on the table or fake flowers petals.

Also, does anyone know the website for the resort photographer ?

I am sooooooooo excited, wahoo !

Thanks! It really was the most amazing week of our lives. everyones already asking if we can do it again next year for our 1st anniversary and we're actually thinking about it! lol. You will have such a great week!

lol my ttd is actually from sears. I was going to use my actual wedding dress for our ttd but then with like a month to go changed my mind and needed something quick and ordered that one for only $70 on sale! Up close the beading on the front was a little tacky I will admit  (and freaked out about it when i first saw it lol) but it doesn't show in the pictures so far, so I'm happy!

I was actually wondering the same thing earlier today.  I saw in a post from another bride quite some time ago that the resort did not have a steamer although the flower place would do it for $90usd.  I'm not sure if GBPJ has since invested in a steamer, but if anyone ever gets a response from Bev or the assistant Chandlyn please let us know.  Thanks ladies!

Yes - you can take your own decorations for tables, etc. I have that info in the package Chandlyn sent me.

Resort photographer is Digipix and I think the website is digipixltd.com  Just google Digipix Ltd. and it should come up.  Their website is ok, but I didn't like the look of his photos.

We have a photographer in Jamaica booked that I got from this site. He sounds great and his website is terrific. His prices are really reasonable and you have him for the entire day all to yourself.  I think we're also going to have him come early in the day and do some engagement pics as well. Not sure yet.

A word of warning for anyone still trying to get their travel group together, i.e. anyone like me with a November wedding. All of the tour companies - Transat, Sunquest, etc are all instituting a fuel surcharge. If could raise your resort package prices by as much as nearly $200 per couple. I know for us, for some people, that's going to be the difference between attending our wedding and not attending our wedding. I've asked that our trip quote include the new surcharge so that people get a real price, not get hit with another $200 bucks after they say yes. If you're still waiting for a group package quote, be sure to ask to have the new surcharge included. You don't want any angry guests that are pissed at you cuz you didn't give them the whole story!!

TMWedding2011, and acw271011, you can also add Merrick  Cousley to facebook, he has some beautiful wedding photos that he took on his facebok page too. I was blown away by them. I am getting married August 18th and we have booked Merrick for our wedding! He was the most affordable, you get more with him than with any of the other photographers that I contacted, he is great at returning emails right away, and you get him for the whole day for much less than other photographers charge for only a few hours.

thanks ACW271011, I did not get any packages if info yet and I am leaving in 50 days, I find it takes them forever to get back via email.  I realize they are busy.
