We are doing these!!  They are made by Kate Aspen and come in "Mix & Mingle Key Lime Margarita Mix" and "Razzle Dazzle Raspberry Iced Tea Mix" and "Main Squeeze Lemonade Mix".  We are actually doing the lemonade mix and trading the red umbrellas for orange because our colors are yellow and orange! You can find them as cheap as $2, depending on the # you need.  They come in packs of six!

I am making Mango jam for our favours.  They will also act as place cards - on the label I am going to put the flavour, a thank you note and on the other side I am going to have the guests name and the first line of our wedding song "strange and beautiful are the stars tonight".

Our ahr invites are green and brown, a change from our champagne and navy colours we used in Jamaica.  I am doing an 'autumn at the beach' theme for our ahr (it's October 1st) which is why I decided to make preserves out of a tropical fruit to kind of meld the 2 together.  I hope I can get 100 jars made in time!  We are also using the beach chairs with tealights and small pumpkins for centrepieces.

I love all of these ideas! We are planning on having a photobooth but weren't really doing that for favor purposes. I am going to make a cookbook with Jamaican recipes and on every other page will be love quotes, scriptures, and poems. I will call it something like Recipes of or for Love--something cute, but I still have to work on that part. I am also thinking about getting the measuring spoons that say "love beyond measure" to attach to the ribbon I will put around the cookbooks. Now I want to do the beach in a bag too! We'll see!

These are all such great ideas.  As of right now I have no clue.  I am leaving the AHR up to the FI since his parents are picking up the tab.  I am the one planning everything for the wedding so he gets the AHR haha.  I'll keep all these ideas in mind so I can suggest them when he has no clue what needs to happen.

Our AHR is next week and after hours of going back and forth about favors, I finally decided to donate to charity instead.  I printed up really pretty cards with the donation info and will put one at each guest's seat. A lot of Charities will also print up cards for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
