I was wondering the same when I saw those last pictures...

My TA mentioned that sometimes Dreams will let you have your private reception in one of the restaurants if your party size is big enough AND the resort is at 60% capacity or less...this has not been confirmed by Ana and I absolutely planned to discuss this with Ana when I go down in May for the site visit.
I know that they usually have one restaurant closed down at night so it doesn't seem like it would be a huge issue to have your reception there.

have you guys seen all of these yet? ana sent them to me
I really prefer the location of Stephanie & Raoul's ceremony...my FI does not want to be married on the sand, and I do not care for the wedding gazebo at DRC...does anyone know what the location is of this ceremony? It appears to be some type of deck/patio. Thanks!

My TA spoke with Ana the other day about us bringing in an outside photogrpaher. I was interested in Claudia. Ana says I can't bring one in and have to use the resorts photographer which is Adventure Photos. I am so confused! She gives different answers to everyone. Adventure seems alright but I have seen much better!

Me too! I asked Ana about having my dinner in one of the restaurants and she said they would never do this! Geesh. I wonder if the dinner would still cost the same as if you had it on the pool deck or beach, etc.?

Has anyone had Ana confirm all their choices for the wedding? My wedding is 7 weeks away and I can never seem to get a straight answer from her. I am a little worried since everything she has ever sent me has been so vague and over e-mail so I have not seen one document such as a contract to show what is going on for my wedding. Well.. I should say she sent me a contract that stated my date and time but pretty much everything else said TBD and when I asked her about a contract she said it was all good since it is all verbal through our e-mails. Has anyone else ran into this?

Maybe I am being worrried for no reason but I wanted a little reasurance that they have us down for everything we have chose so far.

Girls I am sorry everyone is having such a hard time with Ana and her delayed responses. I am with you on it. I always wonder if she reads this message board. lol

Anyways I wonder if it is like this with the other Dreams chains. I had always read such great reviews about Dreams and the price is much more then other wedding venues. You would think that they would have some sort of idea how to run it all in a timely manner. Ana needs help it sounds like I can not imagine how incredibly busy she must be. But I do not understand why some people are getting somethings and other people are not. I wonder if anyone else that was a dream bride had to deal with this.

I love seeing all the pictures of the weddings it does make me feel it is all going to work out in the end. Has anyone seen any reviews for those weddings yet?

Big hug to everyone planning. Sometimes you have to take a break from it for a while. It seems to help some.

Your wedding reception can be held in one of the closed restaurants if it rains, the only problem is if you have dj they cant play in this area. I was told the dj couldnt be in any of the restaurants...The other thing is you wont know what restaurant is closed until that week.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
