ROR- Opinion from past brides!!

Recommended Posts

I felt awesome because I vowed to myself and my BM's that I was not going to let anything ruin my day. I was not that pleased with Chandlyn at all, as someone else stated...we were just another wedding to her. No one actually met up with us to walk us down to the gazebo like they were supposed to, so we just walked ourselves down... Then as we walked past the lobby, all of a sudden someone wanted to walk with us.

But, overall I LOVED IT... There were only a few brides getting married there, but that didn't interfere with my wedding. We got married on Sat June 14 2008...

I think a lot of it is how you make it yourself. We got prime service from a couple bartenders at the bars while in between the wedding and dinner...we never waited for a drink. People around the resort were also good ..lots of congratulations and I had a chance to talk with others brides too (prior to wedding). It was neat.

I found that Chandlyn was very busy but also had it together..she knew what you wanted and followed through. I would totally do my wedding there again ..there are just a few personal things I would change (not being so nervous throughout the week).

I wonder about this same exact thing. My worry is that since there are 3 weddings a day it will feel overcrowded. I worry about sharing my reception with another bridal party. I also worry that with the beach ceremony I will be too focused the people who are swimming and partying beside the gazebo. As time gets closer I worry about alot and wonder if I picked the right resort for me.

I am getting married 10 days before you. I wondered the exact same thing having been at destination weddings and noticed the topless women in the periphery watching the ceremony. The couple who got married didn't notice anything though and were totally focused on what was going on.

Also, I was a bridesmaid here in Toronto a few years ago on a particularly rainy day. The photographer took us to some indoor site to do photos and we saw what had to be 10 other wedding parties taking their photos in the same venue. This absolutely felt overcrowded and it was too many brides for 1 building. I don't think that you'll notice the other weddings on your day (if there are other weddings). At least I am telling myself that wink.gif

    • I and my partner are going to get married on August 12th. We met each other through a lesbian dating website. Both of us want that day to be a memorable day. We are in confused on which dress to wear for the wedding ceremony. Any suggestion on lesbian wedding dress? I prefer white, whereas my partner prefers of-white. Which one do you think will look good? Should we go for same dress or different one? Share your thoughts.
