Opinions needed on wedding party attire

Recommended Posts

Ok I was having a really hard time deciding on color combinations. I bought bridesmaid dresses that I LOVE but the are a very hard color to match. I originally wanted the guys ties and chair sashes to be the same color as their dresses but I eventually gave up when I couldnt find anything. So after all that this is what I came up with:

Girls dresses (green-ish color)

Groom- linen suit (pants and jacket), white dress shirt and brown tie.

Groomsmen-the same minus the jacket

RW&CO.

Here is a pic of it with a white shirt

...and the tie is chocolate brown

Sorry about the link it wouldnt let me copy the pic

So the plan is to have brown chair sashes on white chairs to match the guys ties...do you think this is too boring? Also what color sandles would you get the bridesmaids to wear on their feet? This has for sure been the toughest part of planning so far. Thanks soooooooooooo much in advance for your thoughts :)

I think that would be really pretty-not boring wink.gif What about getting the bm's a silver, gold, or bronze colored sandal-that way you don't have to find that exact color bc that might be a pain. I originally wanted everything to match too and then I realized it wasn't possible. Everything you have picked out looks great!

Everything looks great! I think a gold or bronze shoe would go best with your brown accents. What color are you thinking for your bouquets? You could always add another accent color in those to spice things up if you're afraid it's not colorful enough.

I agree with the sandals as well as the accent color!

You are doing exactly what I did with my colors. my girls had turquoise and my guys had brown. I found sandals for my girls that were brown and had a shell flower on the toe that was kind of bronze colored...I'm sure you'll find somehting. I liked how our colors blended, I'm sure you'll love yours. I don't think it's boring at all! I did think of adding a bright orange at one point though but in the end I figured...the simpler the better!

I agree with Desiree (lol.. as always) - I would absolutely do a metallic shoe as your accent color. Then perhaps echo that metallic in jewelry and some other small accents in the wedding (candle holders, etc). Personally, I love natural color combinations for a beach wedding; allows for the setting to really shine.

Agree! I would personally go with silver though to match those dresses.. I dont think turquoise and gold really go together but thats my personal opinion! in the end its not going to make a difference if their shoes fit in with the brown/turquoise theme ya know?

btw, my FI and his groomsman are wearing the same as yours, minus the brown tie!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
