"So You Think You Can Dance" Summer 2009

I think the boys won ABDC. I didn't pay attention to last season as much as the first season though.

 

I defintiely agree that they put appearances and personality above actual dance skill a lot of the times when choosing people, but that's not surprising. Pretty people and big personalities tend to grab people more. I don't even remember what Kaitlyn looks like or who she is, but I think Natalie is gorgeous, so if they are going on beauty they should have at least picked her too!

MTV. It's not on right now, but maybe you can catch it on youtube or something. This past season (I think it was the third) was the best season by far. It had Hawk and Dominic from SYTYCD on one crew and another dude that was cut during Vegas week. They were incredible. They battled for the top spot against an all b-girls group. These girls were amazing!!

That's my husband! He came in last night and said- oh man that crap again- and he didn't move a muscle until the show was over !!

 

My 9 year old does competitive dance so she loves the show- she loves being on stage! It's funny to see her practice certain moves during the commercials. She does ballet & jazz, took tap this year for the first time and will try hip hop next year!

It was upsetting when the judges cut Natalie from the competition. I liked her from last season and was excited to see her again. There was another dancer that wasn't that great during the choreography and they let her stay for another round because she was able to dance for her life, I can't remember her name right now. They didn't even give Natalie a chance to do that, I thought that was a bit unfair.

I agree that it's as much about looks/sex appeal/ personality as it is about dancing skills, or sometimes more so. But let's face it, we want to watch attractive people dance!

I don't want to spoil it for people too but I will say that there are people that made it that I am thrilled they did and others that didn't make it that totally should have...sigh!!

Hi Guys- can we talk about the top 20 now? I CANT belevie that kaitlyn chick made it - ugh she better be good! I am happy though that that first girl (jenette?) made it - Im a fan of hers.
